  • Mat 22:28-30 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (including Moroni)

  • I believe in this things!

  • I know with all my heart that God intended families to be eternal. It's no mistake that at the end of the day, what matters most is family.

  • @AustenMaster Yes it may be a very hopeful and beautiful thought, but like the others said it is not true, Jesus himself said there will be no marriage after the resurrection of man. Read your Bible and put down the BOM The fact that man can ONLY enter what you call the celestial kingdom is by being sealed in the temple, is completely ridiculous, John 3:16 says for God so loved the WORLD he sent his only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in him, shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

  • Matt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Therefore there is no marriage in Heaven.

  • i am Christian, but i must disagree on marriage after this life. there is no purpose for marriage after life, but i understand the God mormons believe in says other wise. the gift of sex and procreation is a very important part of this earthly life, Jesus clearly taught that neither of these will play a role in the afterlife. there is no need to procreate in heaven. Mark 12:25

  • haha, the end needs to be updated: If you want to talk to a Mormon, visit mormon.org

  • "...There is something eternal in the statement: ' That neither is the man without the woman; nor the woman without the man, in the Lord.' " amen.

  • @ERHartzler Have you been yet?

  • @Dalessiokiller i haven't been to a temple yet, i don't live very close to one. It will be so special though, i'm looking forward to it and someday being sealed in one. :)

  • Temple marriage sucks ass

  • MATTHEW :22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Read the story about the 7 brothers and 1 wife.

  • @A1Goku amen! you know Jesus is making a point when its repeated. Mark 12:55

  • (Continuation) ... Steven Spielberg, Sigmund Freud, Albert Einstein, Baruch Spinoza, Gustav Mahler, Karl Marx, Theodor Herzl, Moses Mendelssohn, Paul Ehrlich, Franz Kafka, or Leon Trotsky not to be white, Jesus was by all accounts white, just as Abraham, David, Moses, and Mary were.

  • @ShiningNow That is ridiculous! And, more importantly, why would you try to skew such evidence to mean that Jesus and the other Jews of the Biblical era were "white"?? Just bc the Jewish community has remained relatively isolated & kept their line strong (through marriage traditions), why would that = white? How odd, that they would be "white" &the ONLY middle eastern population to, somehow, have the appearance of Europeans...much less, central/northern Europeans. Quite funny. Oh, and RACIST.

  • @knowtheonetruegospel That sounds like the twisted logic and twisting of scientific data that Hitlet might like....or hate! haha. Jesus was white. Riiight.

  • @knowtheonetruegospel Believe what you want. I'm not trying to convince you of anything. But please, don't accuse me of skewing evidence or twisting scientific data because I haven't. The study I mentioned can be freely accessed by going to PubMedCentral.gov and typing "18733" in the search box. I'm also not sure how saying that a white person is white is racist or relates to Adolf Hitler. I'm not stating that Jews are or are not white; but rather that if you think they are, then Jesus was too.

The same study found that the Y chromosome of some Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews contained mutations that are uncommon in the general European population, adding that "Diaspora Jews from Europe, Northwest Africa, and the Near East resemble each other more closely than they resemble their non-Jewish neighbors." Therefore, unless you consider people like... (Continued)

  • @knowtheonetruegospel Instead of laughing cynically and accusing me of "completely making things up", you may as well try not to be rude and take into consideration the possibility that you may be wrong. The key point here, which you address quite lightly (and understandably so, since it's often ignored by non-Jews), is that the European Jews (i.e. Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jews) you refer to were as white now as they were in the times of Jesus. For instance, one study by the... (Continued)

  • Mormon temple's Easter pageant is a must-see

  • Evidence versus proof

    By Michael R. Ash

  • They are picking on those whose pain does not bother them and who are too charitable to respond with rage. On top of it all, they will mock things fellow citizens hold dear and expect the mocked to have a laugh or be labeled humorless. . .

  • Mocking Mormonism on Broadway is rudeness that will cost the writers little or nothing. Mormons are not a dominant force, I am guessing, on the Great White Way and though the authors may not get invited to the next Mormon dish-to-pass, they will not miss the Jello.

  • Joseph Smith has taken the story of Jesus (a long "wooly"-haired middle eastern man---brown skin, with kinky hair), who declared that there is NO marriage in heaven, who turned water into wine, etc. into a religion that changes him to WHITE (lds paintings of Jesus depict him as European), absinance from alcohol and so-called "eternal marriage."

    what???

  • @knowtheonetruegospel "who declared that there is NO marriage in heaven"

Mormon Christians agree, there is NO marriage in heaven. Marriage must be performed on this earth. Mormon Christians also know that "neither is the man without the woman and the woman without the man, in the Lord".

I suggest you learn the ONE true and living Church.

  • @knowtheonetruegospel Excuse me, I'm neither pro-Mormon nor anti-Mormon, as a matter of fact I'm not even a Christian, but Jesus was white, and this has been repeatedly proven to be true by both believers and non-believers throughout history.

  • @ShiningNow Ha! Now you're just completely making things up..."this has been repeatedly proven to be true by both believers and non-believers throughout history." LOL! Jesus was a Jewish man in what is now Israel, over 2000 years ago. The Bible described his hair as being curly like a sheep's wool. He must be the only "white" middle eastern then, right? Because there the only whites are modern Israelies who have returned to their homeland from centuries of European exile & are mixed w/Euro.

  • I agree with "loveYehoshua" on this point. JESUS himself said,

" 29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Jesus also turned water into wine. He later gave wine and instructed to drink it in remembrance of Him.

Don't you find it odd that Joseph Smith has changed the story about Jesus in such fundamental ways??

  • please take your eyes off of your flesh and look to the spiritual. Read Matthew 22:29,30. There is no marriage in heaven. We will be "married" to Christ. We are to be HIS bride. Stop clinging to the things of the flesh!!!

  • I love the temples. I love what this church can give to you, the blees of live all your eternity no only with our Father, our Lord, and the Holy Ghost, but you also can live with your Wife, your children. No Church can give this to your members, and I know hpw this should be change the lifes of so much peple, because this I'll go to a mission, lead happy, and love, and true for the heart of people who want this, but don't know how find this. This is my pray, This is what my Lord want.

I respected her commitment to the religion she had chosen and had been an observer of the positive influence this church had been having on both my children...

  • great teaching

  • "I worried that my belief wouldn't be strong enough. I began to read, study, ponder and pray about the Book of Mormon. I gained a testimony that it was true, and as that testimony grew, I knew that God lived and could hear and answer my prayers. I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Savior," Elder Carlson said.

  • Sorry but man did invent the so called eternal marriage. Smith took marriage in heaven and the three degress of glory from Emanuel Swedenborg.

  • @bbbkahinharmony good job parroting ANTImormon propaganda. Learn to research for yourself.

  • @bbbkahinharmony Agreed. When I first heard of Swedenborg's main principles, I was shocked at how similar it sounded to mormon theology.

  • "I think a guide that will give you what you need in handling the motivation of missionaries on preparation day is to tell them this: 'Do nothing on preparation day that would rob you of your spirituality.' If you keep that in mind, every elder and every sister will be able to make his or her own decisions. I might point out that we have no preparation evening. Preparation day comes to a close at 5 o'clock. Every evening should be a proselyting evening."

  • . "There are other things missionaries might do on preparation day that could destroy and damage the Spirit. We need to be very careful about what activities are allowed on that day.

  • "It's a shame to teach a young man Portuguese, let's say, and have him wait week after week after week for that visa and then finally get down to Brazil and then get in a game of touch football, break a leg, then have to go home and lose all the Portuguese training, all of that motivation — all for a game of football," President Monson said

  • I want to marry in the temple with the man i love....it will be my big dream come true.

  • they love their family's more than they love Jesus

  • @Wbeliever7 Rather than that, family is the sacred altar to love and worship Jesus.

  • @Benishe Well said

  • The human is nothing in heaven. Jesus illustrated perfection with his teaching, healings, precepts and was rejected by many followers and churchianity. Look to the real scriptures which give us a small example of the revolutionary ideas of the Master and contrast with what Mormons and their ilk say. Big difference which Mormons want to obscure. Choose the Mind that was in Christ, love universally, be the reflection of Truth you were made to be and you will grow to be a real person.

  • Students at BYU–Hawaii then performed a dance composed for Prince Tungi and students from Kahuku High School followed performing a dance about youth in love. "The dances brought the Tongan spirit and the Tongan culture," said Lavaki.

  • I have the hope of one day to be with my children for ever

  • , "In heaven, they neither are married or given into marriage but are as the angels in heaven." Matt. 12:25. Mormons are lying about eternal marriage.

  • @bmiller4930 I don't understand how Mormons can argue with that because they don't believe the angels are married or procreating eternally do they? Because in Mormonism to become an angel, you must have not been exalted.

  • lol

  • He said a group of Mormons visited him a few years ago, but this was his first time in Salt Lake, outside of a few brief airport layovers.

Foxman said that during his visit he saw in detail the emphasis the church puts on humanitarian service, genealogy and strengthening families.

  • Later, a velvet-draped perch for a television camera was added. It was soon after moved under the floor of the Tabernacle, capturing images of the speakers using mirrors positioned like a periscope through an 18-inch hole in the floor.

  • The advent of broadcasting general conference meant physical changes in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. A growing collection of artifacts in the Church History Library chronicles the addition of microphones and the construction of a glass-enclosed control booth on the building's south side in 1938.

  • That modern broadcasting would carry the sound of that trump was Donigan's obvious conclusion.

  • Brainwashed.

  • How much of Mormon's sources are preserved in his outline and text? Although based on indirect evidence, we can make some tentative suggestions of what features came from the source plates and which are Mormon's own contributions. Mormon tells us that his main source is the "plates of Nephi."

  • The most obvious feature of the Book of Mormon is the text's division into books carrying a man's name. It is those book names themselves that tell us that they were original to the plates and were not the result of Mormon's editing.

  • The first response is that the word "horse" in the English Book of

Mormon may not refer to the animal, Equus Caballus. A universal

practice of explorers and settlers has been to give familiar names to

    unfamiliar animals and plants

  • @omiolo This was likely to have been done by

the Nephites and could explain how the word made its way into our

modern Book of Mormon. Similarly, Joseph Smith could have translated a

Nephite word as "horse" when he encountered in the text an animal

having a similar form or function to the horse.

  • Latter-day Saints have responded to this many

times, and the FAIR Topical Guide has a number of articles that

address this specific criticism. In his recent paper, Ash lays out the

two primary responses to this attack and gives some impressive

    supporting evidence

  • A certificate of appreciation was presented to the Church from the Mpumalanga Department of Education in recognition of the outstanding partnership and support in school development and for bringing hope and relief. • We're afraid of what we don't know about the after life so we came up with a system founded in the rituals of the masonic tradition and coupled to a familiar marriage ceremony to quell those fears by generating something called eternal marriage and sealing our families together. Not to mention the endowment to get you in to heaven.

Joe came up with an answer for almost every problem - brilliant.

  • Galatians 1;8

  • Because only three members of the four-member team can compete in the finals, the team had a mock meet to select the finals team. Mrs. Gandy said one of the team members who consistently does very well with higher-difficulty, and thus higher-scoring passes, struggled in the mock meet. Her results would have eliminated her from the finals competition.

  • When we are confronted with affliction, He said: Be patient in afflictions, revile not against those that revile. Govern your house in meekness, and be steadfast

  • When others are unkind, Jesus taught that my kindness shall not depart from thee

  • Ask your fathers—they know! Do not drift to the ways of the world. Rather, maintain the dignity and the Spirit you enjoyed on your mission. The Church will need your leadership in the future.

  • The most important decision you will make in this life is the decision to marry the right girl in the temple! While no one should rush this significant decision, all returned missionaries should be working on it. Be where you can meet the right kind of friends. And go on dates. Hanging out is not the way, nor is it enough! Courting seems to be a lost art. Rediscover it. It really works!

  • all who trust exclusively in Jesus the Messiah will spend eternity in heaven, with Him. There is however, no marriage between men and women in heaven. This coupled by the fact that never has there been any evidence discovered that even suggests that Christ taught eternal marriage, or that Christians must worship and do vicarious works in temples, proves that the LDS doctrine of eternal marriage is false. I look forward to the marriage of the lamb to His bride the believers in Him.

  • that is why we do marriage HERE on this earth!

  • Jesus was not merely stating that weddings do not take place in heaven, He was explicitly telling us that the state of matrimony between man and woman no longer exists in heaven, but we are as the angels, i.e. genderless and celibate. There will be no need for marriage between man and woman, because all of the church will be united as the bride of Christ, and we will be in His presence and His glory forever. It's all about Jesus.....

  • not only NOT in heaven but NOT after the final resurrection either.

    Matthew 22:30

"For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven"

  • @omiolo Mormons don't believe the angels are married or procreating eternally do they? Because in Mormonism to become an angel, you were not exalted. Therefore, if we are to become "as the angels of God in heaven," would we be getting married or be married at all?

  • @php12345 Mormons believe that marriage is an EARTHLY ordinance. There is NO marrying in heaven!

  • @omiolo Jesus wasn't addressing that issue though. The story was setup up that 7 men married the one woman. Who's husband would be her's? Jesus could have said, the 1st, because the other marriages were earthly. He could have said all of them (polyandry). But, no he said none of them would be married.

  • @php12345 "he said none of them would be married."

maybe you should QUOTE it so that you can STOP rewriting the scriptures....

  • @omiolo Sorry I was trying to make it more understandable because you didn't accept it the way Jesus said it.

  • @php12345 I accept it the way Jesus said it, it is YOU that wants it to say something else.

  • @omiolo No you! Lol. Can you help me understand your correct thinking then? Does the key to your argument lie in the words "For in the resurrection?"

  • @php12345 you don't think what the words actually say are important?

  • Matthew, 22: 24-34 (Jesus speaking a direct quote marriage and about life after death),, doesnt agree with Jesus, then where will the mormons end up, not with Jesus if they dont agree with Him her on earth,,, right,,

  • "The result will be that our members and missionaries will be more effective in proclaiming the restored gospel as they gain insights from the cross-references to all four standard works and from the other study aids in this new edition."

Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve developed a love for the Spanish language as a young man while serving a full-time mission in Uruguay. The apostle was an essential participant in the Spanish Bible project.

  • Over the years, some cornerstone box contents have become typical inclusions — the latest version of the LDS scriptures, a book written by or a biography of the current church president, a selection of publications and pamphlets, samples of materials used in the temple construction, a history of the region and the LDS Church in the area, a history of the temple's construction and a copy of the temple's dedicatory prayer.

  • And Chris McAfee, a senior conservator in that department, offers a common response: "It's up to you."

"The contents should reflect what the people in that area think are important," he said.

  • People assigned to fill temple cornerstone boxes and church-related time capsules often call the Church History Department with a common inquiry: "What goes in?"

  • The cornerstone box is placed and secured the day before the dedication, without fanfare and without set plans or intent to ever open it.

"There isn't any particular religious symbolism in the items and the artifacts that go into it other than to continue the tradition of documenting the construction of the temple and the current trends of the church," Coburn said.

  • "It's a hearkening back to the tradition of the fathers to recognize and render tribute to the Lord Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of our faith," said Thomas E. Coburn, managing director of the LDS Church's Temple Department.

The modern cornerstone ceremony also commemorates the conclusion of the temple's construction. Today, President Monson will be joined by invited leaders and guests in placing mortar around the "coverstone" — an outer facing cut from the southeast cornerstone.

  • Before today's era of concrete and steel, large cornerstones were used at the key junction points of foundation walls, the final one called the chief cornerstone.

    Story continues below

Cornerstones were placed with celebration in the construction of ancient buildings as well as temples in the early days of the LDS Church. The church has long used the Apostle Paul's New Testament analogy of Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone of the true church and apostles and prophets as the foundation.

  • Shortly after the start of today's 9 a.m. dedication, President Monson will leave the members-only session inside and go outside to the southeast corner to conduct a symbolic cornerstone ceremony — the only part of any dedication session witnessed by the public.

  • The cornerstone will be the primary public focal point of today's opening temple-dedication session, the first of nine this weekend to be directed by President Thomas S. Monson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

  • Today, everything in Bailey's box has been sealed in a similar-sized stainless-steel box and placed out of sight, with no timetable to be opened.

The collection is now stored in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple's "cornerstone box" — a time capsule — with its interior dimensions mimicked by Bailey's box so she knew exactly how much space to fill.

  • SOUTH JORDAN — For the past year, Amy Bailey helped collect information and artifacts regarding the new Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple. For months, she carefully ensured the collection would all fit into a makeshift cardboard box measuring precisely 24 inches by 26 inches by 8 inches.

2:32 - earthly relationships cannot outshine the glory of God; heaven is heaven whether your wife and kids are there or not and no earthly creature's absence could diminish the glory and perfect happiness of being in the presence of God

  • Mormon temples dot the earth.

They are one of many indications that the Lord's work continues to progress throughout the world unimpeded by earthly hands.

Fools mock, but they shall mourn.

The sacred ordinances performed there bring peace and joy to those on both sides of the veil.

The Holy Spirit bears witness of these truths.

Go to God directly to gain the spiritual witness for yourself.

  • MacDonalds hamburgers continue to dot the land all around the world and even in places where the cult of Mormonism is not allowed. Is MacDonalds God's other corporation?

  • I went directly to God and DID gain that spiritual witness--to get the hell as far away as possible from that Satanic cult!

Life is simply marvelous now--compared to the 50 years of spiritual abuse I spent in that cult.

  • I agree! It's EASIER to buy the LD$ cult BS than to reject it. Forever families? Our loved ones that have passed on can accept salvation on the other side? Salvation through works? Those are all things that comfort and make sense to man, but they are NOT God's ways.

Plus, that whole "let God make you feel all warm and cozy inside as your proof" nonsense is just silly. The heart is deceitful above all things... we can convince ourselves of ANYTHING if we want it to be true...

  • Islamic temples dot the earth. Jewish synagogues dot the earth. Catholic cathedrals dot the earth. Christian churches dot the earth.

You realize how lame your argument is, right?

Actually- for me it was the HS that warned me and made me ill until I got rid of the BoM and asked the mishies to stop coming to my house. The HS has confirmed to me that Smith was a liar and a fraud. He also assured me that He will NEVER contradict His original revelation, the Bible.

  • We don't need ANY of this voodoo, hokus-pokus to hook us all together for eternity. That was all done for us by God--we are all connected and always have been connected with everything God has created. LDS temple VOODOO doesn't change any of that.

  • RIGHT!!

So, if I wanted to kill all blacks (in 1852)

all I would have to do, to do it LEGALLY is to form a church around that first principle--to kill blacks, because they were out of the loins of cain and didn't deserve to live among God's chosen--the WHITE folks.

    How simplistic, lxswrz...

  • Also, lxswrx:

Where is it written ANYWHERE that it is the DUTY of God's followers to deliberately disobey a "law" of the land because of someone's "OPINION" that it was in "direct conflict with the Constitution"?? The Constitution ITSELF has a remedy for those "opinions". It is called a "Constitutional Amendment". A LEGAL process--- if you don't like a law, CHANGE it!!! But to blatently disobey a law is never a good option.

Under your theory LDS could REinstitute PM RIGHT NOW. Why not?

  • Let me attempt an answer to that.

Because, as dimwitted as these LDS leaders are today, EVEN THEY can see that it was a MONUMENTALLY STUPID idea, even for retards of the 1830's.

Amazingly, even Jacob 2:24 (BOM) says as much.

  • "We still consider plural marriage to be a true doctrine...".

Not according to the late, great Gordon Hinkley--Prophet of God on earth (til last year, that is).

  • Do you mean remove that scripture because we don't like it--as in how the LDS removed "white" and delightsome from the Book 0f Mormon and replaced it with "pure" and delightsome?

So, it's OK to change or leave out parts of scripture and can be done according to the whim of fallible human beings? Is that not the complaint the LDS have with the bible--that it underwent changes made by men? But. It's okey-dokey if Mormons do the changing. (??) Hummmm...

  • There is something Eternal in the statement

Neither is the man without the women

nor the women without the man in the Lord."

  • Explain why section 132 is still contained in LDS scriptures if it does not represent doctrine. And second, the assertion that LDS don't practice polygamy today because it is illegal contradicts the fact that it was illegal to practice plural marriage when Joseph Smith introduced the teaching, and was the reason why Utah was denied statehood until 1896.

  • It is not the voodoo chantings and magical convocations in the temple rituals that bind people together. It is L-O-V-E. Love doesn't need ritualistic heebeegeebies to keep the binds secure.

If there are any magic incantations, they blossom out of love. If there is no love, there there is no contract.

  • "Love doesn't need ritualistic heebeegeebies to keep the binds secure."

I agree, Needed are worship hearts of loving obedience to God for each other, but what about the temple masonry & Moroni movement of Monson regards to all of this?

  • The only men who become Gods, even the Sons of God, are those who enter into polygamy (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 11, p. 269, August 19, 1866)

  • You LDS: Your LDS historians generally agree that Joseph Smith had at least ten wives that were simultaneously married to living husbands. If Joseph Smith wanted your wife, would you give him to her?

  • Yes, because back then they differentiated between civil and religious marriage also

  • Let me put it simply to all you Mormons who believe your Temple Marriage will last for eternity. Jesus Christ Himself said, in the book of John (John 12:18-24ish), that Marriage won't last after the ressurection. It's cut and dried, black and white... "They will neither marry, nor be given in marriage." You can't argue with Christ. Thank you.

  • Jesus Christ IS the uncreated Creator of all creation - no less. Let all that has breath give to Him the glory dues His Name. As He is a Jew it is reasonable to believe that His skin color is not that of a caucasian.

  • Google this "Temple Worthiness and the Bible" at Mormonism Research Ministry. Luke 18:11-14 The publican & the sinner in the temple. Love LDS, abhor their theology of twistology, fiction & fabrication, secrecy & manipulation, culture & corporation. The burning in the bosom even Muslims reading the Quran experience. Their men, too, believe that they will have multiple wives. Cease bashing the Bible. Know that God is displeased. Strike out plural marriage from D&C. Wake up! We love you!

  • For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage Matthew 22:30

There is no marriage in heaven according to Jesus. Mormons you are not going to have your god husband/goddess wife on your own planet having spiritual children for the people of earth. According to God Almighty: saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. Isaiah 43:10.

  • man I need to get married

  • CULT! Where are you green aprons? Robes, Booties, sash? I hope you enjoyed your secret mormon handshake for Heaven over the alter. I did not!

  • Cult is a harsh word. we are just simply sharing a message from the lord and if people want to beleive it, so be it. And its not secret handshakes. there are no such thing as those.

  • WHY Lie??

There are FOUR hands *clasps* that you learn int he LDS temple! I attended for years.

  • shurly you beleive in God right? why did you make a promise with him not to reveil these things huh?

  • You're in a cult. God does not care about handshakes, and new names, certain underwear, and strange rituals you do in the "temples"

  • so i take it you fell away from the church right?

  • I found out to much vital information about mormon history, and racist, hateful statements from so called prophets?? Also Smith's and others bigamy. The belief of polygamy in Heaven is NOT for me. But have at it. Its a false, man made church. Thats all.

  • Why don't you comment something when you have valid proof instead of embarrassing yourself?

  • All these things I stated are 100 percent truths. Come on now, with the internet, the Gig is up. Its strange to say the least. I found it cold and hipnotic. MANY Do, but are afraid to speak up. I found NO loving God there... Tell the truth.

  • Mormans need to be saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. They believe a lie.

  • What are you talking about? I'm not Mormon, but they are Christians.

  • They are not Christians. They believe that Jesus and Lucifer(Satan) were brothers, that God has a multitude of wives, that the first man and woman came from Missouri, that blacks were cursed with dark skin and a whole lot more in the Book of Mormon. The bible has warned of false prophets. Only the true scriptures holds truth.

  • They believe Jesus is the son of God, and that he died for us. They use the Bible, in addition to the Book of Mormon. The only difference that really separates the two faiths I can find is that they believe Joseph Smith is the last prophet, while most Christians believe it is Christ.

  • It doesn't matter if they believe in Jesus, if it is a false Jesus they believe in! The bible is incompatible with the book of Mormon.

  • Yes, we belive Jesus is our brother, God is our Father and the Holy Ghost is our eternal companion who watches over us (The three members of the God Head). Yes, Lucifer was our brother, but he fell away! Im not Racist but it says in The Old Testament that Cain's seed was cursed with darckness of skin, but our church has given them the right to hold the Holy Power of God...the Priesthood!

  • And that is why mormons are not christians but a separate religion altogether.

  • True, SarahLe1. Ask the average temple Mormon/BYU/FARMS/FAIR whether Christ is the uncreated Creator of all creation. My Jesus of the Holy Bible - not of man made add-ons such as BOM, D&C, Pearl is more glorious - His honor, goodness, power more beautifully transcendent, His personality, emotionality, intentionality, eternality, supernality superscending in splendor that of Mormon Jesus. I make my boast in the Jesus of the Bible. In Him alone, not in a church; not even in His church do I boast.

  • huh? yeah we are saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. haha why do you say that is a lie?

  • One day ,One day I will have my will be sealed to me I love this gospel so much I pray that we can do it soon

  • Yes! Family for all eternity! Death will never do a man and a woman apart. Its forever!

  • Who is the Catholic (I'm assuming he's a Catholic priest) that is being interviewed?

Seems like a right kind fellow.

  • no, he is not a Catholic priest.

  • Gay people have been treated bad throughout history. They are still attacked verbally, psychologically and physically and sometimes brutally killed for being gay. It's a very tough life when people have to look over their shoulder in fear for their safety. They also have to worry about the risk of losing relationships with family & friends, their jobs, etc. Why in the world would anyone choose to face that kind of risk and live such a tough life?

Can you name one benefit of choosing to be gay?

  • I really try to avoid getting into debates on youtube because no one wins, but I think i can name one percieved benefit of homosexuality:

Temporary sexual gratification. It may sound like a small thing; but think of all the lives, families, jobs, childhoods, even nations that have suffered and been destroyed for this one impulse.

I'm not only speaking of homosexuality; people always have and and always will risk destruction and pain for just that fleeting euphoria.

  • Thank you for putting into words the way I have always felt about this topic. Well said.

  • Spoken like a true cult puppet, 032125!!

I don't disagree that many of humanities problems have arisen from uncontrolled sex. But the problems that may be linked to that "impulse" are for the most part the doings of HETEROSEXUAL impulses. It's estimated that Homosexuals account for about 10% of the population, therefore, only 10% of the worlds problems can be laid at their feet. Nez pa?

  • Im pretty sure you dont "choose" your sexual orientation. You are what you are, and its up to the rest of the world to grow up and not single people out for abuse because a man on a pulpit told them to.

  • I agree with Brother Holland it would be so sad not to be able to be with the people we love.I am grateful for the sealing powers in the Temple that grant us the gift of eternal life with one another.Great video!!

  • awe I love when the Apostle says that heaven wouldn't be heaven without his wife. Awe I hope my eternal companion will feel the same way about me.

  • Me too!

  • Why do women need a man to pull them through the veil to get to heaven?

What about the fact that a woman's eternal job is to bear children for her "god" husband?

I would really like to know, not being hateful.

  • What I suggest to you is that you learn the basic fundementals of our faith before you jump in deep like that. The Gospel has to be taken in bit by bit because the doctrine is so rich. You couldn't consume a whole cheese cake would you? no you would eat bit after bit. So it is with our doctrine. Learn the basics first. Milk before meat.

  • I do know basic fundamentals. Seriously, I understand many things about the church. But when studying the temple and the afterlife I am torn.

Honestly, I am in love with a mormon boy. I need to understand.

  • If you really want to understand, itsallabout, may I suggest you visit RFM chat where you can get the views REAL people--people with REAL lives who have experiences similar to yours. These "clones of the most high" here are about as shallow as JosephsMYTH's stories designed to attract 30 + wives for himself. What a man, eh?

  • True. It's like eating bat shit. If you eat it a little at a time you won't get TOO sick.

  • The joy bearing children is to me, and to my husband (my equal partner)is indescribable. If you believe in eternal families and relationships, then nothing we do in this life holds as much value or importance as raising families and nurturing those very relationships.

The Lord loves all of His children equally - though we are given different roles that compliment and build the other. We both are working towards exaltation - side by side.

  • IF it's such a great concept why is it that the divorce rate for LDS is on par with the rest of the "great and spacious"

world--50%+ and rising. Kinda makes ya wanna go, "hummmmmm..."
