@ExpReSs0o8 You have to recover the refrigerant from the system first, yes. Many shops will charge just a one-time fee for recovering, waiting for you to do whatever work you're going to do to the system, then evacuating and recharging when you return.
I wouldn't suggest letting it bleed out into the air, and the EPA doesn't take too kindly to that either. If your system is already completely discharged from a leak, then there's nothing to worry about.
@m3thinking No videos yet. Alternator removal is easy, just a small space to work in. Remove the belt, rop the compressor down (no need to discharge the system), remove both bolts, power feed and harness connector, then it comes out through the bottom.
That's my other car, still...under construction. Took the whole front end down to replace the core support (you don't need to remove radiator/condensor to do so, though). Makes an excellent example vehicle for stuff you can't see on a complete car.
dont you have to decompress the compressor first??
