  • WE MISS YOU UNCLE. R.I.P. GM Rolando P. Dantes

  • best bloke you could ever meet...rip roland

  • wow i just read now that he has died! i was in a film with roland in 1992 called live by the fist. roland was not only a great actor but he showed me a photo of himself and arnold swartzanaggar from 1975 when he and arnold where in a competition together lifting weights.

also during the filming of the movie "live by the fist" in corraigador i had given my camera to a guy i thought was with our crew to take still shots, well i was wrong, roland went to hunt him down but to no avail.

  • Rolando Pintoy was my uncle. He married my Aunt in America in the 1970s. The marriage didn't last, but I knew him for about a year. He was a nice caring man. He showed me as a ten year old how to do some things with the Arnis fighting sticks. I looked him up on youtube and found he passed in 2009. I'll pass that along to my Aunt who is still living in her 70s in Maryland and Florida.

  • Rest In Peace Grand Master Roland Dantes.

  • I was very sad to hear of Rolands death.I lived close to his Australian house in Frankston in a outer suburb of Melbourne.Roland a I tried to get a film off the ground in the 90s.We shot as much as we could and tried to get further funding. The footage I have of you I will treasure even more.

  • Ah a great recall to highlights of Roland life. Nicely done and well presented thanks for the effort you took on it as well! I had never met him but prehaps you had?

He arrived on his last visit to the philippines mid Feb 09 and wasted no time in sharing his love for his art to so many in as far away as Lupon, Davao oriental where he was well recieved honored and loved by so many there as well as any where he went.

services for him in Antipolo, Mnl told of many that came to pay last respects
