this guitar is actually the reason he started playing again and its a beast. not only is it a 7 string and mahogany body with maple top the scale length is also 32 inches. if you don't realize how nuts that is most standard guitar are about 25 1/2 inches, extended range is 27 inches, and baritone scale is 30 inches. so yeah an extra two inches past baritone scale. jesus christ. the thing has like 32 frets or something

For him to have the guitar in open B he'd have to have the lowest string be a F#, which that does not sound like. A few of his 6-strings are in it, but not the 7-string.

Schecter and some ESP 7 strings have a baritone scale, and they're tuned to standard 7 string tuning. Ive played a baritone 6 string that was tuned to E before. It's only a couple of inches added to the neck scale, and makes the strings a little tighter feeling, that doesn't mean they need to be downtuned a million steps. Also, you can clearly hear him chugging a low B in the riff, and he doesn't go any lower

its impossible to play a baritone guitar in E standard, as baritone is a range, not a scale (unless you have the guitar set up a certain way).

you can get guitars designed for E standard with long scales (27" etc) though

Yeah, I did some research on Devin, and you're right. My bad about this whole thing. I heard the low B and assumed, "hey, it's tuned in standard" and apparently, I was wrong. You can put light strings on a Baritone guitar and tune it to E though, If a normal guitar is too small for you (like Buckethead, he's usually tuned to Eb). ANYWAYS, this riff is kickass!
