  • everyone talking about just video editing.... This is just an example, a demo of sorts. This technology can't, wont and isnt supposed to limit itself to one medium. Its possibilities are far reaching and endless. This, Is simply, an example of one thing it could do.

  • Very nice, but im asking myself if this is realy as improvised as it seems, or if they prepared the scenes before. Grabbing and pulling objects, ok. But selecting specific elements out of a video?

How does the computer know i want to select the hand including the fork,

how does it know i want the person including the tube,

and much more important ... how does it know which parts of the screen belong to the person and which not ?

  • i dont think this ll catch on- but it is the beginning of something that will.

as an editor- our work is so much more complicated than just chopping and changing, cutting pasting, and so forth. there is are over 100 buttons on my desktop alone- i cant see how this would make my life easier. The demo implies editing and compositing are ready made and easy to do- but there is alot of prep that isnt shown by this program- that mustve been done in another- such as the rotoscoping, etc.

  • 6) end result is a video collage..

what useful application can that be used for?

  • 3) Editing can take a few minutes or up to months. Editors spend a large amounts of time sat down, with very little need for physical endurance. How long could the average editor hold their arms up and wave them and stretch them out for?

    4) At the end of the day, alot of editors on tough projects are mentally drained, would they be physically aswell?

    5) could you have 2 editors working on the same set up? One who is very tall and one person who is in a wheel chair for example?

  • 1) So this is quite a large room..there's a lot of freelance editors and small companies that work in small offices and bedrooms. How is this going to work for them?

    2) This seems like a very physically demanding way to edit. A mouse can drag and drop clips around a large screen within a 1inch sqr. You're making the editor stand for long periods of time, making them use the whole upper body right down to the finger tips. Would you agree that this only suitable to the abled bodied person?

  • woah... who is the freaky jazz by in the soundtrack?

  • This type of editing work station would help me so much!

  • i did one of theses
