@bajenkartellen Come to Australia and see all the Assyriska jerseys in Sydney! Assyriska is opening a fan shop to cater for the US and Australia market and we are patiently waiting for its release to buy more gear, plus alot of Assyrians watch the games through csports, theres about 4 million Assyrians worldwide but id say 2 million actually support the club in a small way or another :), i think the kurd club and the Assyrian club is much different Assyriska is more well known across the world

@Atouraya2165 i've seen Dalkurd FC scarves abroad, i know that people follow them over the internet, there are about 30 million kurds worldwide but id say 15 million actually support the club, do you see the problems with your logic?

Go to rome, paris, athens, buenos aires, vienna, aarhus etc and you will see hammarbyscarves, still because of this i dont claim hammarby to have millions of supporters, why? Because you are not more then your attendance +-a couple of thousands (AFF avg is ~2-3k)

@bajenkartellen Well then in fan comparison its Dalkurd FC > Assyriska FF > hammarby, every Assyrian i know supports Assyriska however we can't travel and watch the games because we live in Sydney, i will be visiting Sweden early next year to catch a game or two with a couple of my friends, also i would say alot of Assyriska fans in Sweden choose to watch the games at home hence why there is low attendance numbers, i pay $12 a game to watch it on the internet here in Sydney..

Hammarby,AIK,Djurgårdem > Barcelona/M United > Dalkurd > Syrianska > Assyriska

Also i love your thinking about people staying home watching the games on tv, im sorry but that sounds like a pitty excuse for crappy attendance. But im not trying to belittle Assyriska, you can't really expect a club (not the people) with no history to have a great support

@bajenkartellen What im trying to say is ethnic clubs run by say Assyrians or Kurds would have millions of supporters because it would be seen as a substitute national team since these people do not have nations to support.every assyrian sees Assyriska as a substitute national team, even though they are only in the superettan of Sweden we still look up to them.. i live in Australia and our shitty a-league has 12,000 avg attendance because you can't watch the games for free on TV unless you pay.

i am well aware of this phenomenon, but with an avg atd of 2-3000 it doesnt make any sense to claim that you have 2 million supporters.

1st the number is taken the size of the group divided by 2, something you came up with yourself

2nd are you a supporter if you just watch the games at home on the tv? i've been following a team that i feel strongly about abroad (and i follow the national team) but i dont count my self as a supporter of neither hence im not actively supporting them

@bajenkartellen Most people in Australia dont support Soccer they all watch rugby lol, our league was founded in 2004 and has no relegation or promotion system, so its only 7 years old all the clubs are either that old or even younger, our team Sydney FC gets 10,000- 12,0000 attendance a game and its capacity is 45,000, the real supporters go to the game every week, we only love our national team those boys actually play decent football.

@bajenkartellen Not taking anything away from Hammarby i know you guys are a great team ive watched your games before but in my opinion when it comes to world wide Assyriska would have more fans because of the simple fact we see the team as a national team since we don't have a nation, too bad us Assyrians are facing identity issues with "Aramaic" vs "Assyrian" or else Syrianska and Assyriska would be one team with one massive fan base..

@Bbajare in 2006 our old football system was disbanded, they made a new system with no Ethnic teams, there were many teams like Croatian, Italian, Assyrian etc, we had a team called "Fairfield Bulls" but in the new system called the "A-league" only city names are allowed like Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne etc, our team was created in 1971 we had many supporting it however football isnt popular in Australia its more Rugby league, our average attendance for the a-league is like 10,000....
