Actually superhog, I think it was a good question to ask. It appeared to be meant as a way of dispelling misconceptions just because the word 'manifesto' has been most popularized in conjunction with the word communist. Which in turn has been popularized in history as highly negative.

The reality is that here in Nevada at the State Republican Convention on April 26th Ron Paul had over 50% of the delegates voting for their own to represent Nevada at the National Convention in Minnesota. I was there and the party leadership walked out of the convention when the vote count revealed an alarming fact: Dr. Paul delegates were about to be voted into 7 of the 9 initial national delegate positions.
Dr. Paul speaks the truth and most Americans don't want to hear that. We have become a country of self absorbed, mindless sheep. Freedom? Civil rights? The Constitution? These things don't concern most Americans. What concerns them are celebrity magazines, reality television and having the right brand name printed on their handbags. If I were you, I'd be inclined to give this guy a chance. What have you got to lose? - Your present governmnet?
It'd be worth it just to see him baffle your other candidates with sensible proposals. I think he has quite a sense of humour. I saw him ask e.g. McCain a question at a debate. He must have known that McCain would have no idea at an answer.

What does that say about Americans? Maybe you should consider the fact that Ron Paul has very little media attention and support outside the Internet. Also, being against abortion does not make him anti-choice since many still consider it infanticide. He's not a "wacko." He's a man of principle. Even if, by some miracle, he was elected, he wouldn't make abortions illegal because abortion is a state issue. There is NO OTHER candidate with this much respect for the constitution.

And as he says, what's revolutionary is that these ideas are not new, yet they are viable alternatives to an interventionist foreign policy. Actually superhog, I think it was a good question to ask. It appeared to be meant as a way of dispelling misconceptions just because the word 'manifesto' has been most popularized in conjunction with the word communist. Which in turn has been popularized in history as highly negative.

Not Really. The reality is that here in Nevada at the State Republican Convention on April 26th Ron Paul had over 50% of the delegates voting for their own to represent Nevada at the National Convention in Minnesota. I was there and the party leadership walked out of the convention when the vote count revealed an alarming fact: Dr. Paul delegates were about to be voted into 7 of the 9 initial national delegate positions.
