My brother George is going on his 31st yr of life in prison, a lifer. Last month we saw him, he told us about the kid he just met, 20yrs old, just got there, for a life sentence. George turned 21 in prison doing life without parole....it's hard. Too bad schools got rid of the scared straight programs....

I guess I'm just old, because I love this song not because of some stupid movie, but because when I was 10 I loved it and it still holds true to anyone that didn't listen to thier parents, #%&%$^&(*^% what ever movie.
i got this song from the strangers. People say that it scares them now. It doesnt scare me at all, i love the song and the strangers. That movies makes me happy.
@TheChampion613 Let me share something with you. The first time I ever heard of Social Distortion, was on guitar hero. Since then I've listened to almost every song they've made, and I was so moved that I got their emblem tattooed onto my arm. I'm not saying that SOME people aren't like those you describe, but I don't think it's fair to alienate a whole group of people like that.
@Fishsticks187 well. There are very few people like you. Most people just hear a new song and listen to it for a few weeks or so and don't really get into it.
@TheChampion613 its all good dude, i saw this in The Strangers, and i says to myself, hey this is a good song. and now i've been introduced to a whole new genre of good ass music
@TheS1DN3Y your english is pretty good, dude. you dont need to apologize. learning a new language is pretty hard. you should look up the grateful dead cover of this song. great band. and the strangers DID make this song freaky, but that isnt why i looked it up.
@TheChampion613 Well, I feel cool... I haven't seen The Strangers. I'm just an Okie from the college town next to Lochapokie. NATL CHAMPIONS 2010 REPRESENT.
@griffinisbeast14 it's good. but people should just look it up when they actually want to listen to it. not because it was in a movie. I highly doubt after watching that movie, that people would be interested in classic country.
Merle (if he was alive): "here's a song I wrote...hope you enjoy! *starts to play it

I've been looking for this song for so long & when I heard it for the first time in a long time in 'The Strangers', it finally hit me like a slippery fish.; Anybody who says "Fuck the movie 'The Strangers!; I looked this song because I wanted to hear, not because of some stupid movie!" is in for a rude awakening, too, by the way.

it wasn't reagan that screwed this country up it .what are you talking about.its the homos polatitions and the greedy capitalist we have today. you have now idea what you are talking about.
@bbouch111 for two centuries we sustained trade with our country's true values, exactly what the founding fathers decided was best, until Ronnie got ahold of capitalism, and fucked with it too much. Reagan was charming, not really, I wouldn't know luckily I wasn't alive during his reign of Reagonomics (lol). But he plunged this country into the depths of a giant economical and government-run crapper. So capitalism is now butting in on faith, privacy, finances, but leaving the Wealthy to thrive.
@bbouch111 I know what capitalism is. It's a retarded economic structure, just like Communism
No not communism, nooo no no. Marxism is the right version of communism. I'm not one for government to be honest, I like to be an individual and believe what I want to believe. But government, in a whole, is all bullshit. HA!
@M0j0S0D0pe420 I like your view of no government. Sounds kind of nice. lol They just need to do their job and leave us alone, just us and the constitution. I don't believe Marixism is "right", I personally believe in capitolism.
@bbouch111 capitalism isn't a bad idea. just people abuse it. same with government. maybe if we had a year of no government people will realize not to abuse things and actually take what ideas are out there and try to work with it.
your music views are bangin btw srv is a blues god

@ronniesuperfly Listen to some Texas country music. Bands such as the Josh Abbott Band, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, The Kyle Bennett Band, Bart Crow Band. But Jason Boland, really puts the heart back into the oldies. Definately a hell of a lot better than that rascal flatts bullshit, or kieth urban bullshit. Texas country is real country music..the heart of country music. Not that new Nashville shit anymore.
@avenged4life100 What's your issue? Merle Haggard is a golden, country oldie, no modern country can hold a candel to it. I don't care where he comes from. he along with hank williams, david allen coe, ernie ford, and many many others totally own anything on the radio nowadays,
@bookgirlforlife i wasn't sayin' anything bad about Merle. I love Merle. I agree they own anything on the radio nowadays. That's what i was trying to explain in my above post. That there is a select number of singers/bands who follow the oldies. Boland follows the oldies...he's a big Merle fan. I have no issue. I simply stated some bands that have an oldie flow, and they really appreciate the country that They were brought up on. Hence the reason why they have an oldie flow in their music.
@bookgirlforlife Boland has a song called "Hank". "Hank Williams wouldn't make it now in nashville, tennessee. What happened to the music, i loved so long ago..it seems it's been forgotten on our country radio. Where steel guitar and fiddle, have become a novelty, what i'd give to make things like the way they used to be." Please don't make shit into an issue bookgirl. it's youtube, not jerry springer. It's all about the love for the music. Not the love for the fights. hope that clears it up!
Is it just me, or did the band A Day to Remember copy the intro from this song? The song is Have Faith In Me. It sounds exactly like the intro of this song. :/
a B horror movie, the killers came into the house and this record was on a old player by the door, they started it and went all thru the house and in the background was this scratchy old record.... It was a pretty good flick, but the song is off the chain... That's why i have a MAMA TRIED Tattoo....
@chokeyoassout Not out to start anything, and definitely not out to diverge from this AWESOME song, but i dont think it's really fair to call "The Strangers" a B movie. It was aimed deliberately in the "terror" perspective opposed to the usual gory horrors, and for it's purpose I think it was very well made.... Horror film fans will undoubtedly let their expectations see the movie as poor though, for that reason. Just saying.
@tommymckelvey same here lol... but ive watched that movie and i dont remember this song being in it... maybe im thinkin of a different retarded ass scary movie

THE strangers
