I loved that - thank you. Hearing Moonlight Sonata in the 2007 version inspired me to try and learn it myself on the piano. The video was superb especially the ending - very dramatic and all the best bits of the movie have been used. I think I would prefer MS on piano and somewhat more slowly as Anne played it.

this remix brings everything to the piece which I have always missed 1 the speed much faster which makes it's so much more alive then violin give it much more color and even the bass beat is a nice touch

Nah, he was an innovator. I think he would have loved to "hear" other people's interpretations of his works. But I know that as well as you know he would die. Not at all; as neither of us knew him. :-)

Well, my point is that this whole piece feels... Well, too commercial. It's not like they actually altered the music enough to make it different, or added much to it. It feels like they did it just so they could draw in the younger crowd while still keeping up the classy appearence of the show.

If by "they" you mean the person who posted the video, maybe they did use this "commercial" version to draw in a younger crowd. Nothing wrong with that. As for it being in the movie? No. Granted, I've not watched all the credits so maybe they stuck it on at the end, but I doubt it. I do own the movie and have watched it at least 5 times; probably more! LOL

As for the movie itself, it's a fair adaptation of the book. It is only feature length, so some liberty was taken, but not bad :)

wow, i was expecting to hate the remix, but i really liked it! i even liked it with the video. my only suggestion would have been to start the piano at the beginning much slower...more like it's supposed to be played. then kick it up a few notches with the drum machine.

im not against remixes, love'em actually. and the speed isnt really the problem here. classical pieces can be played interpretively, surely.  yet, there is something about the loneliness of the piece that comes through with the lone piano and gets lost in the drum machine.

Isfanan sent me this video..it's just wonderful...it's very difficult to set a vid to a classical piece of music but you did a wonderful job conveying Anne playing the piano imagining how she would like things to turn out with Captain Wentworth...very subtly done...and a moving ending...absolutely gorgeous video 5/5 and gone to my faves...I'll be watching more of your stuff from now on.
