  • There is science that shows water retains memory. But, ultimately, novelty should be accepted, not according to an existing theory or even "law" (laws can be imcomplete), but on empirical evidence. I've had many personal experiences that showed me homeopathy is real. It's a shame that the skeptic is not open to investigating someone else's first hand experience because of their own blind allegence to dogma. My experiences were many and astoundingly impressive.

  • Homeopathy is a scam industry. Front to back. Left to right. Inside out.

Dissolving a substance that has no value to begin with, to a point where there is nothing left of the "ingredient", and then using "water's memory" as an excuse that completely contradicts science, is completely absurd !

Homeopathy takes advantage of the fact that people easily believe in things. Too many people don't think logical and rational. Plus homeopathy goes on completely unchecked by governments. We must STOP it !

  • wjhopper The real cause is not the germ but our susceptability to it.The fact that someone has returning infections to the same bug confirms this. Homeopathy treats this weakness very well. RE: "just water".The succussion of water and substance will structure the water in a particular way, impregnating the water with information of that substance. Each dilution amplifies this information. This info is the mechanism not the "smallness of the amount of substance". I was skeptical but no longer.

  • 3:08 "Conventional medicine doesn't treat the cause....just the symptoms." Really? What about antibiotics? Which have saved countless more people than you could ever claim with homeopathy. And when was the last time a homeopathic remedy fixed a broken bone, a tumor or a cataract?

And another thing, if water has a memory of which molecules it rubbed against, why not just drink tap water?

  • Homeopathy is a complete different approach to curing from the "mainstream" way so I understand why it's so controversial.

However it's so irritating how people seem to have the wrong idea about it. Homeopathy has NOTHING to do with religion or strange rituals!!!

  • @xSeraphyk actually, it has a lot to do with religion and strange rituals. All of those things are one big pile of crap.

  • "Maybe no time in the history of mankind have people been so sick." Yes, because plague, smallpox, cholera, polio, yellow fever etc never happened.

  • This is terrible. Homeopathy and its advocates make me really angry. Seriously, you guys and the bloody religious twits really get in the way of smart people making some proper progress.

  • @wawei67 There are no scientific peer-reviewed studies that showed that homeopathic medicine does anything other than being a giant placebo.

If you're going to play the giant "medical community conspiracy against homeopathic medicine" card, then we're done here.

  • @DeadFishFactory

you're lying--but since you are parrtoing dogma you found on the net I'll give you a second chance--

go to HuffingtonPost and read the article Teh Disinformation Campaign Against Homeopathy (at the end are listed many studies as well as the Lancet article that shows how you guys lie about homeopathic perr-reviewed studies etc)

There are many more good and scientific things about homeopathy on there too. Good luck coming up with more conspiracies against the evidence

  • @wawei67 Why are you sending me to news articles? News articles don't conduct controlled studies. Give me some peer-reviewed articles (from PubMed, for example) that show that homeopathic medicine cures anything better than a placebo or chance would.

And you're playing the medical community conspiracy card, in which case, we're done here.

  • @DeadFishFactory

You peoel are TRULY fucking retarded lol!!! Sorry, just had to let that out haha

At the end of the srticle is alot of click-on studies etc etc . When you find the articles you'll 'see' the conspiracy for what it is. Nice hissy fit you guys always throw lol so you don't have to expose yourself to the research.

  • @nosadloss

homeopathy is fantastic--it is the only medicine I used for many injuries over the last 5 years. Healed. If it's the "placebo" then long live placebo haha.

  • @FiverBeyond

Most of this is from basic hygeine being introduced--it was happening in the west BEFORE the intro of pharma medicines.. No use relying on anti-biotics and vaccines if they're going to bring about super diseases in future/now?

  • @719faheem

    I've used it.

  • Overall, I like it a lot. I think it might be helpful to include some of the information written on the page in the video.

  • @DeadFishFactory chemo in adult malignancies. The trials that were analyzed were performed for 15 years on the largest groups. Study conclusions were:

The 5-yr survival rate in Australia was 2.3%

The 5-yr survival rate in the US was 2.1%

Survival rates for lung cancer increased by TWO MONTHS in the past 20 years

An overall survival benefit of less than 5% had been achieved in the treatment of breast, colon and head and neck cancers

    (2)

  • @DeadFishFactory The traditional method of treating cancer with chemo devoid of any alt or comp med care was studied in the British J. of Clinical Oncology (12/2004) in the study "The Contribution of Cytotoxic Chemotherapy to 5-Year Survival in Adult Malignancies". The study authors were 1 med oncologist and 2 radiation oncologists. They analyzed the results of all randomized clinical trials performed in the US and Australia that reported a significant increase in 5-yr survival due to

    (1)

  • People interested in the successes of treating cancer homeopathically will find case studies at the web site of the Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Foundation. You will find cured cases of brain tumors and other cancers by searching "case studies".

Columbia University developed its Integrative Program for Children with Cancer in collaboration with Banerji.

Banerji treats cancer patients in 72 countries with 70% benefit.

  • wow, i have never seen so much bullshit (dangerous bullshit) in my fucking life. homeopathy is a scam, period, the people selling their "medicine" (goddamn water) deserve to be locked up for medical fraud

  • watch tim minchin"s "storm" video

  • "The Medical system... is not really open to new approaches" 4.05

This is demonstrably false. One weekly scan of the number of papers published in the BMJ should do it.

  • Dr. Luc Montagnier, the French virologist who won the Nobel Prize in 2008 for discovering the AIDS virus, has surprised the scientific community with his strong support for homeopathic medicine.

In a remarkable interview published in Science magazine of December 24, 2010, (1) Professor Luc Montagnier, has expressed support for the often maligned and misunderstood medical specialty of homeopathic medicine

  • Can you direct me to peer reviewed homeopathic studies please.

  • @jagara1 If you go to the web site of the National Center for Homeopathy and look under "articles" and then "research", you will find a few of them. There are 100's of studies published in 82 respected, peer-reviewed, national and international journals such as The Lancet, British Journal of Pharmacology, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Thrombosis Research, Cancer, Int'l Journal of Oncology and Archives of Emergency Medicine.

  • @den151redbank Thank you :)

A lot of what I have heard is hear-say so it will be good to read some studies.

  • ilike it

  • The thing is that high blood pressure medication actually works and prevents high blood pressure.

  • I can make you 5 liter 'homeopathic water' for only $5!

  • @189643478 I'll make 5 liters of homeopathic water for $2.50! :)

  • Here are the percentages of patients showing clinical improvement after homeopathic treatment for the following conditions:

Childhood asthma = 89% of patients improved

    Crohn's disease = 76% improved

    Eczema = 82% improved

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome = 72% improved

    Rheumatoid arthritis = 70% improved

    Depression = 71% improved

And this was achieved safely without creating iatrogenic diseases ("side effects") and inexpensively. Homeopathy is also green.

    (6)

  • @den151redbank In the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital study, they did not have a control group, making it as unscientific as you can get. They could have done the exact same thing with tap water and got a similar result, which is exactly why they did not have a control group as it would have demonstrated what bullshit homeopathy is. Do not underestimate the power of placebo.

  • I've used h'pathy for many years for serious problems like chronic insomnia, acute problems like bronchitis, poison ivy and warts and injuries to skin and nerves. It's been so successful and so effective that it is my primary form of medicine.

My friends and family have seen what it's done for me and tried it. They were so pleased they told their friends and families.

I hope anyone with unresolved health issues will investigate h'pathy and give it a try. I doubt they will be disappointed.

  • H'pathy is the second most used system of medicine (not the second most used alt med) in the world today because it's safe, effective, inexpensive and green. Its use grows at 10% + around the world every year for these reasons.

It's embedded in the nat'l health programs of countries like England and Switzerland. France was voted # 1 in health care by WHO. Most French pharmacists recommend it for pregnant women; 70% of French doctors consider it effective; 40% of French people use it.

    (2)

  • Homeopathy does not just work, it works beautifully and safely.

100's of studies published in 82 peer-reviewed nat'l and int'l journals prove it works to produce significant and sometimes substantial health benefits. For some of them see the web sites of national center for homeopathy, avilian co uk and extraordinarymedicine.

Studies prove it's safe for infants, children, nursing mothers and pregnant women. See EECH study, 2009, and Reilly, 2005.

    (1)

  • @den151redbank I've no doubt that it's safe for infants, children, nursing mothers and pregnant women since it seems to consist of sugar pills or water. I'm just not convinced it's going to be effective as a cure.

  • @Smithpolly Readers here with a genuine interest in homeopathy will find many cured case records involving a wide variety of health issues from brain tumors to Grave's disease to type 2 diabetes to warts to acute illnesses by googling "homeopathy cured cases", pbhrfindia (org) and h'pathy (com). They will see the case notes, descriptions of the remedies used, lab reports, CT scans, etc., plus descriptions of the patients' progress.

    Cheers!

  • @den151redbank Those with a genuine interest in homeopath should not only look for cured case records but also non cured case records.

  • @Smithpolly No system of medicine is capable of curing or guarantees to cure every patient of every condition. Example: doctors have been prescribing statin drugs to lower cholesterol, but a recent study of 4,000,000 Swedish people using them shows that they provide "no benefit" whatsoever. What they do do is create serious and life-threatening conditions -- strokes and heart attacks -- in the people who use them. (Journal of Negative Results in BioMedicine, May 24, 2011; 10:6). (1)

  • @den151redbank I'm well aware the way that the medical and pharmaceutical industry has many, many flaws. That doesn't mean that homeopathy works.

  • @Smithpolly By all means, if you don't like homeopathy, don't use it!

  • OTH, there are large studies showing the benefits of homeopathic treatmt.

Example: Patients who use h'pathy are likely to improve considerably & these effects persist for as long as 8 years. BioMedCentral, 1471-2458/8/413. Witt, et al., 2008.

A study of 6,500 patients at Bristol H'pathy Hosp., shows that 70% of patients reported complete cure or significant improvement. Many of these patients previously rec'd con meds and failed to respond or couldn't tolerate meds.

    (2)

  • This study can be seen at the site of the British Homeopathic organization.

Another study with 3,981 patients concludes: "Patient and physician assessments of disease severity and quality of life consistently demonstrated substantial improvement following homeopathic treatment." Witt, et al., 2005

    (3)

  • @den151redbank Another site says that this was "an uncontrolled observational study in which patients were allowed to keep taking medicines at the same time." Can you tell me if this is true or not?

  • @Smithpolly You don't indicate which study you are talking about, but no study ON any type of medicine ever involves taking different meds AT THE SAME TIME.

  • @den151redbank I'm referring to the Bristol H'pathy Hosp study that you mentioned. Are you saying that the patients in this study weren't on any medication.

  • @Smithpolly Of course the patients in The Bristol H'pathy Hosp. study were taking medicine -- homeopathics prescribed for them, and nothing else. As I noted, they had previously used con med and failed to respond or couldn't tolerate con med. The best results were in childhood eczema, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, IBS, menopausal disorders and migraine. This study followed 6,500 patients over 23,000 visits over a course of six years. It can also be seen at

    (4)

  • @Smithpolly

the web site of Faculty of Homeopathy (org).

Similar patient-reported outcomes have been reported from the UK's other four NHS homeopathic hospitals.

    (5)

  • @den151redbank Can I ask if have you looked at any of websites that criticise how this "study" was done or do you only take information from sites that are pro homeopathy?

  • @Smithpolly This is a high quality study. Its methodology was appropriate and its conclusions are accurate. Having dealt with "skeptics" for quite a while now I am fully aware of the "skeptic" platform. That is:

All of the studies showing h'pathy works (100's of them -- in vitro, in vivo, on animals, plants and people) no matter that they're published in 82 respected, peer-reviewed nat'l & int'l journals are "flawed".

All homeopaths are scam artists or deluded.

    (7)

  • @Smithpolly

All homeopathic patients (there are millions of us since h'pathy is the second most used system of medicine --not the second most used alternative sys of med -- in the world are either gullible or liars. (BTW, con med is the third most used sys of med in the world.)

I've used h'pathy with such great success AND safely AND inexpensively for so many years that I've chosen it as my primary med.

    (8)

  • @Smithpolly My friends, family and neighbors have seen what it's done for me and tried it. They were as satisfied as I am.

My advice: If you don't like the idea of h'pathy -- clearly you've never tried it -- keep using what you've been using.

  • @den151redbank My advice, if you are encouraging people to use homeopathy, you should be prepared to look at all the information available on it, not just the sources that you know will agree with what you already think.

  • @Smithpolly The facts are in favor of homeopathy, like it or not.

  • @den151redbank Like it or not? That's a bit rich given that you are determined to only look at "evidence" that you like.

  • @den151redbank Unfortunately the facts are not in favour of homeopathy.

  • @Smithpolly The material I posted is from the study itself, not from a "site".

  • @den151redbank

Can you link me a single legitimate journal article in which homeopathy did anything better than a placebo. I will concede that homeopathy could cure 1 condition very effectively and that condition is dehydration.

I'm interested to see what is so convincing about homeopathy apart from anecdotal evidence.

  • @wowsdrawkcab You and dirtyroot really should read Dana Ullman's current article on Huffington Post "The Disinformation Campaign Against Homeopathy". Also see the site extraordinarymedicine org.

  • @den151redbank

I read that and... I'd prefer a scientific study study showing that it works. That article can be considered an opinion piece. If homeopathy performs constantly better than anything than conventional treatment I'd be the first to embrace it. The problem is that it isn't.

  • Comment removed

  • Thankyou for this wise posting. In January 1999 I was declared terminally ill with type three renal cell carcinoma in situ. Homoeopathy was central to my recovery. I see the naysayers are present on this, but one day homoeopathy will be the mainstream medicine. It has already grown to be the second most widespread medical modality (second to traditional Chinese medicine not conventional medicine) on word of mouth alone and will continue to grow because people like it and it works.

  • @oldsyphilitic Did you use any other treatments besides homeopathy?

  • @oldsyphilitic im guessing you had some other type of treatment.........

  • @QuantumOverlord I'd rather take placebo, than FDA approved poison.

Just wondering why person like you, who doesn't believe in "placebo" still looking at homeopatic videos?

  • Homeopathic remedy does work and the ppl who says it does not is not using it right! You ppl need to wake up and realize what you are putting into your body with prescription drugs!!! WAKE UP!!!

  • @voltsf2 For your infomation, I have only twice in my whole life taken prescripton drugs, both times were when I was a very small child, and Both times my life was saved by them. I am about as awake as it is possible to be. You dont take medicine unless you need it, and you dont take bullshit either.

  • @voltsf2 Not using it right? What? We need to dilute it even more? Yeah, that makes sense. Fuckin moron.

  • @DrBuzz0 no you need to use it appropriatly 'fucking moron'. if you take a paracetamol for a broken arm and it doesnt heal it, is that medicine 'bullshit'?

  • @mr420B Homeopathy does not work.

  • @QuantumOverlord very productive- if you dont like it then dont use it, simple as, no ones forcing you to use it fucking prick

  • @mr420B "fucking prick", obviously you have to resort to insulting me, obviously.

Anyway anyone using it imo is harmful, as far as Im concerned, its basically good money down the toilet which in this climate we could do with. And All I said, was simply "It doesnt work", Which it doesnt!

    Teacher: 2+2 = 4

You: NO!!!! ITS 5 YOU FUCKING PRICK

  • @voltsf2 Sigh, No It doesnt work. The people that say it does need to wake up. There is not 1 single molecule of the substance left. Sheesh, Every accredited randomised control trial has proved homeopathy, nothing beyond the placebo.

  • @voltsf2 yeah sure it works...there are no active ingredients in homeopathic "medicine" stop your bullshit.

  • @voltsf2 How can you use it incorrectly?

  • @voltsf2 For god's sake, I get it. My mother is pretty hardcore in homeopathy and all alternative medicine for that matter. She earns a living with it. But she can't answer any of my my questions about it. Perhaps you guys can :). 1. The one who did the initial experiment that water would have memory could never redo it when other objective scientists were around, and it has never been objectively repeated. Why? If someone has redone it, i would like to see the source.

  • @Realist201 second question: 2. The water on this earth is a constant. It's been around for 4 billion years!! every molecule of it flows to pretty much all corners of the earth. So it has been in touch with an amazing amount of substances. To put it simple: What happened tot the energetic value of (for example) all the poo that has been in the water? is it gone? how? can you filter it out? do you filter it out? how do you filter the energy out of the water to make it clean again? Do you care?

  • @Realist201 To go further on my last question. Shouldn't we be under constant influence of all these kinds of energy that are in the water? Do you ask these questions to yourself? because denying the observed to preserve believe is what i call "dogma". "Science adjusts it's views based on what's observed. Faith is the denial of observation, so that believe can be preserved". Are you willing to change your mind if proven wrong? if not, don't answer. It's no use.

  • @voltsf2 you are taking water with homeopathy, they dilute the chemicals (the more the better they say) so much that you would not even have a single molecule in the acual water you are drinking. you antiscience assholes are fucking morons and will be responsible for countless deaths if people start drinking water for illnesses

  • @QuantumOverlord It does to me.

  • I don't unerstand why sceptics even here? They have choice to use obamare and see for themselves (if its not too late)

I had experience with both homeopathy and alopathy. Luckily, I got off on time from their poisoning me and now I'm healthy and happy. Would like to become homeopathic doctor myself.

  • H'pathy is also effective in treating plant diseases. Anyone interested in more information can see the Bandershot/Kaviraj videos here on U Tube or google "agro-homeopathy".

Homeopathy - Proven Safe and Efficacious - Inexpensive to Boot!

  • @den151redbank PLANT HOMEOPATHY! WHat next Homeopathy for rocks!!!!!! I bet you get your info from bandershot, who seems to think that 1 Lightbulb has the same energy as 10, Clathrates disobey the 2nd law of thermodynamics and Homeopathy is radioactive!

  • @QuantumOverlord

The level of toxins people and all living things are exposed to in today's world is overwhelming. To name a few, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and inorganic fertilizers cause diseases like myeloid leukemia, cancer, Parkinson's, birth defects and infertility in men. If you doubt it, read "Poison in the Grass". Golf course keepers are well known to have an exceptionally high cancer rate because they are exposed to these chemicals in the course of their jobs.

    (1)

  • @QuantumOverlord

Homeopathy comes to the rescue once again by offering a way to treat plant diseases without the dangers of chemical toxins. The toxins from lawn chemicals have poisoned our watersheds and rivers and caused mutations and death in marine life. Think about what they are doing to you (even if you aren't aware of it).

As I said, homeopathy comes to the fore in yet another way to enhance life.

  • @den151redbank But homeopathy is simply water, it can't do anything. (See Lancet 2005 MetaAnaysis). There is no mechanism that could cause homeopathy to work. And what do you mean by "toxins", all chemicals have toxic effects to some extent even naturally occuring ones like Oxygen. It is well known that oxygen desicrated all early life on Earth due to its high reactivity. I can understand that Lawn chemicals would be dangerous to humans though, but where does homeopathy come into it?

  • Anyone wanting information on cure of diseases like type 2 diabetes can find case records by googling "homeopathy cured cases". Anyone wanting information on homeopathic treatment/cures of brain tumors can see the web site of the Prasanta Banerji Homeopathic Research Foundation and other sites.

H'pathy is successful in treating animals as well. It's been proven in vitro and in vivo in people and animals.

    (2)

  • There are literally 100's of hi-quality studies proving h'pathy works and often to significant or substantial benefit. People wanting to see some of these studies will find them at the web site of the Nat'l Ctr. for Homeopathy, see "articles" then "research". 200 years of clinical experience involving hundreds of millions of people proves h'pathy works and well beyond placebo. This includes curing acute illnesses and serious illnesses like type 2 diabetes and brain tumors.

  • @den151redbank There arnt hundreds of High Quality studies. Of the some 150 published RCTs only about 20 get more than 4/5 on the Cambridge test. To get 4/5 the trials must be double blinded, have a reasonable sample size and a good control group. So we can effectivly bin the 130 other trials that fail to get 4 stars. (In my personal opinion all trials not getting 5/5 should be binned, but methodolgists genenerally agree 4/5 is acceptable)

  • This video lies. Research shows that homeopathy is no more effective that a placebo. Perhaps this is what they mean by "unique".

  • Another great video to see here on You Tube is "Why Celebrities Choose Homeopathy".

  • @den151redbank Who cares about what celebrities do? A lot of them choose Scientology too. Are you one of these who think celebrities have some superior insight because they're on the telly? If there was a video called "Why rational thinking scientist-types choose homeopathy" then I might take a look.

  • LOL! People still fall for this centuries-old Quackery in the 21st Century?!!? Homeopathy gives a bad name to REAL natural medicine. A generation ago children didnt have allergies to peanuts?? MORONIC. (and YIKES @ the eyebrows at 1:48)

  • (Cont) Statistic, one of the main drugs the author cited was wafarin, calling it highly toxic, however we should consider the context this is in. This drug is for treating seriously ill patients who are very close to death, the high probability of side effects (around 0.9-2.7% of cases) are massively outweighed by the fact that this drug can save someone who is critically ill. Since the quacks fail to mention or cite any of this information their numbers are meaningless as there is no context.

  • First off the statistic quoted in the book is totally meaningless, she doesn't mention how many people are saved by medical treatment nor the amount of people that would have died anyway without this treatment and merely passed away as they would have without the treatment. This statistic is like saying 'in 2009 there were 122 aircraft accidents, therefore aircraft are unsafe' However this fails to mention that there are millions of succesful plane journeys every year, it's a totally meaningless

  • How about actually citing the total number treated, percentage success rates, the mortality rates of a patient if they leave a disease untreated or actually undergo treatment.

How about Janeza Podgoršek who took a homeopathic treatment for Malaria, caught it on his trip and subsequently died when he was given additional homeopathic treatments to cure him.

I also love the fact you've cited death by medicine, I'm going to enjoy ripping that one apart.

  • It makes me sad that people actually think this stuff works.

  • How can your body "Heal" High Blood pressure???

Most of cases of hypertension, are geriatric and due to loss of blood vessel elasticity.

  • I don't know why people are arguing about what type of pseudoscience mechanism could be used for homeopathy. The simple fact is the homeopathy can be easily tested using well set up studies. It HAS been tested and there have been no positive effects observed.

Science works by first observing a phenomenon and then trying to find the mechanism by creating a theory and testing it. In homeopathy, there is no phenomenon because it doesn't work.

  • Also What possible mechanism can work for something with not a single molecule of active ingreadients. Note the following theroies are DEBUNKED: Clathrate formation in water (Debunked using 2nd law of thermodynamics and hydrobicity constant), Change in Energy State (Debunked using Energy mass Equlivilance "E=mc^2"), Radioactivity (Debunked by Nuclear physics and Common sence), Electromagnetic waves (Debunked by basic knowledge of electric/magnetic fields and the nature of light)

  • @QuantumOverlord

All you are doing is spreading skeptic spam scripted for skeptic sites to be reposted by individuals like yourself. Example: Millions of people around the world purchase remedies every single day. They know what they pay for them (i.e., about $6 for 80 pellets in the US). Do you think your claims change the facts? I can assure you they don't.

  • @den151redbank I assure you I'm definately not spreading spam, I am acting completely of my own accord. You have no evidence that I am spreading Spam.

In any case, the fact is, it doesnt work. If I said to you 2+2=4 and you said 2+2=5, and then gave some bizare proof like (2*0 +2*0 =5*0 , dividing through by 0 gives 2+3=5), This can be debunked but my point being, the fact is 2+2=4, would you call this sceptic spam designed to disrupt the 2+3=5 argument. The principle is the same.

  • There is no evidence for homeopathy! Except this everyone! A few crakpot trials doesnt prove everything. A Meta Analyses Of metanyalses was conducted in 2005 by the lancet and found No evidence that homeopathy worked (beyond the placebo). Furthermore the Higher Quality the trial the more likely a null effect was found. Interestingly enough out of the 300 or so homeopathy trials out there less than 30 score higher than 4 on the Cambridge test, shows theres alot of shoddy research out there.

  • "Skeptic" opinions have been reduced to ashes once again by this piece of work done at Bhabha Atomic Research Ctr using a medical analyser to study h'pathy objectively. "The data reveals the selective action of h. meds in different potencies especially in Heart Rate Variable (HRV), Blood Flow Variability (BFV) and Morphology Index Variability (MIV)....initial experiments with potentised meds have recorded 50 to 150% increase in the blood flow in affected parts of the body

    (1)

  • @den151redbank

within 30 minutes of the indicated med in (a) variety of patients...".

"Fundamental Research in Homeopathy: Experiments with Sulphur", S. Rao

"H. meds beyond 12th potency do not contain even a single atom or molecule of the medicinal substance. Yet these meds are effective in the treatment of large # of diseases and PARTICULARLY THE ONES THAT ARE CONSIDERED INCURABLE IN MODERN MEDICINE."

    (2)

  • @den151redbank If Homeopathy is shown to be no more effective than a placebo in large trials and slight positive results are shown in small trials then it's pretty obvious that the mean is a placebo, since smaller trials are far more vulnerable to random chance and methodological errors.

However any positive result is a minor positive/slight positive and not one that cures cancer/AIDS/Ebola so it's logical to assume that it can be attributed to chance since the positives are so pathetic.

  • @den151redbank S.Rao failed to cite any of his data, research methods or any of the basic primary facts you need in any peer reviewed article. It was merely a statement with no backing on a back end news site, hardly a convincing or reputable source. If he were a real scientist he would be a laughing stock as searching their research centre or Dr Sreeraj Rao reveals no published articles or anything beyond randomly statements that hold no weight in the scientific community.

  • @den151redbank The point being, I am not "spamming", I am stating the facts (with evidence, see the lancet research I posted in a previous comment).

  • @den151redbank "Five large meta-analyses of homoeopathy trials have

been done. All have had the same result: after excluding

methodologically inadequate trials and accounting for

publication bias, homoeopathy produced no statistically

significant benefit over placebo" - Quoted word for word from The Lancet

'A systematic review of systematic reviews of homeopathy. Ernst E.'

It's also extremely important to realize that trials in which homeopathy gets a slight positive are the smaller trials

  • @den151redbank Once again the Bhabha atomic research ctr which has not said anything about what they used, what their testing methods were, given their data, told us their research methods or given us any information what so ever.

If that isn't Bad Science and quackery, what is.

  • @ScienceGaveMeAHadron

    How about this:

    1. A study in JAMA found over 40% of the best designed, peer-reviewed scientific papers published in the world's top medical journals misrepresented the actual findings of the research. Doctors found a way to show treatments worked when they did not work.

    2. As much as 90% of the published medical information relied on by doctors is flawed or incorrect.

    3. Conv care/meds kill upwards of 784,000 Americans every year. Image the number world-wide.

  • @den151redbank

I would be more than happy to pm links to these findings to anyone who wants them.

OTH, homeopathy has been proven safe and efficacious through 200 years of clinical use and in 100's of studies published in 71 int'l and nat'l medical journals. I would be more than happy to provide a link to that material as well.

  • @den151redbank There are thousands of studies that prove homeopathy can have no effect beyond that of a placebo. Also factor in publication bias and the fact that no homeopath is forced to publish negative results, in fact a friend who is a methodologist just came back from a homeopaths study which showed homeopathic back pain remedies to have no positive effect, of course the homeopath did not publish the article has it did not support his views.

  • @den151redbank Yes publication bias has an effect on all medicines, positive results get published more than negative/placebo results. However this effect is also given to homeopaths and is far stronger seeing as there are far less negative effects from overdosing on homeopathic remedies since they do nothing therefore independant organisations are rarely called in to do rigorous testing.

Even then, at best the effect is equal on both homeopathic and proven medicine so it has no relevance.

  • @ScienceGaveMeAHadron

In fact, a study done by the Dept. of Economics at Tilburg U. and Erik Baars shows that patients whose GP's know anthroposophic med, homeopathy or acupuncture have lower health care costs and live longer than those whose GPs don't. I will be happy to provide anyone with the link to this study as well.

  • @den151redbank Ok so you address none of my points, also you prove homeopathy is totally false. It is safe because it has no active ingredients. It's plain water and sugar and you could never harm yourself on an overdose unless you ate enough to give you diabetes.

However using homeopathy in absence of conventional medicine is extremely dangerous as I cited, many people have died as they took homeopathic remedies instead of antibiotics etc

  • FDA approved assholes suffer more with side effects or die sooner...that's how stupid they are :-) , without mentioning the bunch of bucks spent in medical "care" lol. But that's good! it's more money for me ! ha! Poor idiots.

  • Keep taking FDA approved treatments and druuugsss! that's the best way to get rid of stupid assholes & mindless sheeps that never question what they;ve been told.

  • FDA=Mopsters, liars, manipulative greedy fuckers.

    FDA ( Fucking Dissociated Assholes)

  • Good grief, this is terrible! Such a shame that non-scientific audiences swallow this nonsense without question.

The worst thing is that as homeopaths rarely have any kind of medical training, these charlatans are diagnosing conditions incorrectly and prescribing fake treatments to people who otherwise might get real, life saving treatment. 3.00 we've never been more sicker, WRONG! We live longer than ever before. Then the conspiracy theories get trotted out, how insulting....

  • @cleanestair

Such a shame that misinformed, uninformed individuals attempt to perpetrate lies about homeopathy to the public.

There are 100's of studies proving homeopathy works. See the NCH web site for some plus links to PubMed. Two of the most recent studies done by the prestigious M.D. Anderson Cancer Center prove that homeopathics kill cancer cells.

FYI, there are 1/2 million homeopaths around the world. Most of them are M.D.'s. All of them study chemistry, physiology, etc.

  • @cleanestair

    Guess you haven't noticed that:

    1) of 2,500 conventional treatmts only 11% have been proven to be effective

    2) many drugs do great harm & aren't beneficial

    3) many drugs have been criminally marketed to treat what they were never approved to treat

    4) studies are falsified & docs are paid to give false testimony about drugs

    5) negative findings are withheld from doctors and the public

    6) drug co's pay huge criminal and civil fines for illegal marketing practices

  • @cleanestair

We live longer thanks to sanitation and improved hygiene. Haven't you noticed that conventional care/drugs kill upwards of 784,000 Americans every year?

  • I wish I weren't in my 60's, I'd go back to school in homeopathy.

  • Placebo, anyone? Get your placebo here!

Side effects? None! No effect either.

  • @billygutter01 Parrot

  • @fkoff99

    Sheep.

  • @billygutter01 Brainwashed robot. Puppet. Dummy. Dunce.

  • @billygutter01 Sheeps follow what others say without personal judgment . So that title fits you better than me. Go for your own experiences and don't be like most of the stupid useless brainwashed robots on earth. Think for yourself and look for your own results. I have enough personal experience and knowledge in the medical field to refute a lot of crap that "scientists" say about alternative medicine. Your "idols" are so full of shit, greed and arrogance that's not even funny.

  • @fkoff99

So you know who my "idols" are, do you? Well, if you're gullible enough to believe in homeopathy, and you're smug enough to refute the evidence based conclusion of those evil "scientists", it's hardly a surprise that you think you're a psychic as well.

    Enjoy your water.

  • @billygutter01 Im VERY satisfied the way approach life. You are nobody (like the "scientists" you follow) to come here and critizice something out of "evidence" that is not only but BULLSHIT. I do enjoy my water! But the the thing that I enjoy the most is not being stupid robot without common sense. Maybe I'll see you in few years in one of the facilites, all fucked up like most of the people after their 60's, poisoned and brainwashed by FDA. I don't need to b a psychic to see that.

  • @fkoff99 "Im VERY satisfied the way approach life. You are nobody (like the "scientists" you follow) to come here and critizice something out of "evidence" that is not only but BULLSHIT."

Read that again, please. Does that make any sense to you? Perhaps English isn't your first language?

Nice rant, though. Robot... FDA... brainwashed... Did I mention that I'm the one who kidnapped the Lindburgh baby, shot JFK, invented chemtrail technology and faked the moon landing.

  • Comment removed

  • @billygutter01 No stupid ass, I was just writing fast, but it looks like you can't not even take a hint about anything, not even in your own language..oh I forgot! you are a clueless robot without common sense. A missing letter/word would be devastating for your Level ~0.0001 algorithm. See you in few years, maybe I will treat you from any kind of degenerative disease, very common in stupid robots FDA approved like you, poisoned up to the yingyangs to the ultimate level with FDA mafia drugs.

  • @fkoff99 Yes, yes I get it.. The FDA is an evil cartel and only mindless drones use traditional (read: useful) pharmacology. Only the enlightened few have seen through this charade, and have realized the true efficacy of water.

    Right...

I think your foil hat is a little too tight.

  • @billygutter01

"Only the enlightened few have seen through this charade....."

In actuality, large numbers of Americans recognize what has been perpetrated on them by the FDA and its approval of drugs which do great harm and quite often nothing but harm. To appreciate the degree of disgust Americans have for the FDA read the comments to media articles posted on line about drugs and the criminal and civil fines levied against drug companies for criminal marketing of drugs.

  • @billygutter01

1/2 BILLION people around the world today use homeopathy because it works beautifully, is safe (unlike conventional drugs) and inexpensive.

  • @den151redbank That billygutter01 is another one that is going to end with diabetes, alzheimer or any other FDA side efffects approved disease when he reaches the 50's. HA!.

  • @fkoff99

Yes, it's true -- unfortunately, people who use conventional drugs find their health slipping away. By 60 they're taking 30 pills a day and can't retire because they have to pay the drug bills. OTH, sometimes they're too sick to work, and that's an even worse scenario!

  • @billygutter01 HA! you wish. I bet you don't even have a high school diploma

  • @billygutter01 What are you going to know about medicine or pharmacology??? Have you gone trhough medical school? chemistry? biochemistry? physiology? ...you don't even have common sense empty robot. You are just saying things like a parrot, living like a sheep...My apologies to the parrots & sheeps. How old are you? 30, 40? you have no more than 20 years (being generous)to live without major ailments..wait until you reach your 50's regular consumer.

  • @fkoff99

I hope you see the irony in repeatedly calling me a "parrot".

    Polly wanna new word?

  • @billygutter01 Awww clueless again, as usual. I forgot you run under a 1+1 algorithm mindless robot, unable to catch subtle differences. Too bad for you, again.

  • @fkoff99

"robot" again? Tired of "parrot" I suppose...

  • @billygutter01 Same shit, different pile (you).

  • @fkoff99

Very witty. I'm especially glad that you included the parenthetical clarification. I'd have been lost without it.

  • @billygutter01 You are lost, period.

  • @billygutter01 What do you know about medicine or pharmacology??? Have you gone trhough medical school? chemistry? biochemistry? physiology? ...you don't even have common sense empty robot. You are just saying things like a parrot, living like a sheep...My apologies to the parrots & sheeps. How old are you? 30, 40? you have no more than 20 years (being generous)to live without major ailments..wait until you reach your 50's regular consumer.

  • @fkoff99 Being rude and insulting is no way to convince anyone. Your clear disdain for the scientific community is also makes you unconvincing. There is a reason why people pay attention to scientists, science the best tool we have for exploring our world and figuring out what works and what doesn't. On the bright side, homeopaths do a great job of getting the most out of the placebo effect, and if something makes people feel better, who cares if its all in their head.

  • @Ravinian NOT trying to convince anyone. Everyone should follow his/her own experience. If you don't understand my point it's not my problem.

  • @Ravinian RUDE = Fucking Randi and idiots like him. Science is not for idiots like them, so, I think your compass sucks.

  • @fkoff99

    ?????? To what?

  • @fkoff99

Sorry, fkoff99 - response was meant for ScienceGaveMeA.........

  • This is the biggest bunch of propaganda I have ever seen...

  • N.D. == 'Not a doctor'.

You could buy a tiny bottle of WATER for $5! HURR SO CHEAP!

    Morons.

  • @happysinger Such maturity and insight you are demonstrating. I guess you are calling the video makers morons or the 200 million people who use this healing modality.

  • Comment removed

  • @QuantumOverlord Yes, agreed, lots of people use conventional medicine which doesn't mean it works. Most is not EBM either, almost all is dangerous. It's one of the highest causes of death.

Effective alternative medicine that isn't patentable or profitable doesn't become "medicine", it becomes "banned", is attacked by zealots, or in extreme cases medicalised (made prescription-only) and sidelined.

Oh, and we *do* use Shamanism, it's a movement in modern conventional psychology.

  • @methuzla Excellent comment/response
