I so miss playing EQ at times, had many great times grouping / raiding / kicking back and having some fun with great friends I meet in the game. I stopped playing not too long after PoR came out if I rember right.

One a side question, my memories are failing me, but was there a raid window that showed all the members? and does anyoen have a pic or somethign of it?

@PoppieXL Yeah the "raid" window was added with the UI Update that went in around velious times I think? I remember before that you couldn't even have a "raid" it was just a bunch of groups together.

No MMORPG has been as immersive for me as EQ. Props to the developers for making awesome landscapes and dungeons. The spells in EQ 1 are better than anything that came after in my opinion too. Teleports, SoW, Invis, Fear, Charm, levitate and ALL those D&D spells that are not purely combat related kick ass. SO much about it was epic and realistic, not a lot of shortcuts and meaningless quests. I just wish warriors could do more than auto attack and kick lol.

Ahhhhh the good old EQ days...back when quests were more reasonable & you didn't have to spend insane amounts of time looking for rare drops for long key quests just to be able to enter a zone.

i miss the old school eq, nothing beats it , fighting for spawns, 100+ man raids , the pvp , the corpse runs, the people

I agree old school eq owns, everything you said is true except for the "pvp" part lol. the PvP in EQ has always and always will be, horrible. Definitely PvE only game. Just my opinion.

Is this a recent vid? If so, how did you go about getting those older spell particle effects? I can't stand the new ones honestly, and I'd love to get the older spell graphics back.

The video is actually pretty old. Probably made in about 2003 or earlier. Was after the new interface was put in but back when people were still killing Trak for loot. So the older spell effects were still in. I can't take credit for the video. I just found it on my old PC and thought it needed to be shown off to all of the classic eq fans.
