The STIG was REVEALED about 2 weeks after he had the job. anyone who knows about touring cars could have told you way before the papers. still a nob for coming clean though. the whole point of the stig is he is a machine not a human. maybe he will get a job with fith gear now, they like shit touring car drivers.

Also, I'm going to stick up for Ben Collins here. No one really cares about he mystery of the Stig anymore, they only ever play it for laughs anyway. It was pretty much public knowledge for a few years before that Collins was the main man in the white suit. I'm sure he felt his cover had already been blown, rendering his confidentiality clause worthless and just didn't expect his bosses to get so uptight about it. Nothing to do with him being 'greedy'.
Actually, it also occurs that if they do go with the Jordan yellow - with black highlights of course - it might also work as a nod to how they feel they've been 'stung' by Mr. Collins recently. Actually they might yet go with silver as it's sort of a blend of both previous colours and could be McLaren-esque.
They may just keep Stig white this time, as he's become so much of a iconic avatar for the show with all the recent merchandising. If they do change it though remember that light green has been done before with 'electric Stig' and red was done with 'Commie Stig'. My money's on royal blue, yellow as a nod to Jordan or perhaps dark green, Britain's official racing colour.

He's not been the white Stig every single time. Kovalainen, Zonta and Schumacher have been the most famous stand-ins, for when the Stig had to drive a car that Collins wasn't allowed to. It IS Ben Collins. After Richard Hammonds Crash he was interviewed on BBC Radio 2 and they said his name was Ben Collins. I Can remember after seeing the name.

Ben collins maybe the stig but it is also rumoured to be 1 or 2 others.
in responce to Crashy5627 the stig drives the top gear track regularly therefore it makes sense he is faster than any of the F1 guys

Has the Stigs identity OFFICALY been revealed? someone said in their comment that if the Stigs identity was reveiled the person would b fired etc. But I dnt think his identity was reveiled officaly, its all mostly rumours, so if they were just rumours the person in question wouldnt get fired!

yes, but he is NOT The Stig!!! EVERYONE STOP SAYING THAT BEN COLLINS IS THE STIG!!! HE IS NOT!!! BBC said that there is a clause in stig's contract which saysthat if his identity is revealed, either through his own willingness or by one od the presenters of TopGear, then he has to be fired. So, in conclusion, since he still is on the team on TopGear, then HE IS NOT BEN COLLINS!!!

Im sure the BBC doesnt care about any rumours, as they are just that, rumours. No fact. So, apparently to your beliefs, if the public guesses correctly, he will get fired. Use common sense 'mate', that wouldnt happen at all. As long as any guesses (no matter how accurate) remain GUESSES, it is unnofficial and he wont get fired. So politely go fuck your mother mate!
