@hgostos I can't recall what was in there... this guitar has been disassembled since. I think that it was a .022 paper in oil Vitamin Q cap - which is NOT a typical strat cap...
Wow, you've nailed the essence of the vintage fender Strat sound. That neck pickup is sensational, the others are up there as well. Any recommendations on a pickup replacement to get close to your bridge and neck pickup sound?. What would be the Klein equivalent of a 66 Fender Duo-Sonic? Thanks for the post!
@POGFROGULPOP Thanks! I don't know if Klein has anything quite like those WBs... You might just try and get your hands on a vintage '60s Mustang/Musicmaster/Duo Sonic pickup and either try it as-is or have it rewound. They go relatively cheaply on eBay.
Hey - Thanks! I'd never heard of Chris Klein until I stopped over to Strat-talk. I listened to a few clips of the S-5 and figured they'd sound great w/ my neck and bridge pup. I'm more than pleasantly surprised. Thanks again for the comment.
i have never enjoyed myself so much just listening to plain guitar. i am in love with your guitar and your playing!

Are the Klein s-5 pickups the actual Big Dipper ones or are they just a soundalike? I've heard different. Nice sound!

@wainerkorven They're wired to sound just like dippers :)

@wainerkorven They're similar in that the sound mid-scooped. The Big Dippers are very mid-scooped.
