Murderdolls are probably bit of a mix there. They definitely had the horror element. Maybe it's not necessarily 'punk' for the first record and it's definitely not for the second. They are more rock 'n' roll. Wednesday 13 on his own had punk influences from the start but that wavered a bit. His band Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 was DEFINITELY horror-punk. I guess there is a thin line between Horror-punk and what can be considered more death rock. What the fuck does it matter anyway?

Plus Post-punk and horrorpunk came out around the same time a lot of these newer bands probably have influences from both genres. Like th band Anti-World, theyre influenced by a lot of horrorpunk and post-punk/deathrock/goth rock. And yah, defiantely hard to be origional, most of these bands sound like misfits knock-offs. Doesnt sound bad, just not origional
