  • What episode is this??

  • wtf happened to harley :(

  • The Harley redesign is actually genius; she wasn't around in the Silver Age, which is what this show is largely imitating -- the design is what she would have looked like if she had been created back then.

  • Wait, that's Harley?! 0_o

  • What... the hell... is this... abomination?

  • Worse Harley Quinn voice EVER!!!

  • Guess they didn't finished painting Harley

  • What. the. FUCK. is that black and white thing.

I know for a fact, that it isnt Harley

  • @BikouTenma Joker had all his henchmen dress up like 1920s Film Stars for this heist. She's supposed to look kind of like Betty Boop.

  • god they ruined batman

  • Harley Quinn looks like a vodevil dancer, not like a feminine version of the Joker.

  • her voice sounds like the singer in back to the future the game

  • Harley Quinn looks like a indan woman HELP

  • every time she says she's Harley I want to hurt myself.....

  • I hate this new harley quinn. I want the old harley :(

  • what?! batman hits harley all the time no shame

  • i prefer old HQ AND MR J xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • harley looks like she jumped out a 1940's detetctive movie

  • Dude, thiws is modelled around the older, more camp batman style

You know, the one that wasn't dark and gritty

    The one that came first

  • ......that's harley???? what the fuck???

  • this series is shit, the only good moment in this, was when he met joe chill, rest of the series sucked. Joker looked like a defunct sperm that should have been swallowed and batman looks like a pathetic copy of the 1970's one.

  • this batman is shit

  • wow, this series sucked so much compared to the animated adventure.

  • ok, so all of the villains in B: B&B are supposed to look as they did in an older version of the character, so wut the hey happened to Harley Quinn!?

  • @TheScreamdude

Harley wasn't around until BTAS was made, call it a guess as to what a Golden/Silver Age Harley Quinn looked like

  • @snakes3425 ya, i guess u hav a point, its not that i dont lik the new look, i just didnt like that they put her original costume on sumone else, ya kno wut i mean?

  • Oh, poor Harley. What have they done to you? You started with such promise; a seemingly simple blue-eyed blonde in blue face makeup and a red-and-black harlequin costume. How hard is it to draw a red-and-black harlequin costume? Hell, even the 2nd cartoon incarnation of Harley (which sucked compared to the original, BTW) managed to get the costume right! This isn't Harley Quinn; this is Betty Boop's slutty older sister!

  • @ztslovebird no its that bitch from drawn together lmao

  • Wait, is that Harley Quinn or a dieting Toot from Drawn Together?

  • @MrsLovett112 Lol!!

  • this harley reminds me of betty boop. the old 1920's sex symbol.

  • I don't get it why so many people are putting this show down? I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but damn this is a fun series and great tribute to a more classic Batman! Just take it for what it is a fun adventure silver age Batman show! If you want a darker show with more character development then go back and watch Batman the Animated Series! That show is still amazing!

  • what many veiwers fail to understand is that ITS MEANT TO BE CAMPY , ITS MEANT TO LOOK LIKE THE AGE OF ADAM WEST so enjoy it for what it iss

  • @LordCHull well i like it. i love Batman the Animated Series. That was great, but this is a good show to watch when you're looking for a batman series that just brings on the fun

  • @LordCHull I agree

  • I know she looks nothing like herself, but the design in and of itself isn't that bad

  • @TheYuriFreak SHES GOT NO COLOR!

  • @davetrans12 Neither does Toot Braunstein from Drawn Together, but I love her too

  • @TheYuriFreak Heath Ledger didn't looked liked Joker at all but he was awesome wasn't he?

  • "you wouldn't an innocent girl lured astray by a criminal mastermind would you?" no? too bad: because she'llcertainly hit you!

  • WTF?? This new revamping of characters has gone too far!! -:{

  • @DeathlyPumpkin Jeeze its just an alternate design for a character that appeared only once (+ a cameo at the end) in this entire series. Also "new revamping" of characters in Brave and the Bold? 90% of the cast in this show are wearing costumes that haven't seen the light of day in decades, nothing new or revamped about it.

  • Harley?

  • I hate this series.. :(

  • Oh no! Someone stole all her color and dressed her up as a flapper girl! Who could do such a thing!?

    (Looks at the credits.)

Well, someone made my shit list...

  • I never thought I'd push dislike button on a batman video. What is this world coming to?

  • This is horrible.... Just horrible!

  • this new show reminds me of the old one i watched when i was a kid in the 90's mixed with the Adam West comic book 60's time period

  • this is when we know they arn't even trying anymore

  • @drmario711 tell me about it, this is a drak age for Batman cartoons

  • which episode is this from?

  • Don't believe Harley Quinn's outfit! She was created in 1992, not the 1920s-1930s! I don't care if the show follows original looks, she should've had her original get-up!

  • @pinoyjona She was wearing a policewoman costume the very first time she showed up in B:TAS, you know.

  • @ShadowSonic2 If I dive into my batman-nerdom, the very first time she appeared, Dini had no intention of bringing her back. She truly was a nameless henchgirl. It was only after her positive reception did they decide to develop her character. Technically, her "first episode as a character" was Harlequinade.

  • @pinoyjona Judging that harlequins existed way before 1900s, giving her the name "Harley Quinn" and not giving her a harlequin outfit makes no sense to me

  • @shidousama There was a reason though, Joker had ALL his henchmen dress up like 1920s film stars to surprise attack Batman as some Film History exhibit they were hiding in.

  • CTN crossed the line.

compared to the classic cartooned batman brave and the bold is just murdering the classics...were the batman plots actualy had some point...not batman teaming up with some other super hero every flipping episode, also the character design is horrid.they made the joker a joke, were he is ment to be a threat with comic relief. they ruined harley's classic clown costume.god, least she is not a slut like in the newest games,oh wait, black and white.bar saloon..*facepalm*

  • @vasheeri

The darker in tone B:TAS was not the inception of Batman Universe. The stories he was involved were originally pretty campy and goofy. The original lighter in tone and Silver Age comics (the actual "classics") had some of the original representations of Batman which is what this show is an adaption of. Those "horrid" character designs you're complaining are the original Silver Age designs of the characters (except Harley Quinn but her design was just a one episode thing)

  • @astralbiscuit67 the classics i was refering to was when harley queen had the red and black clown costume, which became for many, her iconic look, and when the joker was a balance between a clown and a insane killer, this version of joker is either a joke in one episode and a full killer in another, there is no true balance which many of the joker fans love, i understand how this show followed original looks, but they didnt focus on how they evolved into what many people love about them,

  • @vasheeri

You missed the point I was trying make. B: TAS is considered a classic piece of animation but its not considered to be one of the classics (the very old entries in Batman series, the Silver Age comics) So its kind of weird to say its murdering the classics when the the show is faithful adaption and tribute to them.

  • @vasheeri

"but they didnt focus on how they evolved into what many people love about them"

Perhaps because the show wasn’t trying to appeal to the B:TAS fans? Have you ever thought of that? Instead, it’s trying to appeal to Batman fans in general. You can’t mark a show as horrid because it doesn’t appeal to your specific audience.

  • @astralbiscuit67 I dont think the show appeals to batman fans in general at all. It appeals to children and Adam West Batman fans. In comparison to the original B: TAS and to DC comics, I'd say its horrid because it strips away all the depth. But as a kid show and a homage to the Adam West series, I think it's pretty good.

  • @shidousama

Its not trying to have depth. Fans such as you keep criticizing the show as if its a follow up to the Batman: TAS (e.g. New batman Adventures and Batman Beyond) that does no justice to the original show. Its an faithful adaption of the Silver Age Batman comics (the more campy and lighthearted Batman comic series) and its universe is separate from that of B:TAS.

  • @shidousama

(continued) I say its trying to appeal to Batman fans in general because of the numerous amount of references to different Batman incarnations events within different comics and tv shows that any newcomer in the batman franchise just would not understand. As for Harlequin's design in the show. This is her only appearance in the show and the Joker's henchmen just happen to be going with 1920s theme in this episode. Don't think about it to much.

  • C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER

  • OH MY GOD HOW I HATE BATMAN BRAVE AND BOLD AFTER WATCHING THE ANIMATED SERIES ONCE AGAIN. GAAAAAAH!

  • Both Harley Quinn and Joker have ANNOYING VOICES.. F****CCCKK

  • harley quinn my ass

  • Good Old Time Fun!

  • what episode is this

  • I'd like her character design they went with if it somehow tied in with the Harlequin theme her character should have. As it is it hardly makes sense. XD

  • any reason for harley quinn being black & white and dressed up like a flapper woman from the 1920's ??? I'd say no, because it doesn't fit her at all and it's just completely and undeniably OUT OF CHARACTER -.- this show sucks

  • HARLEY'S

    VOICE

    IS

    So

    FREAKING

    HIGH

  • fav part at 0:10

  • WHO'S THE LITTLE KID AT 0:35 ???????

  • @allisonprince1999 hes not a little kid hes the biggest batman fan from our world (so its comic books) but his name is bat mite so he goes to the world were batman exists to help/ruin batmans day

  • @allisonprince1999 Apparently he's Bat-Mite. A being from an alternate dimension who's a hardcore Batman fan. I actually looked this up and wasted like 5 min. of my time reading about him. He is so fuckin' anoying to me.

  • @95boboman PLEASE DON'T SWEAR!!!

  • Yeah, I don't like this iteration as much...

  • harley quinn? derferk thats not harley?!

  • wtf. Harley Quinn? There isnt anything remotely harlequin about her!

  • @shidousama she haz a hammer?

  • @shidousama Did you watch the episode? Joker had all his goons and Harley dress up like 1920s film stars.

  • @ShadowSonic2 Not at all. This series just really doesn't interest me. It's got its funny moments but it feels way too kid-friendly and cheesy for my tastes. But even still, way to introduce Harley Quinn to a new audience after squeezing out everything that made classic fans love her.

  • @shidousama The only difference between this Harley and the TAS one is she's not wearing her Harlequin outfit. And the very first time we ever saw Harley in TAS, she wasn't wearing her Harlequin outfit either!

  • @ShadowSonic2 She wore the outfit while Joker plotted then later changed into a policewoman outfit. However, that was back when she was merely a typical henchgirl thrown in by Paul Dini to mix up Joker's usual henchmen. The original Harley Quinn was all about her obsessive love to the Joker and how she'd do horrible things just for him to love her. This Harley Quinn seems to me like a typical villain sidekick: No depth, no character, just sidekick fodder.

  • @shidousama They needed two series and multiple episodes to develop TAS Harley Quinn, and a tie-in comic. This one only had ONE episode, its' not a comparable thing. You should compare this Harley to what TAS Harley was the start not what TAS Harley became later on.

  • @ShadowSonic2 And that's exactly my point. Way to demote a loved, story-rich villainess into a one-shot, forgettable, misc-looking hench girl who might as well have been named something else. Having only one episode is also no excuse. The 2004 Batman series had Harley Quinn in a single episode (not counting background cameos) and was able to develop her into a memorable, interesting character.

  • @shidousama "Way to demote a loved, story-rich villainess into a one-shot, forgettable, misc-looking hench girl who might as well have been named something else."

Oh please, that's like saying the one-shot appearance of Mr.Freeze as "Mr. Zero" in this show somehow ruined THAT character.

  • @ShadowSonic2 I dont watch this series so for all I know, maybe it did. Did they keep the personality and motivation of Mr. Freeze in the original series or did they turn him into just a generic, "Take over the world" villain with a cool ice gun like Mr. Freeze in Batman and Robin? By the way, demote does not mean ruin. It means roughly to "give a lower rank" which they did to Harley Quinn. Turning her from one of the main villains to a forgetable henchgirl

  • @shidousama You better just watch the series then and draw your own conclusions.

And they used the Adam West version of Mr.Freeze, the one who was called Mr.Zero.

  • @ShadowSonic2 I'd say my guesses are correct then: They used the Mr. Freeze who's a generic take-over-the-world villain, only marginally better than Schumacher's Mr. Freeze. I've seen enough to draw my conclusions: The creators obviously see kid friendly as equivalent to black-and-white hero vs villain stories.Nothing wrong if people like that, but it really takes away the core of what made Batman so great.

  • @shidousama Actually, Paul Dini himself wrote that episode. Mr. Zero was only in it for a minute or so, and it was when Bat-Mite was fighting a bunch of Batman's obscure enemies (Mr Pokadot, Kite-Man, Zebra-Man, Killer Moth, etc).

  • @shidousama it's probably how she would have looked if they created her in the 30s with the batman and the joker

  • @Justin93koch Given the colourful name of Harley Quinn and the cartoony-campiness of the Adam West series, doubtful that they miss such an opportune costume.

  • @shidousama costume

  • @shidousama that's cause BTBATB is based off the golden age comics. Well Harley Quinn did come to be till the 1990's thanks to BTAS

  • @Schwarzwald9 Yeah, but they could've either shown Harley Quinn as we know and love her or done her loyal fans a favor and spared her from this fate. Anything would've been better than this half-assed version! She has all the annoyance of the 2nd cartoon incarnation and none of the charm of the 1st incarnation.

  • @ztslovebird Or you could ignore her and leave this version to the people who enjoy it.

  • Who the heck is this floating mini bat man boy lil girl idonno can sum1 tell me?

  • @romybobby that's batmite

  • harley quinn?

  • Why is Harley Quinn a flapper?

  • 0:20 reenactment of the theme song for batman from the old series XD

  • i dont like this show (except for the joker parts) much but it have his moments

  • Any show that can take AQUAMAN and make him my favorite character is alright in my book.

  • What is this horseshit?

  • Wow, women ARE batman's kryptonite...

  • Holy shit this batman is adam fucking awesome west ;_;!

  • what happen to harly quins jester costume

  • That's quite a normal voice for Batmite...

In my language, he realley sounds like a videogame nerd...

    LOL

  • THAT'S Harley Quinn?

    That's not Harley Quinn.

  • Harly:"you wouldnt hit an inastin girl led a strey by a findish grimanle mistermind would ya?"

    Batman:.......

    Harly:"smack!

    Batman:"Uh!"

    Harly: Sucker!"

  • I like all the ages of batman.

  • ive seen enough fan fiction to know where that was going

  • It would be nice if they made a Batman show for mature teens so they can stop cutting all the death, killing, and the other mature themes that are in the comics

  • worst joker and batman and harley quinn i just cliket on it to see batmite

  • @RNRgammer ya but thats the point it is a kids show to get them into the batman world and things like zanny music and funny fights are what get younger kids and then when their older and if they like batman thats when they can start viewing batman gothham night or under the red hood the more mature stuff. i just dont like when someone like that spike guy comes in starts bashing something others like because he's a self proclamed hardcore batman fan

  • @RNRgammer sorry i read the name above so i thought it was him replying to me my bad dude. but in only the original animated series did it show show his parents death but even then they did it in a indirect way so you knew they died but i dont see how it happened. and its a huge difference between killing someone and just a fight i dont see how you can even try to rebudle that ya its violence but its on a whole nother scale

  • @RNRgammer thats just an asinine reply theres a would of difference between someone getting beat up and someone being killed and this show in an homage to the origanal detective comics were batman came from so like i said dont like it dont watch it and like the guy said its a kid show so calm your ass down

  • Ok, wtf happened to Harley?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not harley....

  • WHY IS HARLEY NOT IN RED? D:

  • I want to throw up every time i see this version of batman!

  • Yeah, The silver age was pretty balls out crazy, but it was also really damn FUN. This Batman is more to the source material than the Batman we grew up with, in fact, considering how much the Animated series changed the show.

Fer Christ Sake, it's a cartoon. Sit down. Watch it. Have FUN.

  • @AutomaticLazor Nah has nothing to do with that. I enjoy the art forms of the other animated series more that's all. This art style doesn't gain my interest and makes it hard for me to get into it. It has nothing to do with the 'faggoty broody Batman' as you put it. You just assumed that was what I was going on. It has nothing to do with how the characters are portrayed I just can't get my head into it which kinda irritates me, not that its the shows fault, cause I love batman.

  • @AutomaticLazor

I actually prefer Justice League Unlimited to the Batman Animates Series. The stakes were high, every character got a chance to shine, and it had an epic plot but didn't take itself TOO seriously.

I guess the big problem that I have with this series is that it feels like a step backwards, I don't like the so-called golden age, most of the comics from that period SUCKED in my opinion. I can handle sillyness and cheesyness up to a point, but this is too much for me.

  • Hate this version sooo much >.<

  • Harley Boop?

  • @ThePoop1579 I was about to say the same thing.

  • @ThePoop1579

You just totally read my mind, dude...:)

  • she reminds me of toot braunstein from "Drawn Together"

  • harley is black and white is because if you look up the clown harlequinn it comes yp in a black and white costume

  • That voice is like a squeak toy!

& why did they make Harley a flapper?

  • The whole video i was wondering who that black and white woman was and when she said i'm Harley Quin i though to myself "Can you say that again, i think i misheard" (HARLEY QUIN WITH NO JESTER SUIT IS NO HARLEY QUIN)

  • A jester? Really? Jesus man it's in the name! HARLEQUIN! SHES A HARLEQUIN!

  • 0:14 batman! you are supose to say "the hammers of justice is unisex"

  • @TheMysticCore I still like the "I'm an equal opportunity crime fighter" line better.

  • oh, Harley, what have they done to you?!

  • the brave and the bold not a fan series. thumbs up if you agree.

  • Oh Harley why did they have to make you a flapper? And what's with the voice?

  • @LAKERSRon15Artest All I'm saying is this is how Batman started, COLORFUL. it was all about the color, there was a time Batman would appear in the middle of the day. most of the characters are portrayed in their first appearance clothing, this show also introduces to young viewers heroes who have been forgotten. they brought back some DC history, that's what makes the show interesting. introducing the old to the new. Of course this is still my opinion so the profane reply wasn't necessary.

  • How is this version of Batman hated? It isn't ruined, this is based off Batman's more classic age. and you people call yourselves Batman fans. ._.

  • @Floralian this show is gay as hell as much as teen titans was batman TAS was the best batman we had even the batman they made from 2005 or o6 through 08 is better than this bs im pretty sure ur one of those kids that like to watch all the garbage tv shows networks now make fuck this series of batman real batman fans know that this show is stupid as fuck and ur a moron 4 even watching shit like this

  • @Floralian

I call myself a fan of the more serious Batman, you know, the one where HE ISN'T A FLAT PIECE OF CARDBOARD!!

The reason I don't like this version is that it feels like a step backwards in his developement. The characters of Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Superman and dozens of others have changed and evolved over the years into more than just... well, THIS.

Also, Bat Gorilla? If there was ever anything that could make me abandon a series in less than a nano second--that it it!!

  • @Mrspikeprime dude it's a kids show.

  • @sjconker64

You have NO IDEA how much that stand point PISSES ME OFF!!!!

OK, it's a kids show, so what? So was the Batman and superman shows in the 1990's, and they still had some really mature themes littered throughout. Hell, the latter had a beloved, long-time character DIE, burned to death by Darkseid's Omega beams.

So yeah, it's a kid's show, it doesn't mean it has to insult the intelligence of--or talk down to--its audience. THAT'S why I hate this show.

  • @Mrspikeprime dont like it dont watch it and stfu its made to get kinds into the batman universe at a young age and most paents now a days dont want their kinds watching people being killed

  • @Brentor14

Look, the death thing was just ONE example. It wasn't all like that. The fact is, this series just isn't for me. I personally never liked either the silver age of comics because of their lack of proper characterisation and stories that were utterly rediculous.

  • @Brentor14

You also seem to be misinterpreting me; I don't class myself as a "hard core transformers fan", NOR DID I SAY SO. I just someone who happens to enjoy truly well-writte, more complex shows, and I never liked these kinds of shows even when I WAS the target audience

  • @Mrspikeprime when did i say transformers you stupid illiterate fuck and like ive said if you dont like it dont watch it dont comment because thats the point of this show its a throw back to the original comic and the adam west series just stop while your behind

  • @Brentor14

OK, I'll admit, I messed up there when I said Transformers, that's just because I happened to also be reccomending my friend (RNRGammer) the new show.

Also, just remember that all I have said is opinion based. I'll say to you what I've said to many in the past: If you like it, go ahead and enjoy, I personally feel it's just a step in the wrong direction.

Final point: there is seriously no point in making assumptions of/plain-out insulting me just because you happen to disagree

  • @Floralian I agree. Except for Harley, she never looked like that. I mean, what is that? .__.

  • @EarKitsune That was a costume for the episode. Joker's plan that time around was using a silent movie theme.

  • @Floralian ikr the classical batman was like this sorta i guess not super dark like some of the modern ones

  • @Floralian People have different opinions, no need to insult how much of a fan they are.

  • @Floralian yes but it stop the batman with the dark story arc who is a tortured soul now it more like the Adam west series

  • @Floralian i don't hate this version, i find it funny.

  • @Floralian There's a difference between being a fan and being a blind follower of a franchise. You don't have to be mindlessly dedicated to everything that bears the brand of a franchise just because you enjoy some facets of it.

  • @munkekebab666 You're right there is probably some people out there that justify The Batman and Robin movie as masterpiece lol.

  • @munkekebab666 I love this show and I'm not a blind fan....in fact I hated that last Batman show....I think it was just called The Batman

  • instead if makeing Tv shows about this stuff they should stick to the games

  • In my Opinion Batman Brave and the bold Reminds me of that Age in Comics No one talks about...The Silver Age,This show is more Camp, More Goofy then the Batman We know and love

  • @Jokester6293

"The Batman we all know and love"? I HATE this version of Batman, I HATE IT WITH A PASSION. OK, it has a few nice touches here and there, but my problem is how every character in this entire series is just a boring, cheesy flat piece of cardboard. I hate the art style, the cheesy one-liners, the idiotic plot points like the batgorilla--A BAT GORILLA!!

If you like it, fine, enjoy. I'm going to go watch something with deep, meaningful stories and multi-dimensional characters.

  • @Jokester6293 I have the entire first season on dvd. Had since I was wee little :D

  • WTF?

  • My god batman is ruined forever! The only thing keeping my spark with batman is the Games right now but playing the till end and knowing what happens...yeah i might lose hope. :(

please someone bring back the original series! and DO IT RIGHT!!!!

  • @UndEADxShinobi96 The campyness is the reason why I didn't watch the show. I'm a Marvel fan, but I do enjoy watching any TV series with Batman in it. Brave & the Bold wasn't what I expected.

  • @KitsuneAdorable Im a marvel fan too cause almost all superheroes and villsins are interesting and awesome. I only like DC cause of batman, I love the villians and like how he doesnt have super powers. kinda like iron man except not a robotic suit.

Sure I have watched all batman related shows but batman tas was the best IMO. it felt darker and wasnt aimed just for kids like this silly crap.

  • @UndEADxShinobi96 batman isn't a TV show, he's a character.
