Check mine out. I built mine from scratch too. Opens up with a code. And closes after min. But its programable.

Is it possible to at least tell me where you get your equipments from and what you need to get this up and running? or did you do this all from scratch from PCB soldering and wiring?

this is all from scratch the frame for the lcd is made out of picture framing aluminum the track to move it in and out was from a cd changer the electronics for the servo control to move it up and down were hand made.

i want to know if i could make something like this to cradle a laptop in the back of a seat . so when i hit a button, the laptop comes up out of the seat , and folds out like a tv tray in a airplane. think you can help . or atleast advise ??

it had taken me many man hours to design and build that one. It could be done but at what cost and time. best to look for something aftermarket. thanks

so ur telling me , i couldnt take the hardware from a indash screen , and incorporate them into what i need them for. i was also thinking of just useing it , to make a keyboard unfold out of the seat. it would be alot less bulky , and dont have to worry about anything overheating.
