The purpose of Wi-Fi is to provide wireless access to digital content. This may include applications, audio and visual media, Internet connectivity, or other data. It is he "INTERNET CONNECTION" that concerns me. Games and music is mediocre and does not put money in my pocket.

The Blackberry storm does not depend on wi-fi to connect to the internet thus avoiding you to drive to hot spots when you want to use your Blackberry storm as a router for your laptop.

i realize that but what about when your not in 3g service area, like right now i dont have 3g bit i do have wifi in my house, it still has its purposes

yeah, you can hover and iphone you can't. big deal, no wifi and no fees for access. verizon network is huge and reliable (there are more radios inside the Storm than the iPhone).

vodaphone got em free with a 2/yr. damn vzw ripoffs. not to mention you have to have a data plan whether you use it or not so tack on another 30 a month, or if you want a work based email another 50 a month. cant get it on nationwide premium so if you want vznav, vcast, songid, or anything like that you gotta pay for it too. im curious to see if it streams vid, i know it can, i wonder if vzw will have that feature unlocked regardless i love vzw service and the price probably isnt gonna stop me

youll be pretty disappointed with the 3g. its the same thing but in plastic. this phone does much more and its just as easy to sync your music and videos, now. blackberry now syncs to itunes!
