I used to see these come over the house, every now and then, usually 2 of them together. They'd scare the SHIT out of me, if I had my back turned away from the direction they were coming from. They were awesome to watch and it sucks they aren't in use anymore.
Juzz, lots of activity. Second biggest defence budget in the world, on a relatively small island. A lot of Army, Navy (to the West) and RAF metal in the skies.
Tell me this....because the UK is so small and is littered with bases...IS IT NOT unusual to see alot of military hardware in the skies on a regular basis?
Because here in Aus...it's very rare to see anything like this....within a certain range of the bases...and even then there seems to be low activity.
Where i live in North Yorkshire, we have alot of military types, from helicopters to fighters. Not sure about other places i live at the intersection for one of the Low Level routes.
was this literally in the middle of nowhere cause i thought they arent aloud to travel this fast over mainland england at this altitude cause of noice pollution etc ( i live in between 2 RAF bases ) never seen any fighter pass at this speed
