But my point was that basically anyone can drive forward, flat out- but not anyone can go sideways in a curvy slopes, drive fast and keep the car in line.

My point was that even though you don't appreciate drifting as it is, we all other do. And based on amateur driver's experience, It's lot easier to drive forward fast than sideways good. Professional driving is another case, then.

Everything has it's own catch, and my catch was just that- it requires more skill FROM AN AMATEUR DRIVER to drift than to drag properly.
