I never understood why Germany haven't a rugby side on the same level of Romania, Georgia or Portugal ...germans are big, tall and theretically a good attitude about rugby spirit ...moreover Germany got a huge sport tradition which may help to find good athlete .

People just care about football, or beating other people....

And beside of that (And mostly because its not taken serious) rugby teams get just a little bit support.

Germans would be good at rugby if they took it seriously. They'd have big forwards like the South Africans or the English, and like their football team they'd never feel pressure and play 100% all the time like a machine.

By serious I mean if you had a professional league and it attracted more of your best athletes. In England 1 million people play the game, and some schools play it as the major sport instead of football.

Yes that was, what I meant. Rugby is just a minor sport in Germany and just around or in big cities are succesful clubs. In every little village with at least a few hundred inhabitants has a football club. We need this circumstances for Rugby too or it will stay a minor sport.

At the British University I was in, half of the team were Germans and Austrians....more or less every German I knew at the Uni played rugby.
