I know someone who has this and it started slamfiring extremely quick. This Is a great out of the box gun, but only for like a week! If you want to have a good M24 cheap, buy a snow wolf m24 and upgrade some parts. It's less than this and looks pretty good.

@MrHomophobe111 High FPS + Crap internals = broken gun. Lower (not LOW... lowER) fps + better internals = more range. FPS definetly contributes to range, but not nearly as much as the inner barrel / hopup. Anybody with decent intelligence about airsoft will back this up, though it is the common idea between beginners that good fps = good gun. Echo1 throws the ugly fluted barrel and extra mag so you don't look at the part that matters: the internals.
@MrHomophobe111 No, internally the M28 sucks. The M24 doesn't have to be extensively upgraded, it already has solid internals, and the M28 doesn't. And saying FPS MATTERS IS idiotic! All tokyo marui's shooting under 300fps because its the law in Japan. The $300 Marui MK96 (sniper) shoots over 200ft, and its fps is a little under 300. Why? Because it has has an amazing hopup/ inner barrel. FPS does help, but it shouldn't be a deciding factor for a gun, especially with crap internals.
@MrHomophobe111 You mean compensate? And no, the M24 has way better internals stock. The M28 doesn't ONLY have a plastic triggerbox,it has other plastic parts. You don't NEED all of those externals. I don't need a bipod, I lean my VSR10 up against/on top of random objects. I don't need an extra mag, it takes one shot to kill, and if I run out, 5 presses with my speed loader and my mag is filled. $30 will get you shooting the same FPS as the M28 but with reliable and better internals.

I don't need a bipod for stability or an extra mag its called stability + speed loader

@TacticalPickle Echo1 just out did themselves with the externals, bipod, 2 mags etc. It definitely appeals to the beginners and its a great starting package, but people spend over $500 buying polarstar/laylax internals upgrading VSR10s/APS2 and those guys need a more solid internal gun to start off with. If you use the M28 with your friends/ occasionally it'll be a great gun. Thats why people get it, they see the high fps, bipod. mags, so they think they wont have to buy anything else later on

i bought one of these and on the first day one of my mags broke and after 1 week the bolt broke. its a ok sniper but i wihs i bought a kwa insted of this sniper and a combat machine m4.
@snipingace34 I had the same problem with my gun one shot, this is known as slam firing and occurs when the trigger is being pulled before the bolt has completed it's cycle. so either something is causing your trigger to be stuck in the pulled position or your internals are messed up. just letting you know slam firing damages a gun. hope this helped.

I have a problem with my gun. I pull the bolt back and when i push it to the front, it just shoots out. I really need help. Please answer(It will be greatly apreciated).
@snipingace34 in a bb gun there is usully a rubber bit in breach which is used to hold the bb in place, if has done this since you have got it then send it back, however if it has done i since you have had it e.g you may have done it.... then i would rocomend taking appart and trying to fix it, if you type in youtube------how a paintball gun works------ you will see the little rubber bit holding it in.... its just to let you know what it may look like (i know you have a bb gun) jst for reference
If someone who knows the answer to this question could please respond, I was wondering if the upgrade kit for the Echo1 Advanced Sniper Rifle would work with this gun, since reading from the comments it sounds like there are problems with this gun slam firing and i was wondering if using the metal piston, spring guide, etc. in the kit would fix these problems.
@SHNERFINATOR I've been doing a ton of research on this gun and it seems that a lot of people have this problem. The reason is due to the fact that this gun has a very powerful spring and only a plastic piston. You can either downgrade your spring or wait until Echo 1 releases the metal piston, which should be shortly. However, do not waste your money on upgrading your sears. People have done that and they say that the problem will only occur again shortly. Hope this helped.

I don't think echo-1 has the right to say that this is the "ultimate" sniper rifle. That title obviously goes to the APS-2.
And to be honest I can't take this "tech" seriously when he says it comes with a "really cool" bipod and assumes it's great just because it fires at a ridiculously high velocity. Any experienced marksman would take a VSR-10 that fires consistent shots with a tight grouping at 100 feet than a loose cannon like this.
@upidsteman WELL guns suck. Really cheap quality. Just get a ECHO 1 M28, it is a high worthy gun for its price. I mean 500FPS+ for 175 dollars is an awesome price. It even comes with 2 mags and a bipod. Plus this sniper has a threaded barrel for snipers so that's a plus 100. No I'm not a ECHO 1 fan boy but I'm saying this is a really good gun for its price.

The Javelin is completely APS2 compatible, and sports a full-metal trigger housing (something that's hard to appreciate until your plastic one breaks.). For an additional $30 you can purchase the APS2/mk96/ASR upgrade kit by Echo 1/UTG and put your rifle at the same velocity as the Echo 1, but with full-metal internals. If you want a shitty Echo1, go for it.

@BrandonBearsVarsity1 Obviously it isn't going to break right out of the box, but the internals suck and they will break much sooner then the Javelin M24... and FPS doesn't mean shit. The Hop up and inner barrel control how far and accurate the gun will shoot. For this gun, its means it will put more stress on the already crappy internals. And if you want to put better APS2 parts in, they will constantly break the proprietary plastic parts. I don't care if you buy it, just sayin I told you so.
@xXColtsfan27Xx Honestly i don't think Echo1 would just build a gun if they knew that its just going to break quickly my Echo1 m4 has been upgraded to shoot over 420 fps, i use a 9.6 volt battery and its internals are practically all plastic and it hasn't failed me yet even after years of using it. The only thing better about the m24 is its internals it can't even shoot past 400 without extensive upgrades, its a much better idea to get a m28 and just buy a full metal trigger box.

So funny, all these Javelin Gun fans being trolls thinking its a rebrand. Its not. Javelin M24 uses MK96 internals, and this one uses upgradable VSR10 internals (From a review source) Plus, plain out, its better. And from a better-known company. And no im not bias, because i own zero Echo 1 Guns so far, but i hear a lot of good stuff about Echo 1

Ive been wanting to get a AirSoft sniper rifle for a long time and this looks like it might be the one i get.. But does anyone know the millimeter of the barrel? <6.08? and the Hop up. can i put a firefly in there if i want to? Im picky about hopup units.. lol It might not even need it.. Thanks guys

@SamEEboy711 Echo1 M28 sucks DICK, the critical parts are proprietary, and when they break, they break for good, no replacements available. The Javelin is completely APS2 compatible, and sports a full-metal trigger housing (something that's hard to appreciate until your plastic one breaks.). For an additional $30 you can purchase the APS2/mk96/ASR upgrade kit by Echo 1/UTG and put your rifle at the same velocity as the Echo 1, but with full-metal internals. If you want a shitty Echo1, go for it.

@BrandonBearsVarsity1 Obviously it isn't going to break right out of the box, but the internals suck and they will break much sooner then the Javelin M24... and FPS doesn't mean shit. The Hop up and inner barrel control how far and accurate the gun will shoot. For this gun, its means it will put more stress on the already crappy internals. And if you want to put better APS2 parts in, they will constantly break the proprietary plastic parts. I don't care if you buy it, just sayin I told you so.

@xXColtsfan27Xx Honestly i don't think Echo1 would just build a gun if they knew that its just going to break quickly my Echo1 m4 has been upgraded to shoot over 420 fps, i use a 9.6 volt battery and its internals are practically all plastic and it hasn't failed me yet even after years of using it. The only thing better about the m24 is its internals it can't even shoot past 400 without extensive upgrades, its a much better idea to get a m28 and just buy a full metal trigger box.

So funny, all these Javelin Gun fans being trolls thinking its a rebrand. Its not. Javelin M24 uses MK96 internals, and this one uses upgradable VSR10 internals (From a review source) Plus, plain out, its better. And from a better-known company. And no im not bias, because i own zero Echo 1 Guns so far, but i hear a lot of good stuff about Echo 1
