This reminds me of when my brother was in the army. I was so young when he got deployed to Iraq that I didn't grasp what he must've been going through. Songs like this help me see how it must've been for him.
and no its not making an argument for or against war like duge15 said its simply about an expeeience pne person had that made them closed up and scared coming home and his father trying to get through to why hes so different and upset and why he seems so empty. he cracks and explains
I like the fact that this song doesn't make a direct argument for or against the war. It makes light of a reality of war, the individual experience as a soldier returning home. That reality is in any war, whether the war is just or unjust.
The Bass riff should have gone on for longer!
