You know, I never thought about it but Sam and Ba'al are both easily the smartest characters on the show. There was some tension, but I don't see it myself.

That being said, Sam and Ba'al are my favorite characters. Sam's a hot blonde whos smart, and Ba'al, well Ba'al is Ba'al. He's the Magnificent Bastard behind Lex Luthor I'm willing to bet.
