no i think the silver haired girl is the one from the other series. she's from the episode when it was back in ancient Egypt and she was one of the people who had the card spirits in her and she had the blues white dragon which is why she is holding one. at one point kaiba tried to save her from being sacrificed but he only ended up getting himself in trouble so she summoned the dragon spirit and rescued them both. :D

Ah, but just to clarify a bit more. She was in the original manga but only for one chapter (as Honda's crush) in the first volume. They did make her into a main character, but only for the Japanese first season. They dropped her because 1) a different company made the anime we know and 2) she really wasn't in the storyline that we know now.
