Im going to get an MRI this week and i was told due to being afriad of the MRI machine the doc is giving me a valium before, I'm scared to take valium do to the effects and the feeling being drunk.

I take Methadone 20ml in 9am,it is save to take dizepam in 2pm..i dont take methatone and Diazepam toghther but i hold off for hour 6-12hour..or 9am methadone and Diazepam 5mg or 10mg. in 9-10pm before i sleep.it is dangerous..can it be lethal..i know take together in sometime can be lethal cause death.but how about hold for hour.plz i need to know.but my doctor said it ok..i still dont believe coz i google some information said it can be fatal

@sayyid14 You can stop it, and you must stop it immediately. What you feel pain wise in the beginning will be a hundred times better than what it will be like coming off later. A family member of mine was addicted to methadone. He nearly died and went off the rails. It took him 5 years to get his life back on track, still feeling the effects to this day, but he went through government rehab now is in final year of uni. You can do it too.

I tried this drug once, very little happened in the way of treating my anxiety . All I can remember is that I felt a bit dizzy then woke up the next day feeling kinda depressed. If you want to get treatment for anxiety just go for therapy - like talk to a professional about it instead of popping pills.
I'd much rather living with the fact that Valium is addictive. But I've lived with Severe Anxiety Disorder for 20 Years Plus. The feeling of panic and fear go with Valium. I know what all drs say. But if a tablet works then use it. Valium works for me and hardly any side effects. When they took me of Valium they gave me amytryptyline and the antipsychotic chlorpromazine. Helped a bit but caused me to sleepwalk and fall down the stairs. And severe sexual dysfunction. So he'll give me Valium back
Pot is much better ,the only one that worked for me, honest. with pot i could have regular bowl movents , wanted a poo as soon as i smoked , pot gave me the appetite to eat and also relaxed me. I was able to function after the initial short lived high , not unpleasent side affect , most of all i had an eating disorder no appetite , pot gave me an appetite , gave me a sound natural sleep . valium nearly desroyed me.

I took my mom to the ER last night for severe back pain and they turned her away with piddly pills that did nothing. We went to another ER today and they finally gave her Valium plus Norcodeine. Now she can sleep, and isn't screaming every time she has to get up or use the bathroom. The fist ER doctor was trying to cover his ass and didn't give her the appropriate meds because of people like you in the comments fucking it up for legitimately injured people. Thanks.

@sampleforyou weed can actually seriously enhance any anxiety. I would suggest not taking valium or smoking weed if you experience anxiety and talking to a councellor, naturopath

Just try some melatonin or something, can get it over the counter, is what is produced naturally in the body and can be deficient in people who have sleeping problems; also can help to produce more vivid dreaming. Last thing you want is to use a benzo on a regular basis to sleep, the tolerance build up is ridiculous and coming down is not pretty.

I, for one, prefer sometimes taking 2x10mg ampules, orally, after a slight interval. Not as much of an euphoriant as, say, opiates or GHB, but is always works.
No shitty feelings, no hangover, and no craving. For example, opiates screw up my mind real bad, GHB is WAY too intoxicating, and, say, Phenazepam is outright dysphoric.
Benzos are good - just use them, as anything else, in moderation.
Valiums or any benzos are ok for a few days. Take them for a few months or longer and its one of the worse withdrawls imaginable. I've been through 4 differnent WDs and Benzos takes the cake.
Valium is just tops. I had a nervous breakdown four years ago and after seeking every non-drug treatment for anxiety I could think of, I finally decided I'd rather treat the symptoms as I'd given up hope of ever curing myself of this anxiety. Over the course of two years I tried every anti-anxiety drug I could think of and Valium is the only one that worked. Granted, I'll probably have to take it for the rest of my life, but that's a far better alternative than being filled with constant dread.

If you haven't tried this med, simply ask your doc about "Benzo Withdrawal Syndrome" (effect from long term Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan=Lorazepam), and request he/she look it up at (yes, even) Wikipedia, as that's about the only place you'll get a straight answer!!!

Just like all benzos and SSRI's, these only cover up your anxiety/depression. You really need to find the core of your problems and fix them, not just temporarily cover them up... Psychotherapy is the best way.

@Thrashvel Sometimes its not an event in your life causing these problems... It can also be a chemical imbalance in your brain... I go and talk to a counselor twice a week, they cant find the "core" of my problems... Its Called Bipolar I disorder (previously known as manic depression). So please save your chicken soup for the soul for people with post traumatic stress and accept that anxiety/depression is a real disease and those suffering from it deserve a little respect.

Just a quick note. Valium stays in the body for 8 days (200hrs) so it is COMPLETELY normal to feel its effects for up to 4 days (ie: less shyness, loss of balance) I learned this the hard way. Took 100-120mg no tolerance and had a great sleep but was practically drunk for 3 days
Valium is also one of the most dangerous withdrawls (more so then alcohol and heroin) after prolonged use.
Some people on Benzo's for decades can't come off it as it can induce seizure.
My Dr's wont prescribe it to me ( well one did for a bit ) temazepam that is, and although I can get it just down the street for a 1$ a pill I dont bother, it gets to be too much of a security blanket.
alcohol yes, heroin although very very painful and brutal is not so much (except in heavy heavy withdrawls) however usually with heroin it's bone aches, runny nose, puking, diahreah etc

I used smoke weed for my axiety and sleep problems. My wife has a very negative attitude towards weed. SO I started taking dapezam for sleep and anxiety. The shit fucks you up, you are left drowsy the next day and very thirsty. AS for weed when smoked it and fell asleep , I woke up mint fresh, my mind used me burting with fresh energy.
Fuck! never knew it shouldnt be combined with SSRI's!! Makes a lot of sense.. Still buy it over the internet for OCD/ tic disorder,, but feel so much better now theyve switched me from SSRI's to mirtazapine n propranolol.. Valium rule as far as my condition goes, especially when facing the public world/ life.. But its only worth taking if you got an anxiety disorder really - if your relaxed anyway its just gonna sedate you to sleep, not chill you the fuck out

@adegamisoumounopano If you ''always'' feel anxious,than you can get easily hooked on this drug and it looses effectivity with time and you will need an increasingly higher amount of it.That's the way it works for a lot of poeple.I have an open minded doctor that prescribes benzo's for me,but I only use bromazepam for sleep eveyday,but diazepam during the day only in very rare cases!Be careful!

You'll be SO fucked if you decide valium cures you of anything, people. It's for short term only - if you take it for more than a week, then you get addicted and it stops relaxing you, and after that you have to keep taking more. When you're hooked on several valium a day, and you stop, you'll probably have seizures. Want to find out what seizures are the hard way? Take valium.

i'm on 6mg klonipin (2mg TID) and I find Valium more sedating, but the anti anxiety effects are approx = 1mg clonazapam to 10-20mg Valium; but the Valium just knocks me out!

Pot is much better ,the only one that worked for me, honest. with pot i could have regular bowl movents , wanted a poo as soon as i smoked , pot gave me the appetite to eat and also relaxed me. I was able to function after the initial short lived high , not unpleasent side affect , most of all i had an eating disorder no appetite , pot gave me an appetite , gave me a sound natural sleep . valium nearly desroyed me.

I took my mom to the ER last night for severe back pain and they turned her away with piddly pills that did nothing. We went to another ER today and they finally gave her Valium plus Norcodeine. Now she can sleep, and isn't screaming every time she has to get up or use the bathroom. The fist ER doctor was trying to cover his ass and didn't give her the appropriate meds because of people like you in the comments fucking it up for legitimately injured people. Thanks.

These work a treat at festivals if you are doing lots of uppers. Just do 10mg when you wanna go to sleep and wake up 12 hours later after completely sleeping through the comedown. Just try some melatonin or something, can get it over the counter, is what is produced naturally in the body and can be deficient in people who have sleeping problems; also can help to produce more vivid dreaming. Last thing you want is to use a benzo on a regular basis to sleep, the tolerance build up is ridiculous and coming down is not pretty.

I, for one, prefer sometimes taking 2x10mg ampules, orally, after a slight interval. Not as much of an euphoriant as, say, opiates or GHB, but is always works.
No shitty feelings, no hangover, and no craving. For example, opiates screw up my mind real bad, GHB is WAY too intoxicating, and, say, Phenazepam is outright dysphoric.
Benzos are good - just use them, as anything else, in moderation.
Mellow, content and very relaxed.

Valium is just tops. I had a nervous breakdown four years ago and after seeking every non-drug treatment for anxiety I could think of, I finally decided I'd rather treat the symptoms as I'd given up hope of ever curing myself of this anxiety. Over the course of two years I tried every anti-anxiety drug I could think of and Valium is the only one that worked. Granted, I'll probably have to take it for the rest of my life, but that's a far better alternative than being filled with constant dread.

If you haven't tried this med, simply ask your doc about "Benzo Withdrawal Syndrome" (effect from long term Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan=Lorazepam), and request he/she look it up at (yes, even) Wikipedia, as that's about the only place you'll get a straight answer!!!

Just like all benzos and SSRI's, these only cover up your anxiety/depression. You really need to find the core of your problems and fix them, not just temporarily cover them up... Psychotherapy is the best way.

I go and talk to a counselor twice a week, they cant find the "core" of my problems... Its Called Bipolar I disorder (previously known as manic depression). Just a quick note. Valium stays in the body for 8 days (200hrs) so it is COMPLETELY normal to feel its effects for up to 4 days (ie: less shyness, loss of balance) I learned this the hard way. Took 100-120mg no tolerance and had a great sleep but was practically drunk for 3 days

Valium is also one of the most dangerous withdrawls (more so then alcohol and heroin) after prolonged use.
Some people on Benzo's for decades can't come off it as it can induce seizure.
My Dr's wont prescribe it to me ( well one did for a bit ) temazepam that is, and although I can get it just down the street for a 1$ a pill I dont bother, it gets to be too much of a security blanket.

alcohol yes, heroin although very very painful and brutal is not so much (except in heavy heavy withdrawls) however usually with heroin it's bone aches, runny nose, puking, diahreah etc
different neurochemicals are effected, gaba is incredibly dangerous to mess with, where as endorphins(heroin) not as lethal

the worst withdrawal experiance to go through due to muscle spasm, headaches, insomnia, constipation, diarrhea, bone pain, muscle pain, severe depression, suicidal thoughts(in my experience),muscle cramps, etc., it only causes death in extreme and rare cases. Opiate W/D's can only cause seizures when the person is coming off of EXTREMELY HIGH DOSES of a POWERFUL OPIATE.

Still buy it over the internet for OCD/ tic disorder,, but feel so much better now theyve switched me from SSRI's to mirtazapine n propranolol.. Valium rule as far as my condition goes, especially when facing the public world/ life.. @adegamisoumounopano actually valium is for that, but in long term use can cause depresion and lethargy, and if you stop take it your going to feel worst anxiety

@DendrilopisXaggro that sucks... there's always some kind of bad side effect. i was taking xanax for a month but quit it because it would make me always wanna sleep. then without it i couldn't sleep.. now im fine though... i still experience anxiety, but just dealing with side effects from drugs make you realize that you are your only cure.. and that you cant depend on anything to make you feel better but your own perspective on life...its a real battle!

You'll be SO fucked if you decide valium cures you of anything, people. It's for short term only - if you take it for more than a week, then you get addicted and it stops relaxing you, and after that you have to keep taking more. When you're hooked on several valium a day, and you stop, you'll probably have seizures. Want to find out what seizures are the hard way? Take valium.

@chunkybongo you will only get addicted to valium in that short amount of time if your doing it for recreational puposes. Ive been taking it for a month and iam not addicted.

Valium is garbage yo. I right for a metical magazeene and this shit is wack. My homboy got all hooked on this shit after a break up with this ho. and then he quit this shit and had a seezure. man that shit was for real yo. I was like pooky wat that matter with u. so i just got swtiched 4mgs of klonopin a day to four 5mgs of valium. i feel as if its a decreased dose which it should not be jus a switch, it feels more like 1mgs of klonopin is equal to 10mgs of valium. am i wrong?

i'm on 6mg klonipin (2mg TID) and I find Valium more sedating, but the anti anxiety effects are approx = 1mg clonazapam to 10-20mg Valium; but the Valium just knocks me out!
