@rebbsniper101 Tbh whilst commentating you will always need to wear a headset, however I would go with an external mic. More specifically a Blue Snowball, it is a great USB recording mic for a relatively small price, lot's of the bigger commentators use them such a Tejbz :)

I'm not sure if this is just me, but when i record with Fraps, my in game audio and in game video stay in sync, whilst my input audio (voice) actually goes a bit faster (I can hear my mouse clicks in Minecraft before I actually perform the action. Any help? Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks, I've been trying to do this for the last year.

How do I make the in game sounds record softer, without lowering my volume? They overpower my mic input even at 100%, but I don't want to lower the actual in game sounds.

@stingray970 The only way to do it outside of a game is to go into volume mixer and lower the volume of that program.

@Sliky1999 Sorry it took so long to reply mate, have you got a headset plugged into your hdmi monitor? You have to be using a headset or headphones for it to work, most likely you need to plug it in directly to your pc but it may work through the monitor.

I'm having a bit of a problem here, setting it to listen allows me to listen to my mic at all times, I just want to be able to here my own voice only when I say something in a game of, say Counter Strike or Team Fortress 2, instead of being able to listen to my voice consistenly along with my keyboard clicks and the such, maybe I did it wrong or something, but help would be appreciated.

@TaxConsumption It's not really hard to figure out how to start recording mate, just use some common sense and go into the movie tab and see what your video capture Hotkey is set to. Saying it is garbage really isn't appropriate as I explained how you can capture in-game sound and your own voice, I'm not here to point out the blatantly obvious :/

@Samhonestguy USB headset mate, for listening USB is far superior. No feedback as opposed to an analogue mic. I have a much more expensive analogue headset with a much better mic than my USB one yet the sound quality of the USB is still better.

@ThirtyVirus1 Are you listening through headphones? Because that's a feedback loop where the mic can pick up what you have just said in the speakers and it makes an infinite loop :)

@AdmiralDoner Yes but not with fraps, you would have to download a program like audacity and then sync the video and audio in vegas or whatever you use. If i'm honest though you should get used to hearing your own voice, i have found that you speak more clearly when you can actually hear yourself. I don't even notice it anymore so you will get used to it :)
