I have been wandering out into a field each evening at 7 or 8pm when the deer seem to be more active and meeting them out there. I was surprised when they began to actually accept my presence, and relax enough to graze, scratch, poo, play etc. They still look at me quite a bit, and ocassionally a buck or doe will approach me curiously. I've got a little bit of footage. I may post up a video as I collect more. I agree, deer are beautiful, elegant creatures. A joy to watch!
I like it when people take appreciation for these wonderful creatures and to break the stereotypes that deer are a menace. They only attack when threatened and they don't usually bother humans. They are curious creatures! I wish hunters would stop spreading destructive lies about these beautiful and graceful deer!
Thanks for watching. I agree with you. Deer for the most part are peaceful creatures. Only during the rut/breeding season, will males attack. When they attack they can kill a human. Their hooves are like razor blades. So be careful and always respect wild animals.:)
I have a lake about 15 miles from where I live where I can regularly go out and see anywhere from 50 to 150 deer a day/night. I don't hunt them but I also don't judge anyone who does. The meat is tasty and they don't look near as cute when they hitting the hood of your car.
Yeah, I've hit several. Fortunately, the last one ran away, unharmed, my car unharmed as well.:) We were walking our property today, saw tracks left by a huge buck. We don't hunt, others are welcome to it if they choose, except on my land.:)
What? You mean from that ... bland adrenaline rush that any serious hunter gets when he's nailed a Deer at 600 yards away with a 30-06? Please. War is more exciting then Deer hunting. A sport is about equal competition. Genetically mount Guns to a Deers central nervous system, and we'll call it even. :)
That's some awesome video! Deer are so beautiful. I was lucky enough to see one come right out of the woods and was like 12 yards from me and got it on tape, it was very cool.
HA VERY elusive creatures!!!! Ya I did post the deer video but the quality of it isn't too great, unfortunetly. I saw another one 2 days ago just eating next to our driveway and tried to get in on camera ( I was like 15 ft away!) but it came out all fuzzy, oh well, NEXT TIME!!
haha same. And agreed, hunting is definetly cruel, I just like getting pictures/video of them- they're so much prettier when they're alive not mounted on a wall!
Deers are such beautiful, gentle animals.Four legs and a long body doesn't make them any different then humans. Live, breathe, eat, sleep...we're all the same
Precisly! I wish everyone felt the same way. I only hunt with a camera. Deer look so much prettier alive and standing on all fours than dead and mounted on a wall.
That's the only way I'll ever shoot one, with a camera! The first deer you see grazing along the roadside is just a few yards away from "bowhunters", but, it's way to small for them to be interested in. Legally, they should only take antlered deer. Ethically, they should take none in my opinion. They're way to beautiful to kill. But, to each their own!:)
The wild critters sure know you well, they just look and say,"There's Stardust with her camera again".I saw you gettin closer and closer and I heard I wanna ride it,and I thought my goodness she's going to jump on and take off,I am glad you didn't,who would film it? You know I love the deer.Great video,Thank You.
They are sooo cute!

I know, I can never get close enough or in good enough light to get a good shot, with my camera!lol
We don't hunt. I don't like hunting, it's cruel.

You got that right.:) I hate seeing animals stuffed, mounted and on display. I too would rather see them ALIVE.

They are so cute. I can't believe the stupid hunters just think it's okay to kill them >:( The deer run so cute lol

They are cute. I don't like them being hunted for sport either. It's just inhumane to kill something for pleasure. Deer are so much prettier alive.
Thanks for the nice comment.:)

Hunters aren´t supposed to shoot all animals. :) You on the other hand are. But only with your camera. Because that is what you do! :D
