  • Emerson, Lake, Mitsuda, and Palmer!

  • P.S. After Magus' theme, this is my favorite song in the game :D

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi

    *Facepalm*

  • @UberUberLegend91 Both are pretty equal, he says...

  • Try play the organ part with a 88 key keyboard, and it's sure that your left arm will collapse to the ground! xD

It's a great song for training your arm for long and complex song like this!

Anyway I'm playing this game in these days and I'm loving it!

  • 3 people play Black Ops.

  • @UberUberLegend91 Why can't anyone play Black Ops and this?

  • @SqueeksoAo Hipsters, too main stream pahaha! :)

  • @UberUberLegend91 You know, I'm a Call of Duty fan and although I think CoD gameplay far exceeds Chrono Trigger gameplay (CT's just spam Luminaire till you win, while CoD requires you to actually use strategy), CT has a superior storyline and overall the better concept. So I'd say that both are pretty equal in terms of quality.

    P.S. This song ROCKS!

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi haha wait until you meet the red statues :D

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi What....you're serious? You're comparing Call of Duty, an FPS, where your main objective is SHOOT-FORWARD-AND-KILL-THINGS, and involves NO BRAINPOWER whatsoever, with one of the best RPGs of all time, that has a battle system that requires you to always think what your next move should be, while trying to be quick to counterattack and survive an onslaught of attacks the enemy RANDOMLY throws at you.

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi How old are you? 'cause only a this-gen modern FPS fanboy would say the stupid thing you just said.

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi Also let me guess, you played the game on an SNES EMULATOR, with a quicksave option, so you have no idea how frustrating it was when you actually have a SNES console and original game, with no quicksave option, and when you die you have to play from the last save point all over again. But that's what made these games so fun, the challenge! COD HAS NO CHALLENGE!

  • @TimelessOne123 Play some of the Spec Ops on veteran mode. Alone.

Both games are different, and I'm a big fan of both. CoD has better gameplay and more replayability, while Chrono Trigger had better storyline, presentation, concept, etc.

IMO they're both equal in quality.

  • @GrovyleXShinyCelebi That was nothing. I grew up on Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, and similar FPS. Every one of the CoD games was almost no challenge for me in single player. The only challenge is multiplayer, and that does not count in this discussion. Chrono Trigger was the first game to introduce Time Travel,Combo Attacks with other party members, use of actual Strategy in turn-based combat, multiple endings in a game, the list goes on. Not to mention the epic music, humor, and superior graphics to CoD.

  • oh yeah, throwing grenades over a roof HOPING someone is walking through the next alley over is TOTALLY strategy, its not luck or cheap in any way.

  • how do you get past the golem overlord :P

  • @BloodMannequin90210 He's impossible. You were supposed to beat the game before him when Crono fights Lavos. Crono was never supposed to die. You lost ):

  • @invaderpopz Naw it's cool I revived him cause Crono had another guy, see Crono's in the corner *Crono waves*

  • @invaderpopz lolwut

  • @JMinjaB No......

  • @MaximusDew1 yes...

  • so. much. nostalgia. gah.

  • "YES INDEED!" (Never understood the use of that line) xD

  • Hey everybody! I have released my new album 'Progenitor' which is electronic music inspired by great games such as Chrono Trigger. You can check it out and download it for free on my youtube channel if you're interested!

  • This song plays through my head when I'm taking a math test at school.

  • @PokabuLover123 Funny when i had math test i heard spekkio theme in my head

  • @PokabuLover123 It's almost the equivalent that you have to conquer... Give or take a few swords, fists, and elemental explosions.

  • Mario RGP

    Chrono Trigger

    FF VII

    Best RPGs ! *w*!

  • @Xxk0suxX but FF VII is of playstaion, not snes D:

  • @Xxk0suxX FFVII Get out. FFIV totally kicks VII's ass. VI even more so.

  • Bitches don't know about my 13 endings!

  • for some reason this theme will ALWAYS remind me of Giga Gaia, truly great boss

  • I totally agree.

That ominous feeling of being on top of a mountain and that big giant monster creeps out from down under. Favorite boss in the game!

  • Chrono Trigger >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> FF7

  • there is something i wonder...

how come every boss in the game (exept yakra) has at least one INCREDIBLE dangerous attack

as magus for example all his attacks EXEPT ONE attacks all of you party ppl and EVERY SINGLE ONE is deadly

  • @joemoe175 ya i remember that monster in that blue cave i dont remember kept killing me!

  • @mAg0mAN19 i just noticed i forgot to mention a boss without a dangerous attack the golem overlord (or golem boss) wich cant attack you at all >_> and wich blue cave do you mean?

  • @joemoe175 i really don't remember but it was a cave with water everywhere but i cant remember!

  • 2 people left this page to listen Rebecca Black.

  • @byurefcezarc you being one of them.

  • @dronesweeper No, I didn't. I listened before coming here.;3

  • @byurefcezarc that does not make rebecca black fans any less retarded.

  • @dronesweeper lol I'm not a fan of her, I didn't even knew she had fans. I faved her video for irony (and quick access to show that to my friends).x3 Don't get me wrong.

  • 2 People accidentally fought Magus, instead of letting him join their party.

  • chrono trigger > final fantasy games

  • Hehe guess 2 people failed to kill a Roly Rider ;)

  • rainbow sword had a 4,504,200,141% chance to crit. get some

  • this video gave me a boner

  • This music kicks ass.

  • whats up with square and spikey haired people and blond people, lol

  • Whenever I here this tune, I think of Crono, Marle, and Lucca up against that weird monster that kept saying "YES INDEED!".

  • @Link504 lol, wasn't that move that gave everyone a bitchslap? Or at least the sound affect was a bitchslap

  • X slash!!!!!!frog and chrono

  • This just needs to start with a "Roadhouse!"

  • this theme is so awsum

  • Two words: Giga Gaia.

  • Yes Indeed!

  • Ooh! A pleasurable tune! I am compelled to dance!

  • The Thuper Bowl halftime show should consist of aficionados dancing to this song.

  • Easily one of the best rpgs of all time. Replay value, Awesome tech combining build, sweet old school turn based action with a little twist. Can't beat it.

  • @synthetikcheese I've played both as wel. In fact I played Chrono Trigger before I played Super MArio RPG.

  • This right here is my childhood. Whenever I think back, I think of this game, and this particular music.

  • Final Fantasey 7

    Yes I know I know

  • why is marle using fire

  • @hoboeden It was a misprint on the original case for the game lol

  • i dont know if i like chrono trigger of ffx more...they are my favourite rpgs ever!and the music is the best(and mario rps on snes has neat music too)

  • Anyone else finding the background picture wierd as Marle shoots fire instead of ice/water?lol

  • Who said this was short? My play time curruntly is 25+ hours and it's my third playthrough. This is long in my opinion. Every other game I can complete in about 10. Also my fav line in the game.

All hp/mp restored! But your still hungry...

  • Best music in any RPG second only to FF6

  • @geogenetic Third to me (Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars)

  • @OmnomTheDevourer mario rpg has good music but chrono trigger ownz it

  • @SOUTHWESTENZ In your opinion.

  • @SOUTHWESTENZ Fuck Mario RPG it reused FF4's Boss theme

  • @2010gaje for one boss that was a final fantasy style boss, lol.

  • @geogenetic i think the composer of chrono trigger helped in ff6 but im not sure

  • @alexboivin well, they're both made by the same company, so...

  • @alexboivin No its the other way around Nobou helped the composer of Chrono Trigger for the Tyrano's Lair theme because he gotten sick or something went wrong and he couldn't do it at the time.

  • 3 video game magazines named this the best game of all time. i agree

  • WTF!!! 2 Stupid motherfucking noobs disliked this music???

    OMG....

  • @MrMooras You're a noob, in fact, people who say"x who disliked this are y" are retards.

  • @TheAngryVirgin

looks like you dont undestand jokes, gratz for your intellect

  • @MrMooras lok liek u dnt undertand your an idot

  • @MrMooras Angry virgin overacted, but that joke is so overused, it was never and never will be funny.

  • GO AHEAD!!!JUST TRY AND ATTACK!!

  • iam playing this on my ds on my first playthrough i have more than 30 hours of gameplay and havent finished it (too many side quests) :P

  • This music makes you want to pump iron.

  • @PavirryPe now that is all I will think of when I listen to it!

  • yakra, you muthaf*cka

  • I could never wait to fight another boss because of this to die for battle theme.

  • i remember when it took me literaly nearly 100 tries to beat giga gaia i had

    Crono Lv24

    Marle Lv24

    AylaLv24

and he whooped my ass over 50 times b4 i got the gold erng

  • Bitches don't know about my ruby vest.

  • @Alectr0n Oh fuck...

  • the marle's element is not ICE?

  • it should be...... oh wait that must have been early art work...

  • It's more like, the FF7 boss theme sounds like this. lol

Such a classic theme, it got me so pumped! That and the Legendary Battle. My God, what masterpieces they were. Come on Chrono Break, get the hell over here already!

  • EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC

  • Alright, so you have the drum set and the organ, would that main instrument be a french horn or a saxophone?

  • definitely sounds more like a french horn imo

  • I realized in my post that I forgot the bass guitar. So in reality, this song could be performed with 4 people, heh.

  • Genious!!!

  • Reminds me of Final fantasy 7 Boss battle theme

  • Nostalgic music ^^

  • yo odio a la gente que dice que el juego es corto.digamos, en otros RPG, por tan largos que sean, no tienen tantos finales como chrono trigger. es decir, con chrono trigger tienes mucho replay value, cosa que muchos RPG no tienen.

  • Translation for English speakers: I hate the people who say that the game is short compared to other RPGs. No matter how long they may be, they don't have as many endings as Chrono Trigger has. That is to say, Chrono Trigger has a lot of replay value, something most RPGs don't have.

  • thank you very much for the translation manaphyfan :)

  • No problem. I just get annoyed when I see the usual fool saying "ENGLISH ONLY PLZ" so that translation should shut them up. ;)

No hay de que. Me irrita cuando veo un idiota decir «ENGLISH ONLY PLZ» entonces la traducción los debería callar. ;)

  • @manaphyfan so true and thanks for saying so! It's replay value is RIDICULOUS!

  • @manaphyfan

Correction: Replay value is something most J"RPG"s don't have. Every real RPG has several options and variances on how your choices impact the story and ending.

  • @manaphyfan Ogre Battle is an RPG and is much longer and has as many endings. Both are utterly awesome games.

  • @manaphyfan but thats a fact, chrono is short but sweet, doesn't make it a bad game though, some people prefer shorter games anyway

  • @manaphyfan Chrono Trigger also never outstays it's welcome unlike other RPG's.

  • @manaphyfan I actually thought the game was on point. Wasn't too short, wasn't too long.

  • @manaphyfan If you ask me, Chrono Trigger has the perfect length. It's shorter compared to most RPG's yes, but it never drags on. It is a thrill ride from start to finish. I wish more games were like that.

  • @manaphyfan

You're absolutely right about that! And that's just one reason it's a game that has always stood out in my mind and always will.

  • @manaphyfan That's a very good point. But with that, I still haven't beaten the game, I think it's actually very long. But that's probably just me.

  • para mi no es corto para nada... es mas , es como dices tiene bastante valor rejugable y tiene un monton de "side quests" q no son de la trama prnicipal

  • GO GO SPAM X STRIKE!

  • lol. best theme ever. brings bk mermories ^^

  • Excellent! Well, I fell a little pissed due to the battle with Dragoon Tank, but this theme says me: You have to win!

  • The one track that was composed by some woman who wasn't Mitsuda or Uematsu, lol. Epic.

  • Was it Yoko Shimomura?

  • Noriko Matsueda

  • Dammit, meant to put that there is NO comparing. Chrono Trigger ftw.

  • You can 'beat' Chrono Trigger in 5 minutes if you defeat Lavos after the whole time machine incident and see the black portal there.

  • Only RPG I know of where it's possible to beat it in 45 minutes (if you take the super-shortcut).

  • I hate how people keep saying that this is a short game...This game was long. I don't understand how people can say it's short. I've played lots of other RPGS, and this one felt longer than the others...

  • FF6 and Secret of Mana were quite longer than this game.

  • Yeah, FF6 was actually pretty crazy long, especially if you tried doing all the sidequests.

  • Awesomeness!

  • classic.

  • i like this one better.

  • i liked the second boss battle way more!

  • Hehe i love this game but only one thing i hate about it is that its to short 5-10 hours

  • 5 to 10 hours? Did you like.... skip all of the side quests or something? I got in about 35 or so after completing the game fully.

But yeah, I see what you mean, without the sidequests the game ends up being rather short. About 25 hours or so for me if I go to the Black Omen and defeat Lavos afterwards.

  • Best SNES game.

  • Oh man this brings back the memories

  • In a way, it kind of does... Almost.

  • its the other way around :D

  • Yeah I know xD

  • i actually agree with you.. it has that melody from the boss theme from ffvii

  • my ringtonnnne lol

  • Can I call you back? I'm just doing battle with one of those Lavos Spawn......

  • im on the part when u fight the micanical dragon with lucca and chrono =P

  • Ok, its pretty easy, make sure you read the paper before going on the bridge it gives you instruction how to kill

  • love this boss music!!!

  • Yes Indeed!

  • One of my favourite boss music of all time

  • I can't wait for the DS remake to hear it again =D

  • im playing this right now..but i cant catch that FUCKING rat in the sewers its such a bitch

  • @imraw17 time your turns right and keep on pressing the run button. at some straight parts before the end you can catch him.

  • @Quyen11 lol right on but that was sooooo long ago hahahah

  • sweet, i've been looking for this.

  • I always thought this music was blood boiling when fighting a boss!

  • HELL YES IT KICKS ASS I remember playing it since I was a kid

  • The only really hard boss in the game is the final Lavos fight. The side quests are cake at this point, because I have done like, 10 new game+'s and my characters are maxed.

  • Er you know if you want to experiment you could attack the body with ayla when she gets her bronze fist because if you are lucky you can "glitch" the lavos spawn hahaz. If ayla does a critical, she will hit 9999 and the shell disappears leave the head...but remember it can still attack strangely ._.(the so called glitch)

  • This song really gives the sense of danger and urgency in a boss battle.

    I like it. ^_^

  • I like this boss battle music, it's awesome!

  • Lvos Spawns were one the most hardest boss battles in this game. It was even harder when I try an bring Crono back to life on Death Peak coz I ddn't have luminare......

  • I think the one's on Death Peak were INCREDIBLY easy...

compared to the one you find on the Black Omen, that one has more HP, is stronger and is a lot more liable to attack you and kill you instantly. How you win easily is you DON'T use attacks like Luminare! You only attack... crap, I can't remember head or body but only one of them you attack! Attack the other and it retaliates. Hit one of them(the good one), and then it is rarely going to hit back. I used Magus' dark bomb repeatedly.

  • Uh uh! long time since I played this. My memory's a bit fuzzy. I just use luminare and that's that......

  • Now, a hard boss for sure...

Son of the Sun. The only thing really hard about him is the fact you are only allowed to hit one fireball at a time and considering graphics for the age, that winds up making it so you can't really watch for the fireball you want to hit. It's a battle of luck.

  • I remember that side quest. Used lucca and put a special armor on her that exchange fire damage for health. It a question of shooting the right flame and letting two of your friends die....LOL!!! But I argee with you.....

  • Oh yeah, I remember that. It's just that I rarely use Lucca. She isn't one of my better characters. My best strategies revolve around Crono MArle Frog Robo and Magus. Ayla and Lucca aren't my strong ones...

  • i had the red mail tabans vest and red vest so the fire damage was nil chrono never needed healing and i killed him without needing to heal with no deaths ;P

  • the head is the weak spot.

    NEVER EVER attack the body

  • Thanks! I had forgotten, kinda surprising considering how big a freak I am on the game.
