Marilyn Manson said it best when he said the bible is a fascinating story, the book on a whole is a fascinating tale not a horrible book, the christians personal interpretations of it (usually twisted to suit themselves) however is something that makes me vomit some. I once said to a pastor "I wont push my beliefs on you if you don't upchuck yours on me" ...my hubs tells the JW's this "I'm catholic the wifes pagan we're going to hell and happy about it" LOL I don't get many repeat visits!
you need to make a christians survival guide for the norm shit they usally feed us. I had some JW's come to my door last summer. I had them in and sat them down at my dinner table and walked them through there bible. The embarrasment was obvious. But I knew they would go back to there superior and round up and answer for me. I explained to them the physcholoigal effects and it comfort.(fear) I invited them back to my home and wished them a great and educated day. I never heard for them again.
MyFartsRock - That is absolutely one effective method that lots of Atheists have tried.
I have a friend who used to just answer the door totally nude, and since he lived in a trailor at the time, his junk was always right there in their faces as soon as he opened the door.
Once they went and told a cop, and the cop said hey, if you don't want to see people how they are in their home relaxing, don't knock every f'n door in the neighborhood! Especially not HIM, the well known Atheist!
HeathenWarriorPoet - That's wise. I agree, it's a very complex issue that gets tossed around way too much. Well lately I've been doing some extra research into him and them, and I've seen some of the latest info that's been uncovered.
The more I learn about Hitler the more I think we ought to bring it up in certain contexts.
Plus as long as we U.S. taxpayers have to help fund Israel, we ought to be able to remind folks of the direct connections between Nazis and some in politics now.
Diaphanus - You mean when they say that Stalin's purges were what our side has to explain and live down? lol That one's easy. Yes, I'll try to make a video about that one.
Someone once counted all of the people in the Bible that God himself killed and it went into the millions. I'll be sure to include that little issue.

I'm sure you've all found yourselves a guest in a situation where you're put on the spot by being asked to say 'grace'.
1. Announce that you need to know what's being served (because you need to know where to direct your gratitude).
2. Thank the animals and plants being served for giving their life to sustain yours.
3. Say "Lets eat" and be surprised at anyone else's shock.
You may never be asked to say grace again.

This is the first direct articulation of my, now habitual, approach to being proselytized.
In whatever form it happens to take, I never remain quiet when religion is pushed my way no matter how subtle the push.

I prefer to not bring up Hitler. I allow the Christains open that can of worms, and get owned.

Hey Joe, I would love to hear your response to the old "Greatest Atrocities" argument sometime.
