For who are worried a husky is going to hurt a cat. There is an equal chance of a parent dropping their kid to the ground. Animals may not be reasonable but they are still equal in care when it comes to being parental. In many ways animals are a lot better in this field over humans.

No. You may be surprised to know this, but cats had millions of years evolving in the wild. Meeting a scary animal is not going to 'traumatize' them. It's in their DNA to interact with other animals. And if these 2 animals are going to be living together, they NEED to be introduced to one another and learn about eachother.

Notice how at first the husky tries to slightly bite it in the neck to tell it its boss and the cat needs to calm down. He then realises this tiny thing wont stop attacking so he crouches to tell to calm down cause the cat won. Then the cat continues to attack cause he wants that dog for breakfast.

@skulljoint um they are play fighting, its normal for them. i think the dog was probably a female, because girl cats and dogs pick up their kittens/pups by their neck, where there is extra skin for that purpose. crouching doesnt mean that hes giving up, he was probably getting ready to play attack. its just a playful kitty chill.

Oh oh, ah lot of comments here from People who dont know a lot about animals and nature. The Kitty wants to play "Catch me iam a mouse" with the dogs hand, its natural reflex that Cats have. And the dog has only motherinstincts and because of that it also has to show Kitty "the rules of nature" and where playing ends, all natural. At 1:12 its so cute, Cat miows "dont hit me, iam a cute Kitten, and 2 seconds later, ZANG and he gets a prank from this cute Tiger.

So interesting! What moxie that little kitten has - and the restrained gentleness of the Husky - The owner must have felt really good about the Husky's nurturing instincts. I really like the way she is sort of laying her head down almost in submission in order to show the kitten that s/he is not a threat and then she doesn't get why the kitten doesn't heed her cue. @rsw68 our cat had 4 litters of kittens. for the first 2 litters our one dog would jump into the box with the kittens when the mother cat got out to eat/use the bathroom and the dog would start cleaning the kittens. even when the mother cat was in the box the dog would lay next to the box and tilt her head everytime a kitten meowed. lol
