Hard to take Dershowitz seriously when he suggest a barrier on wheels. The ease in which to move something like that along with the terrain makes it problematic. Hard to take Dershowitz seriously when he suggest a barrier on wheels. The ease in which to move something like that along with the terrain makes it problematic. I watched all 14 and have now started to read the suggested readings by Chompsky. I am both pro-Palestenian and pro-Isreali both groups have beautiful people in their collective society. As an outsider I rarely see Palestinian intellectuals in these debate. If any one has some suggested material I would greatly appreciate it.

even if you're right, we have to deal with the current reality - there's a group of people who adopted a new identity (palestinian). they cosider themselves part of the arab ummah and act against israel.
the bottom line is that israel's responsibility as a sovereign state is to defend its citizens, regardless of their religion/national (both citizens and attackers religion/national).

And about the historic claim; would it be then justified if native americans suddenly begun to kill and terrorize US cities to get their historic land back. Not to mention that at the time jews lived in israel almost all the world populations were situated at different parts of the world than their current positions.

Also apparently, no one informed the Egyptians, who ruled the area at the time that the Kingdom of Israel supposedly existed, that it existed. It is quite odd that the only mention of Israel was in your mythical book. Btw, evidence of jews in the area does not suppose that they owned the area.

the arabs decided to attack the one-day-old israel in 1948. i say arabs, because there were no palestinians at the time. their predicament is a result of their actions over the last few decades. israel is controlling the west bank because when given the chance, the arabs cant seem to resist killing israeli's.
jordan is palestine - they have their own state already.

@desager1 "thats odd since it was created at the same time Israel was in 1948" - if a state called palestine was created in 1948, i'm sure we'd hear about it.. the reality is that the partition plan called for the creation of such a state, but the arabs chose to wage war on israel instead of declaring independence.
the un decision still stands, but the geopolitical conditions that existed at the time have changed. the arabs have created this new situation by attacking and alienating israel.
