I actually trained Luke Warm, our last pig, to climb pillows to reach the couch. He was pretty amazing. I highly recommend them if you can find them! Unfortunately, they have a much shorter life span.
The Skinny Pig I visit regularly, at least every few weeks, has patched skin and white and gold fur on his face, and I adore him, we call him Puppy because of their floppy ears, haha :D Hes been at that place a while, hope I can get him!

Where can you adopt skinny pigs in the US? I think they're so cute and would love to have one of my own, but I haven't heard of a single pet store that sells them!
I bought my in Canada. But I know there are breeders in the US that sell them but you have to google them. They are a bit high maintenance compared to regular guinea pigs.

Aw! My guinea pig was mad at me for treating her after she got cut up badly from my other one walking on her (she was to young to have her nails cut) She's better now, so she's warming up again :D

Thanks for you comment. Everyone in our family handled him since he was a baby and so it was easy to interact with him. Just use a soothing voice and that worked for me. :)
My hamster gave birth (died 2 weeks later too :( ) So I fed her pups until they were weaned, and they loved me soo much! I hated to have to give one of them away... PS I think guinea pigs are a lot smarter than people are led to believe. I think it's an emotional intelligence that they have. They do talk to you and kiss you. And they are each so unique in personality, not just physically.
I think their seeming willingness to go along with just about anything endears us to them. Maybe because they are little and dependent and vulnerable - they sort of numb out and let us do willy nilly with them. Because they're so passive it's easy & natural for us to project onto them. This naturally makes them even more loveable because to be human is to be narcissistic to some degree.
I had a g-pig that would give me kisses on my cheek, but she died and her daughter acted just like her and would also give kisses on my cheek.Sadly she passed away too,they lived only 5 years.

Buth they are worth it!
There are no pet store's here either who sells them, need to find special breeders on selling sites or google them.
I am gonna sell them 2 in the future ive everything is gonna work fine!

PS I think guinea pigs are a lot smarter than people are led to believe. I think it's an emotional intelligence that they have. They do talk to you and kiss you. And they are each so unique in personality, not just physically.

Besides all that they are so funny and endearing in their helplessness. They make you either laugh, or want to protect them.

I think their seeming willingness to go along with just about anything endears us to them. Maybe because they are little and dependent and vulnerable - they sort of numb out and let us do willy nilly with them. Because they're so passive it's easy & natural for us to project onto them. This naturally makes them even more loveable because to be human is to be narcissistic to some degree.

He was 4yrs old when he passed away. They should be exempted from dying. :(*

He's a hairless one so they live less than guinea pigs with hair. He was 4years old. Hairy pigs can live longer. I miss him.

I had a g-pig that would give me kisses on my cheek, but she died and her daughter acted just like her and would also give kisses on my cheek.Sadly she passed away too,they lived only 5 years.
