  • cold start at 47 it was -16 here this morning idk what it would be like here......

  • How comfortable is it to drive? I've been thinking of getting one of those for a second car!

  • @ActiveWorldsLunitic Well it depends on what cars your used to driving. if you have a big luxery car it might feel like crap. but if you have the average car. the metro has ok comfort, good handling, ok power (3cyl= 55hp, 58torque, 5spd manual/ 4cyl= 75hp, automatic)

  • @jmoyet Well, I have a Camry, so that's far from being a luxury car! I just might check out a Metro if I see one!

  • @jmoyet im used to the ride of a 86 ranger. its a ride that i like. how do you think it would be in comparison?

  • @jmoyet im about 5'11'' do you think id fit in one of these? i know im close

  • @otacon451 its ok. im 5'11" and when i have the seat all the way back i cant push the clutch all the down without having to reach. though with the seat all the way back say good bye to leg room for who ever is behind you. haha

  • @jmoyet i just got a 5 spd 3 cyl yesterday!

  • @jmoyet Haha, would a 1991 GMC Suburban LSE count as a luxury car?

  • Ur dashboard is lit up like a freakin christmas tree!

And that screeching sounds so sweet.

  • Lol! Oh, ok. Sounds good

  • What is the point of this video?...

  • no clue.. lol

just uploaded it since i havent uploaded a video in a while before this video.

  • To make you ask " what is the point of this video?"

  • does the geo feel comfortable on the highway?

  • yeah its comfortable on the highway, but you also feel very tiny next to pickups and specially next to trucks. I cant imagine what it must feel like in a Smart Car next to a truck. lol

  • up here in canada we would find this just a little chilly but thats about plus 10 celsius

  • i started my car at about 4 degrees and it started as if it was 80 outside. 51 is really not a cold start but this is still a nice start vid.

  • Yeah it wasn't that cold it was only September.

I'll make another one during the winter.

  • there was like one week here in ny were it dropped to 37 its been nice out lately. i keep my car plugged in overnite if it gets really cold out. it keeps my tranny fluid and oil at a steady temp of 80 degrees. when i start my car at 10F the temp gauge is almost near normal temp. my sebring just hit 140K 3 days ago.

  • block heaters?

engines will last a long time past 200K with the right maintenance, just got to watch out for rust on the body.

heh i think the engine will outlast the body.. lol check out my "1997 Geo Metro Rust" video

  • well really a cold start is starting when engine temp ios same ( or close ) as outside air temp

  • ok cool

  • fix that belt man its easy.. car will run better and last longer..

  • it has always done that.. iv replaced the belt many times, replaced the water pump & alternator (needed to be replaced) stopped for a while and started doing it again... so i guess its part of the car.. lol

  • before it use to be worse but now it only does it when the engine is turned on cold.. then it goes away after 5 or 15 sec.

  • Did you try replaceing the belt tensioner?

  • the alternator is the tensioner in this car..

  • the belt has to be lose then. trying tightening it up more.. get a pry bar and make that shit tight.. sqeeky belts dont get the girls man.. lol

  • lol

the belt is as tight as it can be.

right now I'm fixing lots of mechanical problems at the moment. just last night i got done replacing the oil pan gasket. it was leaking oil all over the place the oil was even making its way to the passenger side wheel (DANGER!!).

and to my surprise the transmission was running only on a bit less than a quart of oil, I got the transmission oil topped off with 75W90 (recommended by Royal Purple.. i asked them.. hehe)

  • type &fmt=18 at the end of the link

  • did no good just made it worse

  • hmm... try &fmt=6

  • youtube does that to me sometimes... very annoying.

  • for some reason this vid keeps starting and stopping and its only this vid. its pissin me off cuz i wanna see it!!!
