@MyLittleFive -The version I'm hearing is piano plus electric drums. Does Myleene Klass play the piano and also put on the drum track? I wonder if it is the uploader AmberDarke who has added the drums??
I loved that - thank you. Hearing Moonlight Sonata in the 2007 version inspired me to try and learn it myself on the piano. The video was superb especially the ending - very dramatic and all the best bits of the movie have been used. I think I would prefer MS on piano and somewhat more slowly as Anne played it.
Wow! This was perfect :) The decision to end the video with Anne looking at the camera couldn't have been better. It gave me shivers. And I also like how you started and ended the video with Anne playing the piano. It brought everything full circle very nicely. Well done!
This remix of Moonlight Sonata is really nice, actually, it surprised me! I like how you expressed the suspense and pathos of the book and movie with the clips and quickening beat! Wonderful.
yeah, great video! Loved this movie and Sally Hawkins shines as usual!! But the music is too fast for my taste. I prefer Evelyne Dubourg's version best. simply stunning to listen too!
this remix brings everything to the piece which I have always missed 1 the speed much faster which makes it's so much more alive then violin give it much more color and even the bass beat is a nice touch
Nah, he was an innovator. I think he would have loved to "hear" other people's interpretations of his works. But I know that as well as you know he would die. Not at all; as neither of us knew him. :-)
:-D There's no way for either of us to know how he would feel about someone changing the arraingment. Besides, what one person may consider innovative and what another may consider innovative, could be two different things all together. Differences of opinion; one of the many things that make the world go round. :-) We can agree to disagree.
Well, my point is that this whole piece feels... Well, too commercial. It's not like they actually altered the music enough to make it different, or added much to it. It feels like they did it just so they could draw in the younger crowd while still keeping up the classy appearence of the show.
If by "they" you mean the person who posted the video, maybe they did use this "commercial" version to draw in a younger crowd. Nothing wrong with that. As for it being in the movie? No. Granted, I've not watched all the credits so maybe they stuck it on at the end, but I doubt it. I do own the movie and have watched it at least 5 times; probably more! LOL
As for the movie itself, it's a fair adaptation of the book. It is only feature length, so some liberty was taken, but not bad :)
wow, i was expecting to hate the remix, but i really liked it! i even liked it with the video. my only suggestion would have been to start the piano at the beginning much slower...more like it's supposed to be played. then kick it up a few notches with the drum machine.
i was with you till the drum machine kicked in. nice editing work.
im not against remixes, love'em actually. and the speed isnt really the problem here. classical pieces can be played interpretively, surely. yet, there is something about the loneliness of the piece that comes through with the lone piano and gets lost in the drum machine.
Your video is realy wonderful! Montage is great. I love this film. When I saw the moments from your clip, I was going through emotion again. But I realy don't like this "remix" of Beethoven. Thank you and good luck. :)
gr8t job luving both moonlight sonata and persation they really do go togerther who whould have thought!!! This is going on my fav list n ill give it a 5 a u!!!
When I was growing up I learned to play Moonlight Sonata(it is still my fav piece to play), and it fit so perfectly with this, the build up was incredible. Thanks for making this!
This is perfection! Brilliant editing, amazing music choice and my all time fav.adaptation:) That's all I need:) lol Thank you! 5/5 and goes to my faves:)
Isfanan sent me this video..it's just wonderful...it's very difficult to set a vid to a classical piece of music but you did a wonderful job conveying Anne playing the piano imagining how she would like things to turn out with Captain Wentworth...very subtly done...and a moving ending...absolutely gorgeous video 5/5 and gone to my faves...I'll be watching more of your stuff from now on.
wow love this arrangement of this song!! do you know who created it? this song has always been one of my faves and I love how you edited the clips to fit! great work!
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment! The music chose itself as soon as I saw Anne playing it while Wentworth watched her, unseen but felt. It's a wonderful scene.
Although I didn't like the begged-for kiss, I agree it is a fresh take on the story. The editing is well done -- and Beethoven's Sonata, the passion bubbling under the calm, rhythmic surface, is a great choice!
I don't see any mention in her wiki of her ability to do remixes with electric drums (search: wiki Myleene_Klass). Are those added by you AmberDarke?

Great, and now a hip hop version of it. Could not get worse. Or what about Jane Austen in a Bronx slang version and played by drug addicts? ;-)
