As iTunes is amongst my very least favorite applications for Windows (it's extremely slow despite my expensive hardware, I only use it to sync my iPhone), I'd say it's more like giving a glass of slow shitty software to someone in hell. Make better software, Apple!
@DrCaptainNonsense the problem with iTunes on WIndows (together with a huge number of other apps) are because of Windows itself, as far as I know. On my MAC iTunes works pretty quick.
That's why even high-end hardware is not enough when a system like Windows can't make use of it.
Buying a MAC you pay for engineering as well. That's why with even worse specs all run faster on MAC OS X.

Yeah windows is so horrible. Anyone can design programs and apps for it using standard programming language, they don't have to go through an approval board. THey don't have to pay royalties to an OS company. You can get work done and use useful programs made by a 13 year old kid in his bedroom if it helps you get your job done....wow...fuckin' windows.

if itunes wasn't available on windows then i doubt alot of people would of bought iphones or pods in the first place but however they can try and change that in future if the iphone becomes a common household product. That is the money grabbing market of apple.
But in getting itunes you have to also get all the bloatware of quicktime, safari and other such crap you don't need. I just tell people to force windows media player to put songs on their ipods, don't need all the other crap on your pc then.
iTunes on Windows is slow, buggy and generally pretty irritating. I mostly use Mac, on which iTunes runs perfectly fine. If I used a PC for my iPhone I'd probably use Winamp or something.

Itunes is only good if you are too brain-dead to use anything with a complex UI. Winamp is by far the most advanced, expandable and customizable player out.

A classmates macbook had its USB hubs become pushed so far into the casing the Mac stopped recognizing the charger and USB hubs. He sent it in, it came back a week later good as new - but it wasn't.
PC: One part breaks, buy new part and reassemble yourself.

@404noko Ha! Thats funny considering all Macintosh's are developed around the unibody design and most are safely incased in a sturdy aluminium body. If one part did actually malfunction or otherwise, Apple is more than likely to replace it for you at no cost, simply walk into an Apple Store.
As for the iTunes thing, true it isn't great on the Windows OS, but most other alternatives are shiz. You don't hear to many people getting all excited about Windows Media Player.

@rubnaus Who the hell PAYS for virus scanners? I use AVAST, which is free, and works perfectly. And while previous versions of Windows might have been visually utilitarian compared to Mac (Apple always puts a priority on style over substance), Windows 7 is beautiful. I was skeptical of Aero at first but after actually using it i loved it. PC is functionally better than Mac in every measurable way. Macs are for girls and femme hipsters who like to spend daddy's money.

A classmates macbook had its USB hubs become pushed so far into the casing the Mac stopped recognizing the charger and USB hubs. He sent it in, it came back a week later good as new - but it wasn't.
PC: One part breaks, buy new part and reassemble yourself.
Mac: One part breaks, buy new part and have someone else repair it.

@404noko Ha! Thats funny considering all Macintosh's are developed around the unibody design and most are safely incased in a sturdy aluminium body. If one part did actually malfunction or otherwise, Apple is more than likely to replace it for you at no cost, simply walk into an Apple Store.
As for the iTunes thing, true it isn't great on the Windows OS, but most other alternatives are shiz. You don't hear to many people getting all excited about Windows Media Player.

2. Games typically require a large amount of computing power compared to other programs. They are a good benchmark of computer quality.

And while previous versions of Windows might have been visually utilitarian compared to Mac (Apple always puts a priority on style over substance), Windows 7 is beautiful. I was skeptical of Aero at first but after actually using it i loved it. PC is functionally better than Mac in every measurable way. Macs are for girls and femme hipsters who like to spend daddy's money.
