  • how many sesions does it take to remove hair definiteve??

  • wonder how long one session would take to do the whole face on a guy (beard, mustache, underchin, etc.) so i wouldn't have to shave anymore?

  • @dumdum212 .... about 2 hours probably

  • She does approx three injections of a local anesthetic per armpit and/or bikini area. Once that part is over you can't feel a thing. She won't use it in other areas such as the face. The numbing cream only numbs the surface layers of the skin. She trained in Australia with Edna Marshall who only trained nurses in Electrolysis. She's been practicing for over 30 years. I had it done when I was in my 20's. My daughters are now seeing her for treatment. Cheers

  • Sorry but my electrologist did a whole armpit in 1 hr. Your method looks slow and painful. I am living proof their is a better way than yours. I had my bikini line arm pits and eye brows done 15 years ago and have never had any hair growth in these areas for years - with no scarring and I was really hairy. BTW my electrologist is also a trained nurse and numbs the area being treated.

  • @HotFlush2 What numbing cream (if it was a cream) did she use?

  • 1:20 XD

  • why can't they use a local anesthetic or something like that so your upper lip is numb and you wont feel anything?

  • My electrologist uses the most modern equipment, and it STILL hurts!! Maybe I'm too sensitive

  • @PartytimeConfetti On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst pain ever), how bad is it?

  • @princessamina1 about a 6-7... in the beginning it was bad, but I think I've gotten used to it

  • does this work on neck hair in women??

  • is the hair removal permanent?

  • @missbriisoily

hair removal trough electrolysis is the ONLEY technique wich efects are permanent!

  • This seriously doesn't look like a good time lol

  • Poor Pam xD

  • I was wondering how i can make sure, when i go to my electrolysis specialist, that they use new/unused needled/probes on me;or do you just sterilize them in between the patients? What should i ask them? I am talking so that i don't catch anything from the needle/probe.The place i found is nice, but still;i don't trust anyone and i don't want to put myself at risk with catching anything. Is there a chance for that?

    Thank you in advance

  • @thrashwillwin

geez, i'm going to try this right now....just kidding.

  • shes scary

  • @TheMscrp yeah uhhhh get a life

  • @TheMscrp go favorite 700 more techno songs loser

  • This is the weirdest electrolysis video ever. You don't have to wear a hair-net or have saran wrap on your upper lip nor do you have to wear a blanket. This isn't plastic surgery, people.

  • @batshitcrazy the cling film is for use with the emla cream. You apply the Emla cream then cover it in cling film for it to activate itself and numb the area before ant work is undertaken.

  • My English 204 teacher has a mustache... what can she do?

  • There's another good video that shows better equipment.

look up a video called "uni-probe"

  • just want to let you guys know, i have to agree with soniadlay 79, it is not the equipment that matters all electrolysis machines will remove hair permanently, it is the skills of the electrologist that matters.

  • can anybody help...i cant see any of the videos by expertvillage...her whole fuckin caption covers the screen and it only happens when i click on her videos...unfortunately no one else is showing videos of the procedure

  • lady - u freaked me ouT!

  • Christ! Listening to that woman talk through the whole ordeal would be worse than any pain the probe would produce.

  • Doesn't hurt 2 much…

  • does the pain feel like tweezer pulling or like a poke? anyone know?

  • Dose it hurt?

  • @lauraloulouuux Kinda.. you feel it yes

  • which is better Electrolysis or laser hair removal

  • electrolysis permanent REMOVAL laser reduces ammount but its not guaranteed.

  • Hi all, I am transgender. So far I have had 15 laser treatment on my face and between 25 to 30 on all body areas. regarding body 75% perm reduction, remaining very fine, shaving easy,no rash, re-growth much slower. Face 75% reduced, shadow 90% gone, not bad but now have lighter hairs that do not respond. Also its likely there will be re-growth, so Im looking to start electrolysis which ismost likely the best way since its permanent.

  • Yes, saucysuzysix, as far as I know, electrolysis is the only treatment currently listed as "permanent." I have heard it said that laser is the silver standard, electrolysis is the gold standard.

  • Why do you state that she is a quack? Im really just wondering. IM looking into getting electrolysis, and the more education the better. Thanks! :)

  • I've been getting electrolysis done for the past month. Depending on the area, the sting you will feel is quite okay. I've done my chin and the sting is like nothing, my upper lip can be a little uncomfortable, but not super bad. Electrolysis is inexpensive and you should only do one 15 min session a week. I can't do IPL because I have sensitive skin, so this is my only alternative. Try it, they do test patches at the consultation, so you can determine your pain tolerance at the consult.

  • Is there anyway to get upper hair removed for good?

  • reply to me if you may,

So if i were to get an Electrolysis kit and start the machine up, I would have to hold the hair with a tweezer and and get the zapper thing to hold it aswell?, correct me if i'm wrong and send me instruction and help pl0x :D

  • I'm a transgender female (physical male), and I just started electrolysis. It's not a lot of pain, but the upper lips does hurt more than other areas that you'd think would be more sensitive.

  • Hey, Im also a trans women. Can you tell me every thing you KNOW about electrolysis? Im looking into it, and, the more info the better. Also, How do you KNOW if she is using the UP todate tools????

  • Electroloysis is a permanent hair removal technique, but takes a long time to get each individual hair removed during its active growth state. The same hair may be removed several times before it is taken out during growth period. There is no way to tell. This is a very long-term engagement. Typically as long as you could tweeze a hair, it is long enough for this method. The newer (sort of) machines have a pulse that lasts only miliseconds, so the pain is very short, which was not the case b4.

  • theres no such thing as upto date tools a machine is a machine as long as the practioner knows what they are doing, i have treated a few transgender who are more than impressed witht the results.

  • Blackpower This will work great on the uni brow but remember this " it is permanent but only after every cycle of growth has been removed" The lips and mouth area are the most painful on the face however it is so worth the pain. Impala you really don't feel the needle like acupuncture but the zapping is hella painful.

  • Ok then, the zapping is omg gosh dern painful for sure! Around the lips brings tears!

  • Sorry Lotto but she is doing it correctly for them. The correct position is the one that is comfortable for the client and the worker. The only thing that is important after that is that she uses the correct angle when inserting the needle which she is.

  • Wow, LottoWinner999, that's kind of crazy if that's all it takes to get a diploma! :-O

  • I just got this done the other day, it HURTS SO BAD!! But it's worth it :)

  • Hey I got a unibrow that I pluck and It has bothered me for years.Would this be good for me?

  • blackpower911: It will. Electrolysis is the only hair removal that has been slated to be permanent. Just be prepared - cuz it hurts and will probably make your eyes water! I've had my 3rd appt and omg around the mouth seriously hurts!

  • Hey Impala, I had laser hair removal done before but then I quit going because I heard that it was not permanent. So I said "what's the point in going through all that if one day it will grow back again" this was before I knew that there was such thing as electrolysis. But I wanted to ask if you know that if it is more or less painful to do electrolysis than laser treatment. Cuz, lazer did kind of hurt around the area above my lips.

  • Aldenif: I have never had laser, so I do not know. But . . . I will say that electrolysis *does* hurt some...my appointments are for 1 hour. It *really* will make your eyes water on your upper lip - *trust* me! Some hints: 1) do *not* drink coffee before you go - caffeine can intensify the pain 2) I am not a Dr so I cannot advise, but my electrologist suggested taking 800mg of Ibuprofen about a half hour before - it definitely helps.

  • Cool. Thanks for the advice about the coffee thing. I drink coffee all the time. I guess I gotta make sure I don't drink coffee for about 2 weeks.....making sure every last drop gets out of my system. LOL.

  • More than welcome!

  • you can use a numbing cream called EMLA this is very good but you need to have applied it at least 20 mins prior to treatment ,you can bu y it easily too.

  • Kilandra: Oh it is painful, especially right around the mouth area. I haven't had my neck done yet but I'm guessing that's going to hurt too. Laser works, but hasn't been listed as permanent, and doesn't work on certain types of hair (I can't remember if it's dark hair or light hair - but I believe the FDA classifies electrolysis as the only one that is permanent).

  • i heard that ahit hurts big tym like sum thing burning ur

  • It does some. Like someone poking you with a needle and then a burning sensation (the electrical zap thingy). Afterward, it is tender and initially a little swollen. For the next day or two it feels a little like it is bruised.

  • Is this better then the laser?

  • way better than laser.. this is permanent nothign else is permanent laser has bin proven to not bin permanent x

  • ah did you do this?

  • From what I've researched, electrolysis is the "gold standard" and laser is the "silver standard."

  • shit dont work, I did it b/c I hate shaving, I had to laser hair removal

  • Oooh thats gonna hurt

P.S I posted this coment before I watched video

  • Karen had her shop legally and inspected in her 4,000 ft. home for ten years without a problem until a jealous, nasty person who is most likely you who never even met Karen did their best to hurt her. Now there is nothing. God protects good people

  • EEk that looks like it hurts.

  • Under the nose it can hurt. There are more nerves there than almost any where else on the body. But, it is only for seconds and very manageable done correctly. Some clients don't want any discomfort of any kind and like to numb the area under the nose. They go see their primary care doctor for numbing agent called Emla and only use a small amount applying it one hour before the visit and feel nothing. That is the client's choice and the doctor.

  • Expertvillage"s people did their research and called on Karen..! My concern is some people have ulterior movtives when using the system and the internet to discedit someone who has the client's interest as the main concern. This is obviously the competitor who sent in the undercover detective in an attempt to hurt Karen & her business and continuing the same hurtful behavior. You must be one sad individual inside.

  • does this work the first time around or is it in treatments....?

  • no.... the tratment can take upto 11 months. Normally it is between 8-11 months!

  • It only works on hairs that in the active cycle of growth. Yes, you need to do repeated visits but if you have a great electrologist the problem will be solved..

Check out the electrologist's training and experience. Some states have no requirements and some have lots of training needed. If your electrologist comes from a state like Calf. or Mass. they will be highly trained and with many years of experience you most likely will get a great service.

  • Does Electrolysis get rid of facial hair for good ?

  • Electrolysis is the only form of a 100% permanent hair removal on any hair. It doesn't matter size, color or color of the skin. It works beautifully but, only on actively growing hair same with laser hair removal. That is why you need to do repeated treatment to kill the different cycles of actively growing hair

  • does this hurttttt?

    it looks like it

    reply....

  • I had my first 30 minute treatment today. It hurt a little bit - but the person that did it for me was very very nice and she lowered the intensity for me a bit. When I left the office, my upper lip and chin were swollen due to the treatment - but I am hair-free. Now I have to wait for the rest of the hair to grow out for next Wednesday (my next treatment). Though the pain is a little too much on your lip, I like to think that it's well worth it. I also took an Aleve before I left my house.

  • wooa is this expensive?? how much?/

  • Where I go it's a 30 min session for $50. But other places have em for $20 for 15 min sessions, etc, etc.

  • Questions need to be researched.. The state and the state's requirements. One example is Fla. is only 250 hours and Mass. and Calf. require much much more. Another big question is how long has he or she been treating and what do their reviews say. Are they a Clinical and Medical Electrologist? I believe you best bet is knowing you get what you pay for usually top people in their field don't give away their skill.

  • It costs $48 per half hour for electrology and $85 for one hour. But, remember I am a expert with many years of training and experience. I can remove lots of hair in a half hour and done perfectly hitting the target without damaging the skin.

I do laser hair removal as well.

  • thank you now i need to look for a place in PA

  • Where are you located I suffer from PCOS and I'm so sick of this hair growing on my face, I t is driving me crazy, Im in the tampabay area.

  • I am in Seminole and have dealt with women with PSOS for many years. I highly suggest letting see exactly what is so, I can educate you in every detail on what is the best way to rid the problem. Usually with PCOS women I rid them of it and thru the years they come back to keep it gone. My phone number is 727-398-4187. There is no charge to do a consulation and the information you will receive is well worth your time. I have been treating PCOS since 1993.

  • what is skin tags?

  • like permantent sorta out grothes of like pimplely re skin from like rubing from skin or some clothes

  • wow..this looks primitive, slow, tedious and PAINFUL, poor pamela

  • Pamela loves the service and has been a client for awhile. She wants it so much that she volunteered to be filmed to get free service. Pamela has blond thick facial hair and electrology is her only true cure and now almost hairless. So if you were to speak to her she would say Thank-God it is gone.

  • this lady is SOOO annoying

  • model is clearly in pain

  • No she wasn't she was nervous being filmed in a film studio...and we had seconds to knock out what they wanted...clips for twenty seconds each

  • I have been doing electrolysis on clients for 13yrs now (started at 24). I am a bit shocked by this video. This is very old school equipment. And does not represent the Modern Electrologist. I NEVER have a client numb their face, EVER! Using the Apilus machine is so great, the treatments are completely tolerable and the results are phenomenal.

  • hi there, I need electroysis on my chin and

lip area, but I have no idea how to choose

a salon or what questions to ask.

I would really appreciate advice from a

professional. Also, do home devices work?? I live in NYC. Thank you. Mary

  • I go to one in the Bronx. She is very good and is very excellent at making you feel well at home. If you want the link to the website, I would be more than glad to help you! I am also in process of doing my lip and chin.

Oh, and beforehand - she charges $50 for a 30 minute treatment for both lip and chin =)

  • Check out and find a Clinical and Medical Electrologist with many years of service. Then you will have the right person. No the home machines do not work...all they remove is your money

  • do you know any good places in the los angeles area for electrolysis? anywhere professional? please let me know. thanks!

  • As a pro I will not get use the interenet to attack and degrade my competition like some people do. My experience of many years, education and top training in the country provides my clients with the best and most professional service in the industry. If my client wants to be numb and sees their doc for numbing agent I have no problem with that... Apilus machine is one of many pieces of equipment I own and use. The Gentronics machine was used for demo.

  • @spadiva70 is it permanent removel?

  • @spadiva70 Apilus is the bomb i have used it all over my face and body and i look like a doll. It saved my self esteem :)

  • @zjaz10 Hay, does it really work? I want some doing, but I'm worried that it will be very expensive. I am quite blonde so laser removal doesn't work :(

  • @lauraberry18 Yes electrolysis works great! You will need to have a good electrologist work on you though. I suggest you google "Hairtell" and you will find a lot of information on electrolysis. Yes it can be costly depending on how many sessions you need, it takes time, but it is the only guaranteed technique for hair removal and it is permanent. I had laser done and it caused me a lot of problems, i actually had more hair growth with laser, which was very distressing.
