@thewaker33 Nightwish is not the same as it was, I agree with that, but it is still Nightwish.

You can be pissed off all you want about Tarja's dismissal, and you can claim it is not the same Nightwish that it was with her, and that is true. But the band Nightwish still exists and can be liked by whoever still wants to like them. That makes noone automatically fake or a mere Tuomas fan.

If you are a true fan of nightwish you would be pissed off because the whole band was nw and that includes Tarja. I give Anette serious kudos for performing here. She obviously has a very sore throat, and, as a singer, I know how awful it is to sing with one--and how painful it is. It's incredible that she performed at all. :)

People who say she's awful--check out ANYTHING from Hartwall. She's grown so much vocally, and is even better than on the album, in my opinion. She's always been a great singer, but now she has really, really shown it.

same here. i actually didnt hear about nightwish until Anette came. i listened to a few songs with Tarja and she has a beautiful voice just that it doesnt go with the music at all, i only like two songs with her, End of all hope and Nemo but that's it. Anette has a wonderful voice and hers fits the music more.

@OptimusHide Lol cool man, personally as a die-hard nightwish fan I loved nightwish when they had Tarja, and i love them just the same with anette, it's the same band but with a different sounding singer, but the music is just as epic.  Tarja and Anette both are 2 of the best female singers i've ever heard, and they have something different than other singers. I really couldn't choose between them.

And she was so sick during the U.S. touring

that they had to cancel a couple of the shows.

Annette seems a lovely lady and she is a decent singer who has improved a lot since this gig but for me she is still not matching the quality of the gorgeous, complex innovative music of NW. I feel no emotion when she sings Live and I am still cringing at her choices of clothes. I guess I will never get over the departure of Tarja who for me completed NW's music incredibly (not saying she sang always perfectly).

I think this tour is definitely too long for a singer. Don't understand why they chose such a punishing schedule...

As for her style (or lack of it?), we all have different tastes but I am horrified by most of her choices.

As for Tarja's dictation, I didn't mind it at all, rather cute.

Bottom line is, I will still buy the albums and go to their concerts but the magical combination of a voice and a music (which is so rare to find) is not there for me anymore.

I agree, this tour is too long and that's a lot on your voice, it's a wonder she can even attempt Wishmaster.

I like her clothes, I like her"rocker" look

better then her "classy" look, even though it

was weird looking.

And for me, it took awhile to get used

to Tarja's voice the first time I heard the band.

Personally, I admire both of them, and I think they both have amazing vocals, and I still get the "magical combination" no matter who is singing. I actually like some old songs Anette does.
