  • What a beautiful sound I played this amp through a TS9 and a Cry Baby cranked the overdrive channel up abit and rolled of on the treble and it just sang to me :)

  • you looks like the one playing banjo in délivrance .... AAHAHAHHAHA

  • fucking great!

  • I got blues junior too, but you this dude seems much, much happier than I am.

  • Hey, man. Why did you sell this amp? It sounds pretty good!

Keep on playing. You´re good, man!

  • Man I wish I could enjoy my playing and my sound as much as you do!!

Too bad I am not that good :P

    Yet... :D

  • I im going to buy it I think

  • I played a gig last week and when put the mic over my Blues Junior it sounded so pure. Not that it doesn't without it, I'm just saying you all have to try it.

  • nice! thanks!

  • Totally excellent. I'm thinking of buying a BJ to replace a Marshall AV50 (sick of the Marshall tone). I'm only wanting it for home use - is it possible to get good tone at low volume with the BJ. For the price difference, I wasn't sure whether to go for this or the HRD. Any thoughts?

  • You get so much tone, at low levels is unbelievable. I'm in the same boat as you sir, getting rid of my marshalls to get one of these babies just for the tone. I'm keeping on of my 412 cabs so i can run the amp into that.

  • Depends on what you need feature wise. If you need two channels, enough volume to destroy Iceland, and a heavier amp, go for the HRD. If you don't need those things or know how to mic up an amp good, go for the BJR.

  • Love that 'SRV Note' at the end! Great Jimi tones, 'before' the screamer I mean. So, which is easier to play, the 50th or the 62 RI? Cool playing! Also, which do you prefer? Why? :)

  • His head moving is simply because hes playing with feeling, unlike a lot of people these days. OH AND BTW what kind of tubescreamer are you using? 808 or 9 or 7?

  • exactly, like i said in the first demo, there'll be people bagging you anyway if you don't play with emotion...

'show some damn feeling dude, you look like a robot!'

    -.-

  • it's a TS9 by the way, says so in his other clip

  • thanks

  • if you dont feel the music go through you, you probably shouldnt play music altogether. most of the time when im playing. all i do is close my eyes and just play whatever im feeling. i dont get how people listen to the shit that people call music these days.

  • naah depends... It's hard to feel the music go through you if you are a beginner trying to play Hendrix the first times, i did atleast. Except from that, I agree with you ;)

  • frigin sweet, i feel alot safer about buying this amp now! :):)

  • Awesome sound and playing.

60% certain on this amp now(with a AC15 on the contrary)

Goin testing later this month tough.

  • hella good purple haze

  • great tone from that Junior!

  • I love all the comments about his face...only us musicians know why we do it. Sometimes it can't be put into words...it's just emotions coming out in the form of sound and our bodies move along as a side-effect.

  • amen to that man - and also great playing to the guy in the video

  • He loves this shit! That's what all the looks are about!Hell, you ought to see me i will get to playing some mean blues riff and the look on my face,You would swear that i just smelled shit! Now that shit is funny i dont care who you are!

  • you look like robert knepper!

  • 1- What´s the riff of 1:19

2- Your TS9 have been modded??

3- Very nice sound, very good playing

  • the riff is "the wind cries mary" by jimi hendrix :D

  • his face? go watch a video of jimi hendrix play and you tell me who has the weird face

  • hes joking idiot. rofl that was funny

  • only joking great stuff

  • maybe hes moved by the music he plays.

  • is that a tube screamer u stepped on im guessing.... how does the amp break up when u crank it..... i have an old fender champ that sounds better than a marshall when i try to blast it...

  • Yep, it was a TS9.

Anyway, it's a matter of taste for the tone. ;)

  • Well it sounds goods...I mean...the amp .

  • Lot's of Jimi nice :) Question for you, I'm looking into Fenders but I'm low on cash so I was wondering if you could lend me a hand in what Fenders are cheap but I should be looking into. (I realize cheap fenders still roll around 350-500 bucks :P)

  • Is there an output jack so you can hook it up to a cabinet or something?

  • yes it has

  • did it sound ok with the original eminence speaker?

  • Yep, it's ok. It was to dry for my own ear.

    But it's a good one. ;)

  • Nice guitar! I have a BJ too. Did you change the speaker on it? And what microphone are you using? Great playing BTW.

  • thanks. Yeahn i chanfed the HP, i put a Celestion Vintage 30. ;)

  • Really inspiring tone. Did you ever compare the Blues Jr to the Princeton Recording Amp? I wonder if the tone on the latter is any better given the extra cost.

  • Sorry, never could try a Princeton, but i heard a lot of good about it. ;)

  • is it possible to plug that amp into a 2 12 cabinet? btw nice tone and great playing!

  • I know some poeple that did that. No pb, juste take care of the impedance. ;)

  • Sounds great, that's one nice amp. I noticed a bit of background humming is that just the mic/video? Or does the amp make that much noise?

  • The humming came from the amp, and i play a strat with single coil pickups.

Bu, you have to notice the Mic is right in front of the amp, you don't hear so much noise in the room. ;)

  • Thanks for mentioning that, managed try one really is a nice amp.

  • yeah knew it was somthing like that havent listened to JH for while.

thinking of buying if buying a blues junior now for my strat which is taking a while to get delivered :| do blues junior tweeds and the standard ones sound different or are they jsut a different design?

  • Sound different because the HP is different. ;)

I changed th HP of my BJ anyway. ;)

  • I think the Tweed ones have a better speaker than the standard blues jr.

  • Exactly !

The stock HP in the BJ was too "dry" for me.

I assume the tweed with his Jensen speaker must be great. ;)

  • he starts off with all along a watch tower then goes into purple haze

  • Nope, it's not all along the watchtower but The wind Cries mary, then Purple Haze. ;)

  • yup, definately purple haze :) tone sounds great! nice playing!

  • To me, you've manages to capture a bit of John Frusciante's tone there - truly wonderful!

  • at 1:43 jimi hendrix, which song?

  • I believe it's purple haze.

  • Cool ! Et alors ? tu en es content ? ;)

  • DUDE!!! You play so good!

I love this amp, like your guitar!

Are you satisfied of your amp??

Sorry for my english of french student ^^

  • Salut !

Merci. relaxe; je suis francais aussi. Et oui, le Blues Junior est terrible. ;)

  • Dude... Kassad62

If you woulf buy an amplifier for gigs..

See my problem... I liked A LOT this Fender. BUT, it's too small for concerts. So, i tested a Fender Hot Rod and a Peavey Classic. But I couldn't get this FUCKING great tone that I got from blues jr. You think I should buy the blues jr. and then use a mic for getting it's signal to the mixing console and after to the big speakers?

By the way, excellent playin' and tone.

  • Exactly !

It's what i do during my last concert.

My blues Junior, a mic i, frony of it, and in th console. It was ok. :D

  • Hey, I'm interested in the blues junior, do you know if i could put an extension cab under it? Also I play a g&l legacy, could i pull off that tone with one?

And finnaly out of curiosity what is the difference between a rosewood and a maple finger board?

    Nice playing!

  • I know some people use cab with their Blues Junior.

A g&l legacy ? Excellent guitar, i think you could have typicall strat sound with it, modern way.

A rosewood finger bord is warmer. ;)

  • Nice sounding amp! :)

Could you tell what was the volume and gain settings on the amp?

  • volume around 9, master near 2... ;) If i remember correctly.

  • can you get the tubes running hot to get the best sound without your neighbour knocking on your wall to turn it down? im tied between the Fender and the Windsor Studio Peavey the peavey as a power soak check it out. Its a tough decision for me to make.

  • Try it in a store if you could. the best way to be sure.

I can use it in my appartment, and i can play it at low level.

  • great playing, but actually clapton uses fender twins or twin copies ... the tweed ones of course... his tone was terrible when he used the soldanos back in the 80s/90s

  • great amp, i cant wait to get mine, is that clapton hes playing?

  • Clapton plays on Fender Bassman, or Soldano amp... ;)

  • awesome great bluesy tone all your stuff is excellent!

  • that's a huge challenge !!!!!!

    :D

  • great!!!

i would like to see more of you playing your 50th american strat;-)

maybe you can do something like wind creis mary or little wing if you have the time;-)

    love your playing!!

  • Great sound. Can you tell me if you are playing here on modified Blues Jr? Also, is it an American Strat, and/or what kind of pickups? Thank you, keep on rocking.

  • The blues junior on this video is not modified.

It's an american serie 50th anniversary with 50 Custom Shop pickups. ;)

  • qu'as tu mis comme tubes de remplacement?

  • Im getting a hot rod delux soon. Does anyone know if its gona be able to sound as twangy as this

  • I'm getting a Blues Junior soon! Have you thought about modding your BJ? I've read that the Billm mods make a big difference in tone.

  • I changed the Tubes and the speaker. ;)

  • wow..what incredible tone! after watching this, I immediately realized that I had to learn to play Wind Cries Mary- I did, and now I can't stop playing it

  • Does that 50th have CS '54 pups?

  • exactly ! :)

  • So excited is a pretty nice riff to play. Next time can you try some little wing style chords/melody, it would be nice.

  • You look like you really enjoy playing. Rock on.. or rather, blues on!

  • I got the '65 twin reverb and it is a whole different world.

But your playing sounds really well, loved the Hendrix part!

  • thanks.

The Twin reverb is an amazing amp !!! lucky you ! ;)

  • nice playing man, im thinking about getting one of these

  • would you mind tellin me , if it isnt too much trouble, what your settings are accross the panel? thanks :D

  • hi, at this time, i can't remember. but now, the best for me : middle 10, bass 2, trebble 4, volume 8, master 2. ;)

  • i have that amp. i love it. it is the greatest blues amp i've ever played.

    good playing also as always.

  • I love your playing, would you consider a video of the vox without backing nusic. I love this amp and would like to hear it from the 62 strat. Thanks

  • Hi ! Maybe if i've got some time. I don't use a lot the Vox, now i have the Fender. ;)

  • Ahhhh, I was thinkin bout that myself, mine is stock and oh so muddy..

  • I try a lot of different setup with treble, bass etc... It's not so easy to get the sound you want. ;)

  • Have u modified the blues junior at all?

  • Just changed the tubes in the preamp part. ;)

  • mouhahaha !

    non jamais... ;)

  • Man I just ordered a Blonde Blues Junior a day ago, I can't wait. I love the Wind Cries Mary bit too.

  • Great amp ! Happy for you pal !!! ;)

  • oooh a bit of purple haze

  • Très beau son... Merci

    Nice sound, thanks

  • Thanks !

I'm just discovering you videos... Amazing !!!

  • I think the Tube Screamer doesn´t made any diference!

  • hmm...

The difference is easy to hear... ;)

  • One of the few good sounding amps, IMHO. I gotta line splitter and mix the mic back in thru the optical pedal.

  • I love this amp! I've got a Fender Strat and the Blues Junior and it's awesome. I also love your facial expressions!

  • hahah true lol

  • I thought a blues junior would be too loud to play in an appartment. Which are the amp settings that you use in this video?

  • hi !

no its' ok, you must be carefull with master.

    I put bass on 1 or 2, treble around 4, and Middle on 10, volume on 11 with fat on, and Master near 2... ;

  • awesome sound and playing.

  • ahh awesome

  • Always fancied one of those amps Kassad, keep up the good work!

  • pure joy eh? I'm saving up for my Fender Blues Jr too..

  • FUNNY, we both like the same guitar licks. Great playing. Audio wise I can't get the sound clip to sound good. Yours sounds much better, what the secret ? Are you compressing the file ?

  • what i'm doing to record :

I put a Mic (Sure SM58) in front of the amp. The Mic is plugged in my PC, in a X-Fi sound card, and i record it with Windows movie maker... That's all.

  • Kassad62, you had done it again, good work.

  • great amp + great guitar + great player = great sound !!

  • Venant de toi, ca me touche beaucoup mon poux laid... :D

  • Great Sound, your sunburst is it a '57 Strat or '50 Classic?

  • On this video, it's a stratocaster american serie 50th anniversary 2 tones sunburst. My other strat is an american vintage stratocaster 1962 reissue, 3 tones sunburst. ;)

  • sounds like you found a killer combination of guitar..amp..and talent..rock on!!!special thanks to your wife for letting you share this videos with the world!!!

  • very clear fender nice sweet tones with your fender tube amp, and your vox tones are more bass. I like your 62 and your vox amp more. keep it , I always listen your music

  • very nice amp... you should do an improv with its clean channel without OD... that amp is known for its killer cleans

  • Thanks. I will do this soon... ;)

  • Great playing through a great guitar/amp combo!

  • Hey thanks Klasek ! ;)
