  • the tiger at 2:25 looked so funny. I say inbred more like that.

  • What happens if a white tiger is breed with a naturally colored tiger? What's the offspring like?

  • @Zachmacf It depends on the genetics of the individual tigers, whether or not they have the recessive gene that cause the white color etc...

  • @Zachmacf Normal tiger is born. Not white.

  • @Gnarnical I personally think an enclosed area is just fine if it mimics their natural habitat. In fact, animals in captivity often live longer, so it's acceptable if they are treated well. Also, big cat rescue take care of many cats that are recovering or have not experience in the wild. Zabu was born in a zoo, and has no experience in the wild. On top of which, they said themselves that their white fur makes it hard for them to catch prey by surprise. Zabu is probably best off in captivity.

  • Shouldn't wild animals, you know, live in the wild? Natural habitats? That looks like an enclosed area if you ask me, and no way would a tiger or a lion or any animal that belongs in the wild want to live anywhere near humans (naturally), unless they wanted to eat us.

  • @Cheekyiggy21 It's not that they're sick, it's that they are being inbreed. I don't actually know much about this subject, but supposedly they end up picking up more bad genes then good genes from it.

  • Oh by the way.... Are tigers better than lions? Thanks

  • Wait.... We're suppose to let white tigers die out cause their sick! And save healthy orange tigers! Why can't you just save both of them! Nobody wants orange tigers to die out nor white tigers!

  • @cheekyiggy21 they're saying that we should de-sex all current white tigers and provide better living conditions for the wild population. White tigers are not healthy and most would be living in constant pain, thus breeding two animals with genetic defaults is not responsible for any animal including cats and dogs. Would you buy a pet if you knew its parents are closely related? it isn't responsible and should not be supported in any way, shape or form.

  • snow tigers are real theese are inbred sadly...they are so beatiful

  • They should just make all animal inbreeding illegal...

  • 20 years? Forgive me if this sound contrary (don't mean to) but where does that number come from?

  • @heislukos Leading experts have estimated that if the rate of poaching continues this is how long tigers have in the wild before they are gone forever...

  • holy .. only 20 YEARS?!

  • Although ive known white tigers were a product of breeding and inter breeding for many years and i dont normally like things people have messed with but they are probably my fave animal of all ...very sad to see the health complications it causes and also the fact they have even less chance surviving in the wild than orange tigers , which is slim to none anyway the way things are going :(

  • I like to think I am well informed person, unfortunately even I didn’t know about this... I think a lot press awareness is needed!!

  • i dont think the pic on 2:22 will get a mate .-. im sorry

  • Is it me or does Zabu like stalking the camera's a lot? Most of the time I see her in vid's that it usually what she seems like she's doing.

  • @101FallingRock You're right, she doesn't like me (the camera guy), well it's 50/50 so I can often get shots of her stalking and pouncing at me!

  • @BigCatRescue usually shots are done very far away, large zoom lenses are often used

  • Vanity and money are all people care about anymore.

  • How can I help?

  • that is sad i love tigers they dont deserve this shit screw those people that torture these awesome animals :(

P.S. keep on doing what your doing to save them;)

  • Eh, I prefer orange Tigers anyway. =) (Unfortunately, my favorite kind of Tiger, the Maltese Tiger, is probably extinct. =()

  • :((

  • how strange there's white tigers and theres white lions and black leopards and jaguars. i hardly found a pictures of a white cougar and a black cougar.

  • I´m from Mexico, you´re doing a wonderful job, it´s really sad, what happening with big cats, i wish this wonderfuls animals stay for a long time in our planet.

P.D: Sorry for my bad english.

  • @MsPatyma Thanks, we're doing our best and will keep doing it :) Happy New Year!

  • It's too sad

  • They're my favorite

  • This is so sad. I couldn't even look at that deformed white tiger.

  • @Leopardpool07 'That deformed white tiger' is Kenny. He represents a dirty secret of the selfish and egotistic breeders, who would rather hide the fact that this happens by killing the cubs born with those obvious ailments, who are 'worthless' to them. Kenny deserves to be honored, so please look at him with respect. He was allowed to live and cared for with love. The education his life provides is priceless. Let's never forget him!

  • @thefelinepunk, the Black Rhino is not extinct, but one subspecies is, the western Black Rhino o there still is hope yet :) your so right though about tigers, I was recently reading in Nat Geo mag about breeding sanctuaries in India and how high the death toll is for all newly bred tigers; competition, accidents and illegal poaching even in the zoos and sanctuaries :(

  • Big cat rescue will you respond?

  • They need to do what they did with the snow leopards... Make it beneficiary for the the locals living with the tigers such as sharing tourism profits.

  • So this is incest

  • @2:24 A West Virginian tiger.

  • It's so sad to me to think about tigers only having 20 more years... the Black Rhino was officially declared extinct only about a month ago, and I was so hurt and sad that humans seem to care so little for the other creatures of this planet. We can't abide one more lost species.

  • The human race is a virus on this earth

Nature needs to begin culling us en mass

BigCatRescue is doing a wonderful job.

Pity these animals can't be let back into the wild

  • white tigers break my heart, i went to a zoo a couple years ago and it featured a pacing depressed white tiger, knowing the signs it tore me apart that it was so upset. i refused to get near it or even gake picture of it and started bawling in the middle of the zoo. i hate that we have to in breed them making them unhealthy and angry.i wish we could all just take care of the animals wehave naturally in stead ofthefake ones, the ones that are unhappy with the lifestyle they are given.

  • excuse me she saying that the white skin is bad for blending in ....most of the time ive seen white tiger were in snow ...and white and white..good blending in

  • @Tobius11 I doubt you've seen them in the snow as they are not something that is found in the wild except for genetic flukes. Do a little research and you'll find that not even the Siberian tiger is white and it's a tiger that lives in the snow.

  • @Tobius11 you're probably thinking of snow leopards not white tigers.

  • Have we not learned from the past? The same thing happened to the Egyptian pharaohs, & look how they ended up.

  • Hay did anyone here about that white tiger thing on the news? It's funy! Ok

So there were thees people who were walking in the forest and they saw a white tiger! Then they ran away and told some other people about it. And then they went in a helicopter to see it and wen the did find it they let this rope down too ketch it and then hahahaha the white tiger blew over it was a STUFT ANIMAL!! Lol the whole time! They probably thought they were idiots after that! Hahaha

  • Tigers are not the only animals suffering from inbreeding.

  • regular tigers are MUCH more beautiful.

  • Thanks, BCR, for sharing this important information about white tiger inbreeding. I think I first learned about it through your posts several years ago, and have been trying to spread the word every since. Unfortunately places like Six Flags Discovery Kingdom still have white tigers (along with other animals) and in their show, say nothing about the inbreeding problem. I hope more people seeing this video will share it and get things changed.

  • I loved this deformed white tiger - Kenny - I saw him at Turpentine Creek Wildife Refuge for many years before he died. They rescued him fron horrible conditions. Hopefully this video will help people to realize the dangers of inbreeding Big Cats.

  • Oh that's so sad... However I read somewhere that to compensate their physical disadvantage, white tigers were slightly bigger, is that right? But it's sad anyway :(

  • @R0guishR0bin I don't think there's any truth in this.

  • 2:22 herp derp

  • how terrible are people to breed and in-breed these animals. terrible --- Sent From BigCatRescue's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • White tigers are nothing more than animal abuse :/ --- Sent From BigCatRescue's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • 2:22, looks like my girlfriend.

  • Its like an anorexic model ;beautiful on the outside but hurt in the inside /: i think these tigers are soo pretty, but not pretty enough to breed them and create another one to suffer. Like if you agree<33

  • @bunnieboo121 Anorexics are not pretty

  • Black Tigers? Do they exist? I cannot find a sample picture online that doesn't look photo-shoped.

  • @DLegato There's no reliable evidence of a black tiger ever existing, there have been reports. The photos I have seen of a "black tiger" are simply of a tiger which has larger black stripes, that from a distance could appear black...

  • Most beautiful tiger ever.

  • People r so dumb. How can one be so stupid?

  • I am a Zoologist, also known as a Zoo Veterinarian, who specializes in tigers so I know a lot about them. I'm sorry to say but this has a few mistakes in it. Two examples of them in this work are "white Tigers do not exist in the wild" and "the kind of severe inbreeding that is required to produce the mutation of a white coat also causes a number of other defects in these big cats." Don't get me wrong, I like what you guys are trying to do here, but please do a little more research next time.

  • @kayelnlangelirx0x she did make a distinction with Siberian tigers.. can you please elaborate on how those 2 statements are wrong?

white tigers (in the wild) have a big disadvantage hence are selected against as their predator stealth capacity is compromised.

and inbreeding causes the gene pool to remain relatively homozygous.. increasing probability of harmful recessive allele retention.

i don't understand what you are talking about (being a zoologist).. please elaborate

  • @kayelnlangelirx0x ...... you're a zoologist? have you seen your youtube channel

  • This video needs more views!!

  • I will help I'm going to donate I little if my mom let's me and there's white tiger, white lion, snow leopard, but no white cheetah! What's with that? I think God should have made a white cheetah :)

  • They are such magnificent animals!

  • We don't need to inbreed them. There's obviously a sustainable population to not inbreed. Just don't imbreed and conserve the orange tigers as well. it aint that difficult for an organization like this to do this on their own.

  • @NeoxideMolten eventually they become imbread

  • Ok.... .something must be wrong. nope. you guys are amazing. you all are so kind to big cats. heroes. you guys deserve so much more than you have. i am going to donate tomorrow! kinda tired..... but you guys rock, keep up the good work, and merry christmas!

  • I'am confussed,....the person who posted this says ..."thus all white tigers are cross eyed". Why is it this video shows many of the white tigers with perfect eyes? Clearly something is not right with this story.

And if this is a bad thing, then why do several dozen of the zoo's belonging to the Americian Zoo and Aquarium Association have them? Some are even the zoo's flagship animal.

  • @mainmanneally All white tigers are cross-eyed. Every one, even if the yes /look/ perfect. This is because the genetic defect that causes them also causes the crossed eyes. If you look at pictures of white tigers the crossed eyes are more apparent in some than they are in others. Why do zoos have them? Because we pay to see them and they need the money.

  • @mainmanneally They also say in the video, the tiger may not look cross eyed but they are. Keep listening.

  • @mainmanneally This video just features our only white tiger at the sanctuary Zabu. The same gene that causes the white coat causes the optic nerve to be wired to the wrong side of the brain, thus all white tigers are cross eyed, even if their eyes look normal.

  • the deformities... oh the Humanity! 0_o

  • I did not know these facts. Indeed they are beautiful, but since it is harming them......then it needs to stop! I just shared this video on Facebook, s my friends could see it & share it too.

  • @tjk200081 *with* my friends.

  • Disgusting, I find the white ones not that beautiful anyway.►2:22◄Another example of a sodomized society.

  • WTF?

Her eyes aren't blue at all.

  • @RealTenryuken actually they are you just have to see them in the right lighting. =)

  • wired to the wrong side of the brain? Do you mean the left is wired where the right should be and viceversa? I'd like to read about, never heard of such particular deformity

  • @Veikra Correct, if you visit our website BigCatRescue*org you will find our page about white tigers with more info :)

  • so beautiful yet so sad.

  • I just love all kinds of cat animals :)

  • and on more thing do you guys disapprove of christan the lion because i love that story and i think the lion actally liked them because when they came back to africia the lion remembered them and played with them

  • @whitetiger769 Well, we disapprove of keeping wild animals as "pets", luckily this was banned in the UK in 1976 so they do not have the problem that USA does.

  • hey when you guys go to pick up big cat crap do they ever spay like for territory reasons

  • @whitetiger769 They're not really territorial over their feces but they do spray to mark their territory all the time and sometimes they catch you unexpectedly!

  • @BigCatRescue lol

  • I want to marry Zabu

  • Surely not ever white tiger is inbred. Inbreeding stops after a couple of generations, so if you keep a sustainable amount of rare white tigers(not all descending from the same one, as it is just a pigment mutation that can happen to more than one) for breeding(not saying that it is okay to house animals purely for breeding) well then they are not all inbred, contrary to what you've said.

  • @Gaz10t ALL white tigers are direct descendants of the same white tiger that was caught in India some decades ago, so yes all white tigers are inbred to some extent and all run the risk of horrible health problems.

  • unfortunatly humans have had a very primitive stone aged mind with stone age ideals for a very long time, and now it is saddly to late for many animals to live one from how much we have changed the world in bad ways, lets hope it is not to late for the tigers

  • my idea to save the tigers: allow to shoot the poachers :D

  • I'm sharing and favouriting this. The title says it all to me, but this is still a fact that many don't know. Up until 2 years ago I had been "educated" that white tigers were like a blonde haired blue eyed version of humans. I was shocked to hear it was not true.

Spread the word people, there are so many who don't know that the white tiger is animal cruelty.

  • @rednogo Thanks for helping spread the word :)

  • White tiger breeding is just as bad as ''liger'' breeding, the new to my knowledge trend of mating a tiger with a lion. The sad thing is greed will always win and will be the end of us.

  • now i know...

  • Indeed, those two assholes with their show in Vegas should watch this film. :-(

    /watch?v=u7IRJVdaatQ

  • 2:22 woooah wtf, not so beauitful but sadly can be the result and people dont realize it

  • sadly they are beautiful but would not last long in the wild or any animal that are born albino. horrible for hunting

  • I did not know this. Thank you for this important info.

  • Man, I'm jealous of the 2 highest rated comments, so... grand with words :) There're 3 white tigers in the Singapore Zoo and they're living quite well (in the same enclosure) I wish those who harm animals would change... But I know they'll go to hell if they don't.

  • @babylikesumsuga09 AND they really do disappear! It's amazing. You'd think with all that orange, they'd stick out like a stop sign, but when I visited Shambala Preserve in September, you could not see the tigers in the shade! I took some pictures that were "I THINK there was a tiger in there" and finally messed with the exposure before I could see them! They're beautiful.

  • This is not pleasant, but it has to be known. I'm sure most people wouldn't pay for and enjoy white tiger acts if they knew this.

  • does inbreeding include cousin to cousin?

  • @CrazyForPianosGirl NO COUSIN TO COUSIN IS NOT INBREEDING THATS NOT INCENT EITHER IN MANY COUNTRIES AND RELIGIONS COUSIN TO COUSIN MARRIAGE IS ALLOWED BUT IF COUSINS ARE CROSSED WITH COUSINS FOR MORE THAN 3 - 5 GENERATIONS THEN THERE IS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM IN THE OFFSPRINGS, I MYSELF LOVE MY COUSING AND INSHALLAH (BY GOD `S WILL) I M GONNA MARRY HER NEXT YEAR

  • @Wolverinex3000 ewww

  • @rednogo what do u mean ewww cousin to cousin marriage is not incent

  • @Wolverinex3000 pervert... You don´t get a girlfriend, so you must inbreed with your family :D Capt'n Caps :D

  • @2Sophista2 what are you crazy I` m a muslim we dont keep girlfriends or boyfriends i mean a lot of muslims now a days do but according to our religion we are not supposed to and cousins are part or the family but their blood is differant and there is no problem scientifically and socially to marry a cousin cuz that is not incentive at all

  • @2Sophista2 and marrying a cousin doesnt make a person a pervert as u know

  • @Wolverinex3000 and as a matter of fact my fiancee (cousin) is the daugther of my uncles cousin so we dont have a direct family link anyways

  • Why must we destroy every thing we touch?

  • 20 years?......

  • This was emotional & EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE!!! I always say a prayer at night to St. Francis Of Assisi,(Patron Saint Of Animals) not only for my own pet cat Sandy that is going through a small, but god willing fully healable crisis of his own but for also all the Big Cats out there in the wild & captivity, as well as the blessed soldiers on staff & volunteers down at Big Cat Rescue every single night! Anyone who <3's cats should do the same, regardless of religious beliefs! Thank You! :D

  • Not all animals are innocent but in this case. This is horrible. We need to end siblings breeding, its not right.

  • Here Come The Tears :'(

  • no offense but i wish you guys didn't have too exist and personoly i think elephants are the best

  • @whitetiger769 We agree, that's our ultimate goal to put ourselves out of "business" Elephants are cool too! :)

  • @BigCatRescue i love tigers too and i keep watching this and it makes me sad :'(

  • @BigCatRescue cool fact about tigers if you mess with them they kill you it's a fact lol

  • you just hatin on me lol jk

  • ANIMALS are INNOCENT!!!)) Awesome videos!!!

  • @TheRASPUZIO Thanks for watching!!

  • Humans are evil, animals are innocent.

  • You guys at BCR are true heroes!

  • Awesome video BCR, thanks for all your hard work!

  • How could you tell if a big cat in inbred by the look of them?

  • @Gaz10t With some you can't, but when it comes to white tigers you know they are all inbred

  • Bred in captivity, not in nature. --- Sent From BigCatRescue's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • i actually like the brown ones more, they are more my colour:)

  • I have the same issues with ligers (and tigons) as I do with white tigers--they are not liable to live full, healthy lives, and ligers too often result in the death of the mother due to gigantism and the necessity for a C-section.

  • It's like Jurassic Park: Just because we can doesn't mean that we should.

  • Still beautiful!

  • if i was extremly ritch, one of the first things i'd do is spend my money on saving tiger's environments, tightning the security and other stuff to keep poachers (biggest peaces of shit on earth) away and making owning pet big cats illegal.

  • Love you guys, and I support you

  • keep them orange and keep them in the wild

  • This particular topic, white tigers, means a lot to me. I've made presentations in school and I make sure to tell everyone I see who mentions a white tiger what the truth is. I wish people weren't so dang ignorant and I wish the government would do something about it. I honestly believe that more environmental and animal conservation classes should be required. Our earth and everything living on it should be most important to us. The truth should be important

  • ...this made me cry...

  • 20 years for tigers in the wild? That will mean my kids won't get to see real wild tigers... That is so sad!

  • I said this in my speech in tigers once. I was so happy i could educate everyone on it. ^_^

  • I have 2 questions. 1. Where do you always get this AWESOME music from? 2. There are also white lions. Is this the same with them?

  • @Cornka5 1. incompetech*com great site which we donate to. 2. Yes it's the same with white lions bred in captivity :(

  • @BigCatRescue thanks for answering so fast :) and wow thanks for sharing this. I did not know at all. I thought white tigers are like snow leopards or something who adapted to a snowy (or for another reason white) region. This really opened my eyes.

  • I have to admit these cats are beautiful and stunning but the price they have to pay for our enjoyment is cruel.

  • wow i never knew that, thank you very much for spreading this information.

  • I think you need a better sound studio....

  • Humans can be so cruel. To think we breed tigers to be white only for show, not thinking about the said white tiger. It'll have a live behind bars, and it could have deformations and illnesses. Saving the wild tigers is what we should be doing instead. It's not like we are the only animal on Earth that matters. All animals matter. They teach us, sometimes motivate and inspire, and they are a beautiful sight, in the wild. Wild is beautiful, wild is their lives, wild should be now and forever.

  • We should not breed better, 'like we do with dogs' . The only thing 'we' ( all members of the human race) should do is god damn quit playing god in creation and just let nature take it's course! Who gave us the right to alter other species just to our liking? Who gave us the right to just take out of nature for whatever purposes, but good ones? I guess mankind just can not do without its slaves! We all agree on incest being a bad thing, but still we want our inbred white tigers........

  • @gyqz We are nature. You silly person.

  • @lightsodda Ohno....we have turned against nature long time ago!

  • @gyqz

God created? lol get the hell out of here.

  • @LKxDESIGN And I am even an atheist......go guess!!

  • @gyqz That sounds nice in theory - that's why your comment has many "likes" -, but it's a very, very bad idea. Taking a medicine isn't letting nature take it's course and most modifications through different species interactions occur naturally (concurrent evolution). The problem described by BigCatRescue is not a generalization - BigCatRescue is not letting nature take it's course when helping those animals. duh!

  • @pedroamaralcouto Taking medicine is natural, if that medicine is made out of pure natural ingredients...like people used to and quite some animals do today! I know and believe in the natural evolution, but can you honestly tell me that you know of any other species, that modifies another species just because they like it that way? BigCatRescue is merely doing what others refuse to : trying to give human experiments a home to live...cleaning up other one's mess!!

  • @gyqz If medicine is natural just because is made out of pure natural ingredients - although it's chemically synthetized - , then everything is natural. Human beings are natural, fences are natural, behaviours are natural, etc. Ants enslave other ants and domesticate aphids like cattle, which became defenceless by their own over time. That's an example of concurrent evolution. I'm not criticising BigCatRescue - I'm refuting your arguments which do not apply to BigCatRescue work.

  • @gyqz I was waiting a reply by now... Humans do not create white tigers. They appear naturally. What humans can do is protect them from hunger and avoid them to reproduce. The problem is let them reproduce in an artificial environment creating tigers which cannot hunt properly to eat for profit that could be used for other causes. What BigCatRescue tried to do is desmystify some beliefs about the white tigers showing that it's not a good thing to make a population of white tigers.

  • @gyqz I´d rather see no white tigers, than tortured tigers. It´s the same with the meat. I´d rather eat no animal, as eating a animal, who suffer his whole life.

  • I had no idea they weren't natural.

Thank you so much for enlightening us.

20 year left for the wild tiger.

I am so sad for our youth.

  • @MobRulesNow They are natural, it's just they don't normally survive in the wild.

  • @0mega7000 did you not watch the video thoroughly? how are they natural?

  • @soheee The fuck are you on? Of course they are natural, where do you think humans got them from in the first place? Just because the majority of "white" tigers are bred by humans does not mean they do not get born in the wild. They get born more often then you'd think, it's just with the genetic defects and with their white fur making them stick out like a sore thumb they don't last very long in the wild.

  • @0mega7000 The are very rarely natural.

They breed the damaged animals until they get an animal that "looks normal" but they are far from normal.

They are plagued with health problems and live in pain.

It's not normal. Maybe that's the word I should have used.

They are rarely, naturally occurring, but are not normal.

  • =( this makes me sad, their so beautiful

thankyou for bringing awareness to things like these.

  • tigers are beautiful yet deadly.

  • 0:49 that crocodile is casper from australia zoo
