  • To all douchebags...This is a good workout BECAUSE your arms and body shake...energizing all of the stabilizing muscles, not just isolating some. This contributes to whole-body functional strength, not just big muscles.

  • It's pushups/flys/etc... But you're using your stabilization muscles as well. It's the difference between functional muscle and beach muscle, like most of you commenters =)

  • you can also get a bench... yeah, you can put your hands on the sides and do EVERYTHING you see here, for less money. If you want it to wobble like that, put roller blades on your hands and try it

  • Unless someone is already fairly strong, this work out with this equipment is absolutely sure to injure. This is way to easy to lose control of. Its safer the to limit your motions, even using some free dumbells is safer.

  • Inspite of what a few people say this workout is not bullshit. It's actually really demanding and can be used to build some great strength especially when you start training with a backpack on for extra resistance. However the price of this product is bullshit. The results you get are worth it but I wouldn't buy something that you can tell has a massive markup.

  • Need to get used to it by mastering easier exercises first. Also reduce resistance by moving feet so body is more upright. The more horizontal your body is the harder it is. Luckilly not had any face plants yet!!!

  • Yeah rings are very similar  but there are a couple of main differences. These are much more compact and will fit in your pocket. It is also much easier to move from one exercise to another cos only one buckle to adjust. so its great for super sets, peripherals circuits etc. Also because it is one continuous strap it requires greater bilateral control because if weight is not evenly distributed the handles will move. The Slinggym is an AWESOME bit of kit.

  • Yeah, awesome if you take a drill, expansion bits, and I-screws with you everywhere you go, so that you can hook the damned rings to the ceiling. What if there is nothing to attach the straps to?

    It is one strap of webbing and you simply hang it over something that will take your bodyweight. Personally dont use it in the house because prefer training outdoors and I hang it from trees, rafter in garage, goal posts or any other equipment in the local park. Great piece of kit recommend it 100%

This type of training is easilly adaptable, you can change the resistance by simply moving your feet so your more upright and therefore less weight. So even someone like you would manage it (I think) Also more chance of ijury using free weights.

  • Too many ppl talking loud and saying nothing, haha. No point in critisizing just cause it isn't your way. To me, BW is the way to go as a martial artist--- For ppl who want more functional strength-- these are badazz. BW engages more muscle fibers--- resulting in SERIOUS stabilization. I'm just starting but these kind of exersizes are way more demanding and challenging. Could care less if i can't bench 400 pounds over my head. If yer 400 and over the edge of a cliff, you on yer own, lol

  • Appreciate your comment but title of the video is not 'Best Chest ISOLATION workout'. These exercises are incredibe demanding. You are right obviously this is less effective for isolation work that is because you are not aiming to isolate ny specific muscle . Insted the aim is to have a number of joints working together and therefore recruit more musculature due to having to stabilise th body.

  • its more efficient to use dumbells vs body weight because it will isolate the pectoral muscles and weight can be varied while keep the same amount of intensity.

  • well the video says chest workout meaning people search this wanting to get a larger or leaner chest as efficient as possible and isolations is how you do that, This exercise forces work on to many other muscles that lighten the load on the chest. I didnt realy open this up for discussion. Dumbell press-ups are what any educated physical trainer will have you do to gain pec muscle mass or lean your pecs. I am not saying this excersise isnt good im just saying Its not the "best" chest workout.

  • In these exercises the muscle isnt very isolated. And you will gain bigger muscles if you isolate the muscle, thats true.

    But there are reasons to not isolate the muscle aswell. So i will have to say that you should chose either this training or training with dumbells depending on what results you want.
