The bill would be good if it was just a public option without all the silly insurance mandates and the provisions that create like 5 or 10 new healthcare bureaucracies. There's one in there that essentially studies how to limit Medicare costs, if I recall. But then again, when has gov't EVER gotten on the ball when it comes to knowing how to cut costs effectively for a hugely-expensive program like Medicare?Let private firms figure it out and recommend to Congress.
