Krav Maga is about the most effective attack. Yea there are a lot of groin kicks but that the most effective attack at a distance, but if you do it in a bar fight everyone is gonna make fun of you. Kick the knee cap instead. If you do it right and hard enough they won't be able to stand on it. Side kick the other knee cap and they can't stand at all.

This video does not reflect the realities of street fights. The example shows two combatants at immenent contact distance. That is too far away. FBI crime statistics show that a huge majority of violent encounters begin at contact distance. Using techniques that require the distance they are demonstrating is fantasy.
Just think about a scenario where you are likely to bump into someone like that, it would have to be crowded. Now where is all that space to retreat to going to come from.

Most of the time you have to answer that the scenario has been staged to make the technique work. Watch some videos of real attacks and apply the technique in those situations. If the technique can’t adapt, throw it out. Blauer's flinch response is much better.

@ossamos No man! Muay Thai is still the best. It gives you maximum control. You can get close with knees and elbows or control the distance with long kicks and jabs. Clinches can also give you control over the opponent. I could safely say that a kick of a Muay Thai practitioner is stronger than a kick from taekwando. Anything Taekwando can give will be beaten by a clinch and a knee to the face.

Simplification is key as well, that is, having 15 different ways to block an overhand right punch puts your mind, even sub conciously, in a stressful read and react situation. having a single 90% of the time good punch defense is great. and for the typical civilian, who will more than likely NEVER see street combat, distance and simplicity is awesome.

LOL.. the french actually really only lost their dominance in WW2.. up until then they were third only to Britain and America in military Prowess they were pretty amazing in WW1 as well. Before America was a country the French were number 2. Don't underestimate them they also have the French Foreign Legion who are considered one of the most elite units even in today's military hierarchy.
