I just finished reading the second book of firelight. Vanish. o.o and omg! i cannot wait for the 3rd one! the book is so amazing and has so much pasion. Firelight isn't close to twilight. Sure they both involve forbiden love, but the firelight series has more emotion and it makes me more exited then twilight did. The movie will probobly ruin the way the characters and setting looks in my head.

Firelight is the best book ever. Period. End of story. Twilight is good, but it is nothing compared to Firelight. It would be soo good in a movie. But the movies always get messed up with actors or actresses that can't play the part. Get a good actor and it's all good.

Umm, you freaking ignorant people need to get a grip, if I have anything to say it is by far not a rip off of "Teen Wolf" Firelight was published before Teen Wolf came out! So if anything Teen Wolf ripped of Firelight. And it is not ANYTHING like Twilight, Firelight it is a million times better! If they do decide to make a movie on the series that may be okay. I think the book sounds and is great and you can of course make it into a movie, my concern though is that the movie will ruin the books just as it did with twilight.

I read this quite some time ago and I thought it was really good... but I really hope it doesn't get as hyped up to the point where the author would write just for the publicity of it... I think firelight could become a really good series as long as it doesn't fudge up later on...

@filipamd Will if this book is anything like Vampire Knight I well deflintly what to read because who knows how long it well take them to get Vampire Knight to come out in the US! FireLight sounds like a good book but this can't be the next Twilight or the next Harry Potter because Harry Potter is about a boy who discovers he's a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School Of WitchCraft Of Wizardry and Twilight is about a girl named Bella Swan meets a guy who turns out he's a vampire. Im a Fan of Emma Stone being Jacinda. I've red the book and she would be a n intresting Jacinda but she probably comes the closest in looks but not age or voice. I would also like to see a new face.
They really need to make Hunger Games a movie. I think most people would prefer that over Firelight. Although it does sound slightly interesting, it's not enough to become a movie in my point of view. Oh, and to answer your question about who should play Juscinda, I would say the girl who played Victoria in Eclipse. The one in Twilight and New Moon was to rough but the one in Eclipse was softer. Those are my opinions.

Harry Potter wasn't seen as marketable, it just had a great story, well-defined characters, and was written beautifully. I was never a fantasy fan, and i haven't read a fantasy I enjoyed since Harry Potter. Twilight, on the other hand, has characters that are completely transparent. Its writing was amateur at best and there really is no plot. But it had two cute guys and a love story, so bam, 5 movies in the works.

I get the plot is different, but for me it was like i was readin' twilight all over again with all the highschool shit etc.. (btw it should have been set in the medieval times) Will is just another Edward, Cassin or w.e his name is another Jacob. Characters suck ass, the girl cant make up her mind AND ISSSSSS VERY SELFISH! x10 But i will say this, sophies writing is good.

Oh....my God. . first off, Twilight sucks. but so many ppl (teenage girls who have a terrible vampire problem) like it because of a hot vampire (who isn't even hot) and a guy who really needs to learn to keep his shirt on. anyway, Firelight is an awesome book so please, just stop comparing everything to it.

@filipamd Will if this book is anything like Vampire Knight I well deflintly what to read because who knows how long it well take them to get Vampire Knight to come out in the US! And love that Series! The best ever right? But Twilight is starting to get on my nerves. Everytime I re-read the books I find that I get more and more iterated with the characters. Gusss I'm going to have to stop re-reading the books which I haven't done that many times to beging with.

and I've gradually come to hate twilight even more. as I grow up I feel more and more ashamed that I was ever involved with it. but I'll not get into that.
but yeah, no need to get all crazy about the similarities with Vampire Knight, they don't seem that relevant anyways.

The only thing it has in common is with Twilight is that they're both fantasy books and there's a love plot between a human and a supernatural being. That doesn't mean it 's a rip off of Twilight. Especially because the Vampire Diaries was written WAY before Twilight and it has a lot of similarities to TVD. But are we going to say anyone who writes about the same thing is ripping off another? Are vampire books all a rip off of Dracula? Essentially yeah, because he was the original vampire.

FireLight sounds like a good book but this can't be the next Twilight or the next Harry Potter because Harry Potter is about a boy who discovers he's a wizard and goes to Hogwarts School Of WitchCraft Of Wizardry and Twilight is about a girl named Bella Swan meets a guy who turns out he's a vampire. This is not the next Twilight or Harry Potter this series about a girl who can shift into a dragon, this sounds like an old Disney Channel series American Dragon if you guys noticed

They really need to make Hunger Games a movie. I think most people would prefer that over Firelight. Although it does sound slightly interesting, it's not enough to become a movie in my point of view. Oh, and to answer your question about who should play Juscinda, I would say the girl who played Victoria in Eclipse. The one in Twilight and New Moon was to rough but the one in Eclipse was softer. Those are my opinions.

@standardrockerchick The Hunger Games are freaking AMAZING, so much better than any book I've read for a while. I've just finished Firelight and actually some parts of it reminded me of twilight... I think twilight has scarred me from reading most supernatural books but I do think Firelight would be good as a movie; only because it has absolutely NOTHING to do with vampires and werewolves. It's also well written but Seriously the hunger games would be an amazing movie if done well!:)

Harry Potter wasn't seen as marketable, it just had a great story, well-defined characters, and was written beautifully. I was never a fantasy fan, and i haven't read a fantasy I enjoyed since Harry Potter. Twilight, on the other hand, has characters that are completely transparent. Its writing was amateur at best and there really is no plot. But it had two cute guys and a love story, so bam, 5 movies in the works.

@GinBenj Not like Harry Potter.... And Twilight is not even THAT huge, there's just a big fuzz going on in the world of teenagers. Most fans of Twilight are girls, and in their teens as well. You must be able to see that right? I do not know a single boy that has read the Twilight saga but I know a lot of boys who have read the Harry Potter books. I see Twilight less popular in other countries than the US. In my opinion Twilight is not close to being huge, rather just a phase .... like puberty.

I don't know where you're from, but I've been living the last 7 years in Europe, and now the states, and I've seen a multitude of guys over the age of 18 who love Twilight (films and books). Maybe the men you know just aren't the kind of people who like such things.
