  • How big is it?

  • just got my plans in my email this morning. Thanks! I am excited ti build it!

  • That's a nice setup. It would be perfect if you could put that on a slope and clean out the roosting board with an irrigation system. You could let the run-off go into a garden or raised bed.

  • clen all this crap?? o you eat creap?

  • I really need someone to build me one of these... any carpenters out there need a job?

  • if your interested you can find a cool farmville guide at

  • that looks better then my club house :D

  • Please do a video showing how easy the coop is to clean out. Thx. I like this design best, of the many I've been researching.

  • I have built several chicken coops, and found the best plans to be the ones at:

    how-to-build-chicken-coop.blogspot(DOT)com

  • that looks a lot like the coop i took out in iraq with my hellfire missile. this video was RIVETING and action packed btw. .. lol @ nub

  • @IceViper777 -- Get a life, kid. And stop living off of my tax dollars.

  • you're just jealous because you can't afford a $2 Billion stealth bomber.

  • @thinkrevolution @IceViper77 will stab you if you dont stop arking up, its true.

  • @thinkrevolution yeah he will, he is a master ninja trained in the art of stabbing. rofl

  • lol :D i wish i could shit that much :D lol

  • well there's lots of shit in it!

  • When you have baby chicks you want to put marbles in the water so they don`t drownd, right?

  • Yes, and it also helps attract their attention to the waterer in the first place.

  • Hello from Dublin, Ireland. Lovely coop..stands out from the crowd! Thinking of buying your plans. My husband has rudimentary skills and access to good tools and advice. How long do you think it would take him to build it?

  • Neat, we have a Dublin, GA, in The US. It is the home of the fighting Irish team. Are you closed to Belfast?

  • LOL @ the chickens in the window :)

    Nice house

  • Hello, I really like your chicken coop. I am planning to buy your plans but have a question. What was the total cost of the chicken coop, for about how much can you make that coop. Please answer back. I am looking forward to buying your plans. Thanks

  • FAbulous! That's the American way = Creative + Cool, good old Yankee Ingenuity - Hats off to you I hope you sell a lot of plans. Well done.

  • THANKS TRIPLE DOGG!

  • . have a coop like that but alot bigger 8ft wide x 12 ft long with 3 nesting boxes .. they are easy to make you dont really need plans to build

  • how often dose a chicken like that hen lay egg??

  • umm probobally once a day

  • i want to start a coop but have questions, are these just for eggs? where do you buy chicks from? do they need a heater/i live in the northeast ?can they run free in the day if i am not around?is it hard to get them back in the coop? how many chicks do you need for a dozen eggs per week? and what about guinea hens? better than chickens?any help would be nice?

  • Hello Papakeetee, A coop is a chickens home sweet home. A place where they are safe and can lay their eggs in peace. To buy chicks look on line or in your yellow pages for a place that sells farm feed and supplies, It's not hard to get them back in the coop, mine go in all by themselves at sundown. You will need 12 chickens to get a dozen eggs since they mostly lay 1 egg each per day, in the winter they lay less often. Hope this helps.

  • I like the outside ,but not easy to clean the inside.

  • what is wrong with you?

  • That's very nicely done. Great job presenting it, too!

  • We built this coop from Dennis' plans, and we just love it. It's the perfect size for a small suburban flock, and we get many, many compliments on it.

  • Great coop - very well designed, not only looks great but is practical. I will copy this for my next coop. Cheers.

  • Ver nice chicken coop! Amazing actually! I really enjoyed your video! It really helped me a lot!! I made a coop just like urs just a lot bigger!! I'm planing to make a small one like the one in this video to place next to my house that way I can keep my bantams close to me!

  • I love this idea Dennis! I think somewhere I saw you did this with cub scouts. I have a den myself and would love to do this! I'll be looking for the plans to purchase!

  • how many chickens can fit in a coop this size? We have 6 baby chicks (standard size) and I'm worried that we have too many now for a portable coop...

  • Nicely Done! I think I've seen your listing on E-Bay and there is obviously a need for this information. I'd like to add that for those wanting to hatch, incubate and raise their own flock, there is a DVD guide called Regarding Chickens. Also, some of these portable coops are good as garden prep... a book titled The Chicken Tractor gets into soil science and chickens... Nice stuff to know. THANKS hope you sell lots of plans!!!

  • Hi. Can you send us the plan and instructions for build it?
