Yes the first few moments are missing. Same thing for the conclusion. It's the way the files came when I got them.  I have an Egghead one also with the same problem. :(

Yeah, I'm guessing the VCR was set to record but the episode started a minute early. It happened in several others from that set too. >:( The beep sound is due to possibly using editing software to cut out the commercials.
