  • awsum.............

  • @ Musicisallittakes

No, he did not back up the vocals in Hindi, he backed up the vocals in Urdu. Big difference there. Songs are not sung in Hindi, but Urdu, which has the background for these types of things.

  • Check Eddie's face at 4:26... Can only imagine what is going through his head. I know what was going through mine...

  • down on music latey...I'm just not listening to the right stuff...my brain just needs something ancient...like this

  • Dude! Did He, Did Eddie back up Rahat's vocals? :O

    In Hindi? :O

    2:20 + ?? :O

  • @Musicisallittakes That's not Hindi, that's Urdu! And yeah I couldn't believe it too.. He sang it really well! Just goes to show how great he is!

  • Eddie is God of music !!

  • Amazing song but in 3:08' it's like he's singing in spanish: Saca saca queso queso saca y el jamon mamamon saca el queso saca el queso queso queso queso jamon jamon jamon champagne champagne champagne! pa'ya pa'ca pa'casa ahahahahahahahhaahhahah que te ataca que te ataca que te atacaaa

  • @vikystabio He's going up and down the eastern classical scale of music, which is

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni

That's why you hear, Sa Ga, Sa Ma, Sa Pa, etc.

  • @vikystabio That's something like English's Do Re Mi.

  • @kreeepyy great to know, thank you!

it still makes me smile when I make the literal translation to spanish!

    Namaste!

  • It's a fantastic movie and a truly beautiful song

  • Beautiful song, touches the soul!

an excellent music inside a movie that explains one of the biggest difficulties of the human being ... to forgive...

please pay attention to the movie message...cultures, races and... what world need..hope and peace...

  • your just stupid and dumb

  • Rahat is terrible, oh so terrible. no match for Nusrat.

  • He is young. He will improve. Try not to be so negative. Nusrat wouldn't approve of your comment.

  • Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan(one minute in his memory). I have this friend in India, she told me that, for them,he was a celebrity. In this video he shows part of their culture: nearly a religious song. Pretty cool!

  • ohh yes, eddie is watching at rahat so curiously..

its like how is he doing that?

  • at 4:29 Eddie looks at him like "wtf is going on?"

  • Shuahushuahsua. I agree with you at that point.

  • This is one of the greatest music ever, but how could they use it for such a crap movie like the Dead Man Walking?

  • I just saw Dead Man Walking. (After listening to the soundtrack. I thought the movie also will b as good as the music). Really crap movie.

  • you obviously don't understand the film and its many layers of truth.

  • walking the earth

  • wonderfullllllll

  • i subscribe to your comment.

  • Rahat's terrible, sorry. No comparison to Nusrat.

  • am a huge admirer of rahat, but its clear in this song that no one can replace nusrat.

    long live nusrat.

the greatest artist from this part of the world

  • how far ahat has come... have u heard rahat's "tera bina"? it's breath taking

    peace

  • sorry the key stuck , it's Rahat

  • u gotta hear the one Nusrat...he is the big daddy of 'em all (including Rahat, ofcourse) ;)

  • u gotta hear the one sung by Nusrat...no doubt he is the big daddy of 'em all (including Rahat, ofcourse) ;)

  • hey do u hav any idea where i can get the audio file of this song?

  • Which one? Nusrat's or Rahat's?

  • nusrat's ofcourse

  • if u still haven't got hold of the original audio file with nusrat on the vocals, i can mail it to u.

  • drunk or not...the man can sing

  • This is one of the best piece of music which was created inspired (not chosen from already released songs/bands/music) by the movie.Dead Man Walking's OST is the best of all times on my list. Its A Meeting Of The Best Creative Artists from all over making an album with the theme of the movie!Top10;thanx 4 this Face Of Love.

  • In response to asydwaters,I concur..THE Greatest soundtrack album IMHO. Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Steve Earle, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen etc. to name but a few. All to be found on the one astonishing album.*****

  • Sure is some culture mix. I really enjoy it. It should have more of this.

  • no doubt... Vedder was drunk - the way how he "put" the guitar and else.
