  • I talked to Satoshi Uesaka, one of the creators of the game. He stopped making games unfortunately :(

  • wow the intro music on this version was Moonlight Sonata (although a little bit sped up). i think that song went rather well as the intro to this, was this the only version that used Moonlight Sonata with this game ?

  • OMG I used to love this game for my Tandy 2600 lol! best shit ever! thanks for the great memories!

  • To all the people who asked me for how to get this game, I apologize for never answering. Let's just say I've been away on an extended trip for the last couple years, so I haven't been logging on. I got this game to run on my Toshiba laptop by doing Google searches for "Tandy 1000 emulator" (I had a Tandy 1000 when I was six years old... it was the SHIT). So that search basically led me where I needed to go to get the emulator and game and everything. Don't remember the particulars

  • @7dillon7jones7 i had one too..the deskmate OS was garbage! but at least it played my thexeder and Heros Quest games.

  • YOU FAIL!!! YOU MISSED ALL THE SECRETS!!!! LOL.... awseome game!!

  • Awesome. Only the true oldskool heads remember dark nights in the 80's on your tandy 1000 with 360 joystick with 1 fire button.

  • I've been playing this game, on and off, for 18 years and have still not beaten it.

  • I don't know what made my parents buy this game for me when it was released, but I'm sure glad they did. It provided countless hours of entertainment for me. I had a Tandy 1000EX. I was very limited at what I could play on there (I had about 6 other Sierra games in the "Quest" series.) Man those were the good ol' days.

  • Wow, I haven't seen this game played in about 21 years. I did finally get all the way though it though. Funny how much of the stuff I remembered while watching the video, like those pesky red balls at the end of the level, or that lone black-centered silver thing that comes down after you kill all of his/her buddies.

  • thexder neo is fun

  • It was cool to have multichannel music on the Tandy 1000EX, at least.

  • Are you running this in some sort of emulator? I loved running this game on my Tandy 1000 TX but when I run it today on my PC the graphics are dithered. I don't see any dithering here... so, please, I would love to know.

  • @Toadstool69

I believe the dithering is due to the game running under the native EGA resolution of 640x350 rather than the Tandy Graphics Adapter (which is an unsupported mode on modern PC's) and its 320x200 .

I hope this clears things up for you.

  • I used to have this on my Tandy 1000 (256K RAM ... no hard drive, 5.5 inch floppy... and I mean floppy disk, green monochrome monitor!)

Havent heard this music for like 2 decades!

Wish I had colour back then haha.

  • dude this game is better than a ton of games released within the last few years

  • wtf, i couldn't get very far in it. seems like the dos version i had was impossible to play.... i dunno if u had the same problem. it's been one of my life's greatest mysteries.

  • Ah the memories....used to play this game all the time! :D
