about a minute agoLiam James Keavney youre a rather odd petulant child arnt you rachel lmfao xx

  • @thecookiemonsterr255 MEEEE :D

  • @guavallamakonichiwa yes you rachel XD

  • THANKS FOR SHARING

  • Did you attend NMSU Aggies

  • @Heyaavy No i want to UC Davis (aggies) :)

  • wow! looks great! Nice work man! way to just tackle the job too!

  • Cheap ass, up grade that shit with real tile

  • @slapaho50 when you pay for it maybe he will. he said at the beginning he was on a budget bitch.

  • when did he say that he was gay?

  • Looks like a god dam FEMA shelter

  • You made this look so easy! The one thing I think is putting me off of doing my bathroom is that I will not only have to take out the toilet but my sink's cabinent as well. That in itself is a bigger job since it is attached to the wall. Thanks though as I think I'm going to go for broke and do it anyway!

  • Use a shop vac (WITHOUT THE FILTER) to remove the standing water or old towels to sop it up. Lay a trash bag in the tub/shower and set the toilet on it so it's out of the way.

You also want to remove the trim or just the quarter round (If any) and undercut the door jamb by 1/8 so the tiles slide under it looking like the door sits on top of the tiles.

on concrete or any floor you can use Henrys bond enhancer to make the tiles stick strongly.

Best scissor is metal shears & Scoring/Snapping

  • you should have just call a pro to do it

  • I thought you had better luck putting the wax ring on the toilet and then setting it down. The Home Depot video showed it that way and now I am confused. This guy's sexual preference has no bearing on this tutorial! I thought we were past comments like that these day. I'm a girl so hope I am qualified

  • good job. But i think its not a bath room at all. I dont see shower or bath tub. Its a toilet. lol

  • Concrete floors new age? haha

  • This guy must be Mexican with all that tile!! Horrible looking floor!!!

  • @raidergus I am sorry but I can't believe all this racist hater talk! Some super insecure men here bashing any man who doesn't look or live they do. I am a woman who finds that kind of attitude a HUGE TURNOFF!! Stop it

  • DO YOU START FROM THE MIDDLE????

  • @sparklle0913 actually my downstairs is all one GIANT open area, I actually started in my kitchen.... and it went into my living room, and thus into my downstairs bathroom....

  • SO DO YOU HAVE TO START FROM THE MIDDLE OR DOES IT REALLY MATTER??HELP! THANX THOUGH CUTE DOG!!

  • Thanks Dude! Didnt know Vinyl tile existed. Is this something you could use on a screened in back porch? Or would the temp changes cause problems?

  • @7659143358 I'm not sure about temp changes.... But I do have the tile laying directly on concrete and I have had NO problems with them at all, and this video was made 3 years ago.

  • Great Job! I really appreciate the video.

  • dont care that he was gay. thank you it helped a little but i needed u to show me door jams that scks .

  • @jtlaviano Ugh doing door jams does totally blow.... Just takes patients...

  • lol well handled aggiepm. no problem with you being gay, but aggies suck. :) nice tutorial though.

  • Hes gay? why dont you go ahead and tell him he has dark hair? Or standing in a bathroom? moron

  • i think the most prevlent part would have been to show the cutting of the tiles not how to unscrew a toilet

  • awsome man, i did't knew that vinyl tile exist....thank you for opening my mind

  • nice job man

  • Very cool...you made it look so easy. Thanks!

  • HAHAHA HE'S FUNNY, VIDEO HELPFUL!

  • gay ... wat ... u hapE... hehe... should remove trim on baseboards other then that good....ok even if gay/hapE

  • good video!

  • Very nice job. Question, what size ring did you use, at the store they had different sizes. Your tile job was very nice. Also, I noticed you did not use any additional cement, you think the adhesive will stay on there. Don't listen to those negative comments, they are just idiots sitting around going into home repair videos making comments about gayness and boyfriends, where is your girlfriend? Clicking on the computer mouse.

  • "cheap and ghetto" IS vinyl you fruitcup! you ruined the entire lower floor of your home HOMO!

  • why didn't you get your boyfriend to help?

or hasn't he come out of the closet like you?

  • 6:37 - 6:44

    funny dude

  • Good Job Scott...Thanks

  • not keen on the tile choice but good work mate.

  • why would cover that beautiful concrete floor with those tiles ??????

  • You could have stained that concrete to look like that shyt you bought and it would have looked much better and not actually lowered the value of your home, dude.

  • I think when this guy said these words, "You just go to suck it up and do it", he was thinking about his boyfriend!!! LOL What a fag!

  • what a stupid waste of time. f f sake why show how to flush a bog. total waste of time . 1 star

  • @chris42999 well some peep dont flush...

  • Next time don't talk sp much you fruit cake.

  • Much of the video was common sense, and it didn't address the more difficult questions about tiling. Anyone could figure out that the paper peels off of the back...but how about some info about how to cut the tiles around the door jamb/entrance? Also, any tips on keeping the tiles straight/level? What the video covered, I already knew. And, I didn't know anything except for common sense about this.

  • Try using rubber gloves and using a sponge to absorb what water is left in the toilet to help reduce what may spill when you move it

  • i have had good experience with these stick on tyle but not in high mosture areas any sudjestions

  • They sell a primer that roll onto the wood or concrete floor first. That will help it stick more than without it. I would consider using ceramic tiles. Few hundred more but will last way longer.

  • Great vid. Thanks for posting!!!!

  • Hey man. Thanks for the vid. Great project and great video. Well edited. Had its comic moments too. Nice job! I'm going to check out your other projects if you have more! Peace.

  • love the tile job how is it holding up I did same v. tile in my kitchen and bathrooms and I have noticed some lifting I even used adhesive to secure it down ... I like the colors in your tile... any ideas how to make a sub floor level enough to do this to the whole house...

  • Comment removed

  • lol.... that tile is cheap and gheto:)

  • This is true Trailer Trash.lol

  • Can't justify the work etc involved to lay ceramic. If vinyl starts to lift seems like an easier fix - since you should have extras on hand for repairs etc. BTW I will remove toilet to do job. I did not remove toilet when I painted room. No one has noticed yet. Guess I will paint it now. Don't want to be too ghetto.

  • Great vid. I have 2 small bathrooms. Considered ceramic tile - but for the cost & purchase or rental of tools I don;t have - not worth it. I have ceramic tile in my downstairs bath layed on concrete. Tile has developed cracks in grout and on tile surface - 20 years old. 2 upstair baths will be on wood subfloor -

  • good not bad

husein from Iraq - kirkuk city

  • Grrrr, you're cute! :-)

Nice video. Hugs from the U.K!

  • ur bathroom looks like those bathrooms for hospitals there big and have those handles to grab on if u cant stand lol

hey but great video i like it very much...

  • nice tatoo

  • Whats more ugly? the floor or those dogs?

  • haha SCOTT GUARD

  • those sticky tile are not to good in the the bathroom soon as they get wet they have tendancy to lift up

  • great job! most homeowners don't even know where to begin. i have friends whos husbands have started doing things like this and can't complete them, and the wives end up calling in the professionals....tee hee :O)

  • I grew up in a floor covering enviroment and been selling and laying floors for 46 years. I've attended many manufacture seminars in selling, product knowledge, and installation.

Was an Armstrong Floor Fashion Center Dealer and every vinyl manufacture dealer under the stars.

This video is a good video especially because the homeowner is the installer.

The homeowner didn't work on his knees like most installers smart man. lol

  • was this video about laying cheap tile or removing a toilet? Dude spent way too much time with the toilet......

  • man your gona cover concrete with that shit it takes so so much time to make that concrete look that good

  • what a shame to cover such a cool concrete floor. Been spending years taking up tiles and putting down concrete, everyone to there own taste.peace and love.

  • Thank you so much for this video. You make it seem so easy and realistic. I'm pretty sure I will dread certain parts of the job and it's comforting to know other people feel the same way!

  • At least the guy is being helpful, homophobic comments from insecure people are not.

  • @mur38 No kidding!!

  • Thats cheap ass Home Depot peel n stick

  • ha ha lol

  • is the dogie gay too :)?

  • AHAAAAAH LMAO that's what I expected this guy to say whil;e he was talking a gay home improvment guy lol.

  • you know if you keep dragging your ass on the floor you will get blisters which will cause a problem when your boyfriend is banging your ass so please mister fag. stick to what you know best which is interior decorating because construction is not your thing.

  • lol LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL!!

  • for your info there door jambs not door post, tiles have arrows to show pattern and you mount wax ring to horn on toilet you dont mount to floor first.learn yourself before giving incorrect direction.

  • Thanks. I just got the same tiles under the influence of your video. It would have been nice though to see the more tricky parts such as the actual cutting out templates to fit around pipes, toilet and such.. . . Btw, these tiles are starting to become discontinued in some places - most now have an ugly (imo) outline/square on each them. Had to look around quite a bit to find these ones.

  • Thanks for the vid Aggiepm, I'm in the process of doing my bathroom floor and you have shed some light on what I need to do.

  • nic job!

  • I never saw anyone work wearing slippers or worse black socks & sitting on his ass the whole job LOL.

One thing that you forgot is the tile direction...most of these tile have an arrow in the back that you have ot pay attention to.

If you want it all to go the same way or if you want checkerboard etc.

Also before moving the toilet it is a good idea to get most of the water out of the bowl with a paper cup or something like that, or as you move it you can get water all over your floor.

  • he sits on his ass ROFL

  • This is sooo fucking gay!

  • where is this bathroom?it looks like San Quentin prison! LOL

  • the video should say laying VINYL tile

  • koda say hi to the camera ill bet you make him lick vegemight off your nuts to

  • squirt some baby oil on the feet of your washing machine and it will skate across the floor easy.

  • tiles? or vinyl?

  • Both! its Vinyl tile :)

  • gay

  • wow I think its pretty obvious I'm gay, congrats on your mind blowing observational skills buddy

  • You are? Man thats nasty.

  • that tile looks good for about 3 months and then it curls lifts and looks like crap! You get what you pay for

  • Nice video!

  • Great clip, but a couple of tips that will make this a little easier. If you have a wet/dry shop vac, you can suck any remaining water out of the tank and bowl before removing the toilet. When you install the toilet put the wax ring on the toilet then set the toilet. Otherwise great video.

  • Nicely done. I just bought vinyl that looks a lot like yours, and now I have a better idea on getting it into place.

  • hey scott..did you have to put primer or an adhesive on first before laying the tiles? also, how much were the tiles? thanx =)

  • Looks much better than the plain old concrete!

  • They are fairly inexpensive around fifty cents per to one dollar each. The fancier the more expensive. They come with adhesive. I have have done many floors with vinyl composite tile and the most important thing is get the floor super clean or in time the tile will peel off.

  • Scott, good job. If you ever get tired of standing/walking on the hard concrete, consider cork. Rock on Scott!

  • Thank you Scott! I am planning to have ceramic tile installed in my bathroom, and it was great to see that 'just maybe' I could just do it myself... You made that look really really easy!

  • Wow very clear and comfortable presenter.

  • You're a lifesaver, Scott. I was getting really discouraged and stressed out reading about this stuff, but your calm pace and casual attitude have really relieved a lot of my stress and inspired confidence (and this is in addition to the practical benefit from your instructions!). Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi, A cheaper alternative would have been to just stick tiles to the bottom of your shoes...Hey presto vour walking on tiles where ever you go.

  • classic one..... very true.

  • Thanks for the vid - I can't wait to tile my kitchen/bath with this product !!

  • Thanks Scott. Contactors would charge an arm and a leg for what you just taught me. Thanks for taking the time to video your work and share.

  • I liked the concrete better, hopefully those tiles are easy to remove.

  • I found your video very useful. Thanks for taking the time to make the vid.

  • That was a very helpful comment thank you!

  • Don't even reply to scum like that...What a douchebag!

  • A wet/dry vac can help greatly with the mess. Vacuum out the remaining water in the tank and in the bowl, and have it ready (with a few towels) when you lift the body of the bowl from the floor. I hope this helps!

  • what has happened to this country...

  • Thank you, you helped me very much, forget any negative remarks, they're from contractors who want to charge an arm and leg for what you did.

  • tip: after flushing the toilet - use a plunger to blow out the water left in the trap, this makes the moving of the toilet a *lot* less messy.

also - be sure to put a rag or plastic bag in the hole of the toilet drain while you work to stop sewer gas from coming up. remember to remove it before replacing the toilet though.

  • good job dude

  • You should have put real Slate flooring, you will feel really proud of doing that. Vinyl tile is cheap and it's not that good for bathrooms because of water environment.

  • excellent vid . cheers

  • cheap floors and plastic

  • last comment is for ( debstar2005 )

  • thanks Scott for this vid,I just finished doing my tiles yesterday and look great on my bathroom,i didnt move the toilet though.

  • nice job man. very educational vid. hope u can make some more vids like this.

  • did it leak

  • good job my friend.ignore all the pretenders, they're just jealous,if they were real pros, they wouldn't be watching the video.

  • Removing the toilet is a far more professional job!! The tiles can never ever lift with the toilet sitting on them!

Anyone who would "cut around it" or even suggest cutting around it would obviously be an amature

  • ok mister smart ...when u cut around it,it gives small tile peaces wich is weak to stay stick for a long term,

  • Hey Scott,

Back again as I didn't have enough space to leave another point. That is, I can't fucking believe some of the absolute ASSHOLES that commented on your sexual preferences!!!

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? Personally I'm straight but I don't give a fiddler's fuck what you hump, a Rhino for all I care!! You provided a community service, a good one at that yet they attack you because they themselves have sexual hangups!!! Fucking Losers Man!!!

Keep doing what you're doing Scott!

  • Looking for the Lead role are ya?

  • Scott,

Excellent job on the tile work man!! I mean you took the time to video the whole procedure and most certainly provided a service to a lot of people who probably would not have attempted the job before but will now! Personally I can do about any home repair job but I like watching some of these "How To" video's for nothing but different procedures, other people's short cuts, tips etc.

Having said that, why didn't you clean the bottom edge of the toilet? (lol)

None the less, good job bud

  • Dude, I'm working on my bathrooms in my TH and got some good info from ur vid. I'm using mortar and stone but the basics carry forward. Ignore the comments from these fags that left bad msgs but I bet they got some good unfo overall.

  • Thanks man! :)

  • was I ever in the closet?

  • vinyl tiles are pure pish

  • Oh and you're so cool because you have so much time not getting laid that you can rome around the net making obnoxious comments on peoples' videos who you probably don't even know and who definitely don't give two flying shits about you. Bugger off, a-hole.

  • jesus906 sounds like a man who was annaly raped behind bars but kind of liked it... now he spends his days running from the truth. that was a great video and it looks great.

  • jesus906 you problem is to see that a faggot can do a better job that a "man" like you can do

  • vision40, Zach, please immediately consume feces and cease all metabolic functions. Thanks!

  • .... Who are you?

  • Does anybody know if the adhesive vinyl tile can be applied straight onto old wood flooring.

  • great video, very helpful. I'm ready to remodel.

  • really like the video! I am in the progress of doing my kitchen and hallway in the sticky back tile. looks terrific and if there a cigarette burn or anything I can just take out that tile and lay a new one back in its place.

  • you must make sure your floor is flat out of dust or grease 100x100 befoere the installation.

  • Good video, considering many of the others are 15 to 90 seconds. You actually show what you were doing and how you did it. You were lucky your floor was flat.

I happen to agree with many others that vinyl is not the way to go. It may be what you like, but when selling the place vinyl is not going to add much of a value.

  • Question? I was thinking about doing my basement in vinyl, but i was worried about the moisture coming up from the concrete floor and making the tiles peel. Has anyone had that problem before?

  • well I put them directly on my concrete slab (though not a basement) and I have not had any issues with them coming up, though I have only had them down for less then a year.....

  • Very educational. You make it look so easy. I was considering doing this type of tile myself but didnt have the first clue.. Well I think it looks wonderful. Great job!! and a note to "arseBottom" change your user name to "arseASS"!!!!!!!

  • Very educational. You make it look so easy. I was considering doing this type of tile myself but didnt have the first clue.. Well I think it looks wonderful. Great job!! and a note to "arseBottom" change your user name to "arseASS"!!!!!!!

  • you ruined your house!!!

    I love the bichon though!!!

  • much better than concrete vinyl is a nice cheap option, but so much coverage of the same tile... kinda blens the rooms together a bit too much for my liking, but its your house man, and like i said anything beats concrete you gay lord! :)

  • vinyl tile sucks.. end of story

  • Are you the host of singing bee?

  • hmm don't even know what singing bee is...

  • to get most of the remaining water out of the toilet bowl after flushing, fill up a bucket of water and pour it quickly down the bowl this will suck the remaining water out.

  • If a tile does lift try heating it with a blow dryer to help reactivate the adhesive. If that does'nt work just use a proper construction glue.

  • I never liked vinyl tiles until I found some that are thicker than normal, they actually have a beveled edge,so when you put them down they look exactly the same as ceramic.Because they are beveled you can use grout to give them the same look as ceramic.I did this 4 years ago and they are still perfect and if I ever damage one its an easy fix.

  • hi. where did you find the thick vinyl tile with the beveled edge that you were talking about? was it hard to find? thx

  • great vid

  • You are a very good instructor. Even if I'm not sold on the vinyl tile.

  • you know I admit I was worried about it at first, but it looks good and I like it.

  • I may be speaking out of turn. I had some in my utility and had horrible luck. They peeled up and showed dirt in the cracks. However, the vinyl you are using looks much more attractive. I hope you have good luck with them. BTW, very good tutorial...

  • when u start getting water on that floor from the handbasin, the tiles will lift.
