Hi, I was the guy on the R6 with the orange helmet & I can confirm, that the hayabusa rider did back off as he was waiting for Alan (fireblade). However I did piss past everyone in this group & was held back in the later stages with my mate Gary to let everyone else almost get a lap lead. This prooved pointless, as we still caught & passed the entire group. This year we will be in the intermediate group. Cheers Reg.
Tthx man. But I've 2 say ..... 1st of all I'm amateur 2 track days and it was my 1st one, 2nd it's Val de Vienne - pretty technical track not fast and lastly the 3rd of all I'm riding on 250kg of weight Hayabusa not 170kg fireblade or gsxr :D
But I have 2 confess .... it was slow but this year will be Le Mans - and much faster phase.
Clearly the rider on the Blade was a Novice. Put the same Pro rider to do race distance on each bike and time it you will find the Blade lapping the Hayabusa! Winner NOT!
Hi. Yeap he's novice, the same me. We had small competition and that's all .... and yes, I was a winner :p
P.S.
Put a pro rider on Hayabusa on one of the less curves/more straights circuit and here you go. Don't forget that busa was designed mainly for fast comfortable cruising and top speed runs NOT for circuit !!! That's my 2cents.
