Soul comes in many different forms, though. Just look at his body language while he's playing. May not look like much, but you I can tell he's feeling what he's playing and, in turn, I can almost feel it, too. Watch Doug Aldrich. He'll shred the guitar like a madman, but he's feeling what he's playing, and that's what matters. It's just a different form of soul. Not blues, jazz, R&B soul, but hard rock soul.
Shred and "wank" is more of a show-off thing than music. Shredding isn't something anyone can do properly. It actually does take control, dexterity, etc. Anyone can pick a guitar up and beat on the trem bar and wank on it, so I'll give you that one. But don't knock "Eruption" because you think it's wanking or mindless shredding.

@evh4450 I keep asking fans what this Eruption stuff is a good soundtrack to in their lives, I miss emotion or story in it, which is why I never put it on another mix tape after it was released. I also learned to play it as a kid, but never felt the need to sit and just noodle it other than to show off to peers, and I never cobbled together noises I could make into a medley of my own.

respond to video... this video , while enjoying it nearly 2 years ago, I was cowardly attacked stalked,and spammed by a username of Adnoydall. Adnoydall has been banned finally, but now Adnoydall has different usernames, " IntoVariety247" and " CatchinProjection" So in essence, Adnoydall, behind a mask, is still stalking/spamming me daily with hundreds of emails a month. IntoVariety247 has some mental issues. Adnoydall still stalks Eddie VH to this day, under alias's. EVH is God
