  • Daniel Craig is the man!!

  • A trailer for the John Maybury directed story of Francis Bacon's life. Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon

    Vásquez Rocca, Adolfo, "Francis Bacon; la deriva del yo y el desgarro de la carne". Francis Bacon; The Drift of I and the tear apart of the flesh (VÁSQUEZ ROCCA, Adolfo) - Vol. 18 , 2006, en Arte, Individuo y Sociedad, Facultad de Bellas Artes, UNIVERSIDAD COMPLUTENSE DE MADRID. En versión impresa pp. 151-164;

  • Bacon is Britain's best. Love him.

  • watch this on indiemoviesonline its free

I really liked this movie and I think I have to research into Francis Bacon a little more to understand it even better. The acting was really outstanding

  • Song sounds like Al Bowlly, not sure what the name is though

  • What's the song name?

  • i love this movie!

  • why does it look it was made in the early 80s/late 70s?

  • I really expected so much more from this movie, well it was good I suppose. It's just that those random little bits that showed Derek Jacobi clicking a light on and off or that man covered in blood just really baffled me. Sure say I don't get it because I'm not deep but it just took me out of a movie with a perfectly good story. On the other hand the actingn itself was phenomenal, Tilda Swinton and Derek Jacobi were absolutely brilliant.

  • @gialla111 Do you know Francis Bacon's work? A lot of the imagery in the movie is inspired by it and would help explain things. He used the dangling light bulb motif in many of his paintings. Same goes for the man covered in blood and even the set for the talk show that appears near the beginning of the trailer. It's all from Bacon's work.

  • @retread01 No, but now that you mention it I probably should do a little research on Francis Bacon if it would help me understand the story better.

  • I think this is one of Tilda Swinton's best performances. She is almost unrecognizable as Muriel Belcher. It's interesting to note, too, that the filmmakers couldn't secure the rights to use actual images of Bacon's paintings. So you've got a movie about a painter without any of his actual paintings in it. And it still works!

  • If you love Francis Bacon's art, this u must c.

  • Wow that was disturbing in a way....

  • its available to watch instantly on netflix, if you have it. Its in my instant queue, I think i'll watch it now.

  • To Okkasa. Try Amazon, and if they haven´t got it, - try Joes Classics.

Lorrainejames: Yes! The poor thief is completely unprepared and rather unsophisticated. The scenes where he brings in his cockney-mafioso-friends are really rather funny, though tragic for him.

    Jacobi is brilliant.

He had a very interesting period playing Bacon, and he came to understand more about his art, - but he wouldn´t let anyone like him into his life, he said.

  • wher i can bay this movies

  • It's hard to find if you want to buy it, but go to an independent video store and rent it. They may have only one copy in store. If you do buy it online, it'll cost you too much money for a DVD that barely has a menu. In fact, the movie starts when you put it in the player and has one long chapter, so for the amount of money it costs, you'd be getting ripped off. It's still very good, I think.

  • que cancion suena en el segundo 14?

no reconosco la voz pero la canion no recuerdo el nombre algien digamela porfavor

  • anybody know where to watch online??

  • Is there anywhere i can watch this online by any chance?

    The trailer looks so good!

  • wow...this looks...good, but strange as well...

imma go find it in my local video store. =3

  • horrible olle

  • what's the song playing during the trailer?

  • Does anyone know a website I can watch this on?

  • Now I have seen the whole movie.Brilliant, - but sickening. It must have been something of an ordeal playing such a destructive, twisted character.

  • You feel sorry for the thief eventually, as twisted as Frances Bacon is (who reminds me of someone I've cut out of my life).

  • THAT DANIEL CRAIG ID HAVE HIM ANY DAY!

  • I second that!

  • Daniel Craig's Hot!!

  • it looks terffying stuff same it did not win any bafats.

  • i think there are two dvds of the film. do they have extra feautres??? also try amazon as well.

  • "Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my

sham friends" ~ I love that quote!

  • I´ve already seen this video

    I´d like see it again
